Hi Dr berry listening from Toronto my husband had brain tumor surgery last June 9. He diagnosed with glioblastoma which is very aggressive cancer. I’m exactly the same age as you, Dr. Berry! I have been Carnivore, as described by you, for the past 30 days. I LOVE THIS!!! I’m never hungry, have plenty of energy, tightened my belt two notches already and lost 20 pounds. Goin for 90 days! Thanks so much!!
I sometimes wish that my 51 year old self could go back in time and tell my 21 year old self just to eat meat fish eggs butter and the vegetables I liked and nothing else.
I was hospitalized for pneumonia due to covid. I was given steroids and part of my daily labs were glucose checks in the morning. Never got above 100 and I know the fours years of keto/carnivore saved me for sure. Thanks for the information as always Doc 🥰
Dr Berry, this is probably the best video you have produced. It pretty much sums up all of what is right. You have known for a long time that carnivore is the only true life source. Keto was to just ease individuals into this lifestyle. Cancer, I know you can't really give advice on, but to get rid of the sugars(carbs) can help at least mitigate this horror. I can easily list 30 items that are no longer because of the Carnivore lifestyle(the natural way of eating). I've been on this lifestyle since watching your helping videos for the past year, all medical issues gone, no pills that the doctors wanted to put me on. Leveled out to a healthy weight, 262 to 195, 6'3" @ 61 years of age. AC down, fatty liver gone, hyper tension gone, BP way down, testosterone thru the roof (libido out of control), I can go on about the sleep apnea, sunburn, tags, joint pain, leg pain, dreams, etc...I'm happy I need no pills, more energy and better sleep, thank you Dr Berry and keep spreading the word.
For anyone asking about having acid reflux and heartburn after going carnivore, well the same happened to me and I suffered for three weeks until I remembered apple cider vinegar. I started taking a couple of tablespoons in a little water and glugged it down before a meal. This helped me no end. I'm now five weeks in and I don't do it any more because my stomach acid seems to have caught up! Hang on in there guys!
Thanks for the info on breaking a 3 day fast. Your last live video inspired me to re-read Jason Fung's Complete Guide to Fasting and undertake a 3 day fast, which I plan to end tomorrow. Then include at least least 42 hours every week. Haven't received my Keto Chow electrolyte and fasting drops, but am expecting them tomorrow. Thanks for all you do.
I started carnivore 3 weeks ago after being vegan for 12 years and being fat and having type II. I never understood why I could not lose my weight. I have now learned half the products I was putting in my body was bad news! I am now in the process through Dr Berry and Dr Paul S. learning a whole new way. I have lost 10lbs and my Glucose numbers are dropping like a rocket. I am now bouncing in and out of the high end of normal! First time in 10 years. If you have even one piece of advice, please send it along. (Also, it is good to hear about your recovery - there are so many vegan stories like that out there) Thanks!
Two of the most persuasive aspects of carnivore; 1, you're supposed to eat to satiety!! No calorie counting, no "fighting hunger", and you feel more full, for longer, on less food. That's HUGE. A massive sign that its our natural diet. When the body gets what it needs, it has 0 reason to demand more! Yet people who go on a "diet" often feel horribly deprived, stressed over every little calorie, and/or end up overeating without realizing it (the ol 'eating a salad with a gallon of dressing' issue....) 2, if you ask "how does your food defend itself?', what is the answer? Animals use herd behavior, legs, arms, teeth, claws. They fight you or run. Once dead, that's it. Plants, however, can't "fight" you. They can't run, or use the herd. All they have are defensive physical traits in their biology that specifically DISCOURAGES consumption, like producing a taste that discourages animals from eating it, growing thorns and hairs. And, the big one, natural pesticides. Plants are so infamous for this but people refuse to connect the dots. Anything from poison ivy, to caffeine, to nicotine, or poisonous berries and outright inedible plants. We all know plants have inherent danger that is purely defensive. But animals? They have to actively strike at you to cause damage, claws or fangs or sprays or hooves. There are so few animals that are POISONOUS vs plants that it's pretty insane. Animals are masters of action, of movement. Plants are masters of chemistry. Why the hell is it so hard for people to understand why eating an animal has far less inherent risk? Humans are so ingrained to follow the social order, its pretty scary to think about....something as simple as food....deeply twisted by authoritative lies....

Life extensions is a company that I use to get my labs checked. Much cheaper than going to your md and I can any lab I want that I watch. One a year they even have a labs test sale. They are very reliable. You buy online and take the order to a local lab they work with to get the blood drawn. THey do sell supplements and the labs are available so you can see if the Vit D levels you bought from them etc is really working. I have gotten away from the supplements but still love using their labs as it would cost me so much more to go thru the medical system and I would have to convince my MD to order. This avoids all of that.
Dr. Barry, I have been on a keto diet since I was 20 years old. I am so grateful that people are finally starting to understand how this works. I was a gestational diabetic. However, I turned into a type 2 diabetic. All I know is, I have eaten mostly protein with good green vegetables & salad with no dressing. I have been on that diet since I was 20 years old. I became a type 2 diabetic. For all y'all who don't understand or don't believe Dr. Barry you're wrong. I managed to save not just my health, but also my life, my vision & my heart. My doctor, Dr. Susie Davis Roberson in Houston Texas, she covered Houston , Katy & Brookshire Texas. Oh my gosh was this woman ahead of her time. I was pregnant I gained 30 lb in one week. I had no family no one to care about me. However, this wonderful doctor trusted me to follow what she told me to do. We were both scared that I was going to have a huge baby. I refused to take insulin. However, I really did follow what she told me to do. My children were healthy at a normal weight 1st one 7. 9 2nd one 6.10. My Obgyn didn't even trust me. But Susie did. She passed in 2010 of ovarian cancer. She was really his sister to me. I have never become obese, worse than my normal weight. I tend to have heavy Irish bone, I have my father's Italian Heavy Muscle. Hell I look really good at skin, bone & muscle at about 140 lb. So news for all of y'all, my doctor was way ahead of her time & yours. My doc new the diet. Y'all the name of the way of life is now called the keto or carnivore diet. Unfortunately she's no longer here to take credit for it. But she kept me alive. My parents, my grandparents and most of my siblings have died. The other two that are still alive & had triple and quadruple bypass. I have had nothing. My aorta is calcified due to having strep throat too many times. Which turns into scarlet fever and rheumatic fever. They both cause problems with the circulatory system. Aka the heart. If I get strep again and don't get treated quickly enough, I could die from ripping my Aorta. I really understand it because I run a temperature a minimum 105 when I do get sick. My last temperature was 105.2. My highest temperature when I was 11 years old, was 105.6. I scared my mother half to death. But, I was very calm. All worked out. However, my circulatory system took a hit. But, I'm good. I'm golden. All because of my friend Susie Davis Roberson. I wish all a good nite. Take care. Johnna
Dr. Berry, your Q&A is the best. I learn several new things every single time and I thank you. I recently had my blood work done and I want to ask you your thoughts. I am a Patron. I'm so sorry to bother y'all but I need help as to how I can reach you. I was given instructions before by one of your awesome and patient team members but I can't find the comments now. I should have screenshot them but I had COVID at the time and wasn't well. I was well enough to be watching your videos but not well enough to follow instructions haha. Thanks so much!!
I mostly can not eat processed food, herbs and additives..hot flashes…so eat a lot of pork…affordable…is this bad? Also cut out most dairy, almonds and almond flour…slowly finding my way..love the fact that you say do what you can …what you can afford and what your body is saying 🙏
Within 2 hours of eating 73%/27% ground beef, I end up with the trots, so I started buying the 80%/20% and I no longer have the trots, unless I put a little too much salt on it, BUT it's different for me, because I have IBSD...it was still happening after 2 months of carnivore, so I decided to experiment, and the 80/20 is ok. I'd have gone to 85/15 if I was still having a problem... If you DON'T have IBSD or Crohn's or other chronic stomach problem, you MOST LIKELY won't have any issues with the fattier ground beef/steak, once you adjust to the higher fat digestion.
90 days of canivor diet is a long time not to cheat… I’m 3o days in and I have had a large salad… leafy greens… and a monk fruit raw chocolate coffee or moca… that’s twice… I’m hopeless… but other then that… I’m doing good..

Filling out forms for cardio rehab therapy. It is so obvious I am not in agreement with the dietary requirements they promote for good health, ie. low fat, fruits, vegetables, and grain, minimal beef, eggs, butter or salt. Now what?
In the beginning, I too, was skeptical as I listened to the many UA-cam doctors. What convinced me were the hundreds (now thousands) of comments below each of Dr. Berry's videos. Ask yourself: Do you think all those comments are fake? Do you think all those comments are made by people lying to themselves? Many people report that after taking multiple medications for years, that they've been able to reduce the dosage or even eliminate the meds altogether.
Dr. Berry, please do a video on how to treat Lyme disease. Some of my friends here in Birmingham, AL, have been diagnosed recently. I know you have cases there in Tennessee. How is best to treat? Diet? Detox? Antibiotics? Sauna? Sun? Supplements? All of these?
Interestingly, longevity research shows quite clearly that a close to vegan diet/Mediterranean diet is most closely associated with a long life. A high protein ketogenic diet is probably the diet that’s most closely associated with death from all causes. See the work of Valter Longo.
I'm guessing that coffee is inflammatory for you. Coffee cross-reacts with gluten, so you may be sensitive to that or just to the caffeine raising cortisol. Regardless, if you feel better without coffee (inflammation, agitation, sleep) then your body is better without it. Go with that and be well!!

I am so much more productive with my caffinated coffee and cream
I did NOT know. I was buying only bacon nitrate free. Thanks for all the great honest information
Dr. Barry,
I have been on a keto diet since I was 20 years old.
My children were healthy at a normal weight
1st one 7. 9
2nd one 6.10.
Take care.
Johnna
Enjoy alllll your videos! I follow you and Dr Mindy Pelz faithfully!
I love your shirt, Dr Berry. Very stylish.
Dr. Berry has co-authored a book about lab work. It is due out in 2 or 3 weeks. I'm going to buy 2 books;. one for me and one for my doctor.
I mostly can not eat processed food, herbs and additives..hot flashes…so eat a lot of pork…affordable…is this bad? Also cut out most dairy, almonds and almond flour…slowly finding my way..love the fact that you say do what you can …what you can afford and what your body is saying 🙏
I literally love your explanation of how the human body works at the 1 hour mark!!!
Started Keto and IF on 1/11 as of today dropped 35 lbs.
Wonderful hours of answers 👏
H I Dr. Berry Elizabeth from Ohio. You have helped me so much thank you for doing this.
We must always remember the difference between normal and typical.
Ha, what a typical response. You must not be normal. ha ha
Best part of the video is seeing your baby
Didn’t know that about celery powder. Noticed it when I was checking out smoked sausage links ingredients.
Great as always. I need to find me some of this panda massaged meat.
Shocked about celery! I drink celery juice and thought it was the best thing to detox!
The best thing to detox is IF, or just fasting. It gives your body a break to repair itself.
No plant product is good for detoxing. Replace that with bone broth for real detoxing & health benefits
Celery is also high in oxalates & juicing makes it easier for harmful plant toxins to permeate the gut into your blood. I would stop drinking it ASAP…
90 days of canivor diet is a long time not to cheat… I’m 3o days in and I have had a large salad… leafy greens… and a monk fruit raw chocolate coffee or moca… that’s twice… I’m hopeless… but other then that… I’m doing good..
You are still on a very low carb diet. Should see great results!
Lex Williams - salt is a mineral, not from a plant. Pepper is from a plant.
I lost 15lbs in the first week of carnivore. Another 5 the next week. I’m already skinny . I am an ectodorph
I love coffee. 🤎 ☕☕☕
Coffee, coffee, coffee ...👍
You instill hope, thank you.
Gave up the carbs almost 4 years ago and feeling good enough for a 65 year old ... would be fantastic if I could give up drinking alcohol 🤪
Agreed 👍
Been keto for nine years ,now carnivore for three weeks !! Gave up the booze ( bottle of red daily) 18 months ago !! 73 years old . Great to feel in control of my life !!
@@wendycarter5718 I wish my hubby would do that! He's 73 and thinks red wine is "healthy!"
Me too! I have 1 gin and tonic before bed to help me sleep
Thank you so much!
Did Neisha say: “that’s what he sings to Bonnie.” ???
Hi from London, UK
I eat butter straight from the stick, my sister thinks I've lost my mind. LOL
Girl, me.too. Yummo!
Yes. I have to do it behind my wife's back. I'll eat a half a stick sometimes.
A big cut of butter with a slice of steak on the fork ...how good is that.
How's you cholesterol, specifically the tri?

My 53 yr old could go back and kick my 35 yr old ass. Hahahahhaa. Love you guys
Replay. Thank you for all the time you take to explain everything.
I love butter and enjoyed Butter Bob Briggs, Butter Makes your pants fall off videos.
Filling out forms for cardio rehab therapy. It is so obvious I am not in agreement with the dietary requirements they promote for good health, ie. low fat, fruits, vegetables, and grain, minimal beef, eggs, butter or salt. Now what?
Sorry mate puts you in a bad place ... have to believe what the Doc is presenting or not.
I can eat celery powder nitrates but can't do other forms of sodium nitrates. Get migraines from them.
When doing a live, place it on slow mode.
I did not know that celery powder was nitrates. Interesting!
Dr. Berry, PLEASE do a video on Lyme disease!!!
Liverwurst....Check the ingredients. I checked ours and it's full of garbage.
I just cut out coffee and noticed my feet are not hurting as bad. Coincidence or could that be the reason for my foot pain. Any ideas ????
I'm guessing that coffee is inflammatory for you.
Coffee cross-reacts with gluten, so you may be sensitive to that or just to the caffeine raising cortisol. Regardless, if you feel better without coffee (inflammation, agitation, sleep) then your body is better without it. Go with that and be well!!
Coffee should not be put directly onto the feet nor in your shoes. Coffee goes in a coffee maker.
@@c_b5060 - haha
Two BIG Thumbs UP!!
I would like to see you do a rebuttal on this UA-cam video that just came out please. Carnivore vs veganism Dr Steve Gundry has his say.
Hi
Ketovore 6 mo, Carnivore for 14 months.
Love my Carnivore Lifestyle!!!!
Thanks for the information you give for all!!!!
Bloodwork says I have very low ferritin levels but not anemic.
Help me?????
Thanks!
Do you eat red meat? Or, do you lean more towards leaner meats such as chicken?
@@jimmytodd545
Yes, I only eat chicken about once every two weeks...poultry is not my favorite. So mostly red meats once or twice a day....an ounce of braunswiger at least every 2-3 days.
A dozen egg yolks a week. Bone broth at least 5 times a week. Fish 1-2 times a week. HWC daily in my coffee. 2-4 oz hard cheese a week.
Supplements of magnesium, potassium, zink, trace minerals, L-lizine and 5 mcg Melatonin.
I didn’t know about the nitrates . I buy bacon with no nitrates / no nasties. Am I being fooled . I pay a lot more for this bacon. 👍💖🇬🇧
How do I determine my need/amount of electrolytes?
I never had or wanted children but I did have endometriosis chronically and reversed it though Carnivora’ diet it incredibly how I have a normal and symptom free life
I am so glad you commented. I want kids. Had excision surgery. Struggling with bowel issues. Severe cramping and have SIBO. But i am adding more and more meat and my ferrintin is so low
@@itsagoodday2165 good luck finger cross you will get there I have no doubt you will bring a beautiful baby into the world 😊x
Just go cold turkey with the caffeine and find out how deep your sleep can really be. If you slept properly last night you wouldn't need caffeine today.
I am hispanic and grew up eating flour tortillas and refried beans and just whatever we had in house,so now im trying Keto because i have been heavy almost all my life so im trying to do my best and start eating Keto but so many people post videos on keto but im not sure where to begen. Any help is appreciated.

Anyone watching Adam Eats the 80s on the history channel? No wonder why we are in such bad shape health wise.
caffein exacerbates seasonal allergies. I can only drink it in the winter.
So, celery powder equals nitrates; I was wondering why I kept seeing celery powder in the ingredients.
Cecil..use the catalog link when you get into the website.
Welllll, maybe since it’s not synthetic the celery powder is a better kind of nitrate
This is the first time I've heard a doc say that nitrates are good for you.
Where do I find the show notes?
New merch idea. "Eat your meat!" ;)
You recommend pastured meats, dairy and poultry. I recently realized grassfed beef can be fed corn silage. Corn is a grass and silage is a cost effective feed. But likely GMO. Can you please address this in a video?
Dr. can you save my life for keto best thing I’ve ever done 76 years old lost 51 pounds thank you
Thanks!
Carnivore-uric acid went up, causing problems -be nice to hear about solutions
This happened to me during adaption. I read it can happen as the body dumps it. It will pass. 1 tsp of Apple cider vinegar diluted in water several times a day helps.
What problems? I ended up with a UTI.
I wonder if the ACV would help with this?
@@5solas743 it will
Wouldn’t natural nitrates in vegetables be better than the added nitrates in bacon and lunch meats??
Believe I have an oxalate problem. Anyone have trouble with these while seating carnivore?
On Carnivore: how much animal protein is too much protein. I starting to have kidney pain.
No limit. That's not pain from carnivore. That's pain from oxalates. Your former veg eating ways are being detoxed.
Hirts like hell.
Carnivore does not harm kidneys. Impossible.
@@duststorm7287 thanks, That makes sense! I hadn’t considered oxalates.
@@garymanz3403 yes. And it can last a long time sometimes. Oxalate dumping is horrible. Was for me. It landed between my shoulder blades radiating down both arms. Thought i was having a heart attack every day for 3 months. I knew better but it hurt badly. You just have to tough it out to rid yourself of them.
Brutal for some people.
My husband says I look hotter now at 43 and Carnivore than when I was younger eating inflammatory food 😊
