2 weeks carnivore so far a leap of faith. All the Adults in my family have Metabolic syndrome symptoms and no clue that something as radical as a carnivore lifestyle would benefit them. I will keep quiet and show by my results what is possible. A June vacation planed at the beach for us all. I hope 90 days carnivore will get noticed. If they want to know how the I drop the carnivore bombshell wish me success. Thanks Dr. Berry

Everyone will be skeptics and even against you until the results are apparent. Then some will still deny reality. Those people would prefer magic pills and lack the will power to succeed at much if anything.

I can not believe that you said that about a hysterectomy. My OBGYN told me that since I'm not having any children I didn't need my uterus, that that was the only purpose and to get a hysterectomy to get rid of heavy periods and pain. Unbelievable! I'm so glad you talk about these issues. I appreciate you so much you have no idea!!!!! and your wife Neisha too!

The problem with today's doctors began over a century ago with the Rockefeller family. They threw money at medical colleges in exchange for the Rockefellers having some of their own people on the colleges' boards of directors. But they also wanted medical colleges to focus on petroleum-based medicines, instead of natural cures. In the 1990s, doctors-in-training were given ego boosts telling them that they don't need to "listen" to patients. I noticed this behavioral shift in 1997 with younger, newer doctors. Dr. Blaylock also noticed this shift. In one anecdotal story, a nurse asked the resident doctor about nutrition to help a specific patient, but the doctor ridiculed her: "Oh, you're one of those!" As if nutrition had nothing to do with health, but toxic, petrochemical medicines were the only thing that could "help" patients.
It's the *_Disease Maintenance_* paradigm established by people who cared more about profits and power than they did for relieving the suffering of their fellow man. They had *_cures_* outlawed. Even talking about cures became illegal in certain circumstances.
Reference: *_Dumb Genius: How intelligence is sometimes its own worst enemy_*

I'm doing a 16 hour daily fast and am also basically doing OMAD with a small snack of 1 oz. each Dry Roasted & Salted Brazil Nuts and Pecans.
I'm down to 30 grams of carbs a day and on February 8th my A1c was 5.0
My PCP said I don't want to know what you're doing, but don't stop!! Lol!! She told me to Stop taking my diabetic meds after I told her I stopped taking them, lol! My PB has gone from ~190/90 to ~110/65 and I've cut my dose from 10mg to 5mg. I feel better doing that and my PB is ~120/70
a little more and I'll get off of that too!! I eat as much salt & drink as much caffeine (unsweet tea) as I want.
My PCP asked me what my motivation for keeping my lifestyle change permanent. I told her all I had to do was look down and see two missing legs below the knee that I lost last Summer due to Diabetes.
Thanks You Dr. Berry, You'll Never Understand How Much You've Helped Us.

I was given a pineapple as a gift yesterday and it kept calling to me from the kitchen until I ate a bowl of it. Today I was up by 3 lbs., and while I know it's likely all water weight, I was not a happy camper. The fruit tasted like candy to me now, absolutely delicious. Almost 1 year on the PHD and I've lost 74-lbs. I'm 5"1" tall and down from 184-lbs to 110-lbs. Here's a suggestion for those of you who need to figure a way to add more salt to your diet - sprinkle a bit of salt on your coffee grounds before brewing. You will not be able to taste the salt and it will make the coffee taste less bitter. This is a trick I learned in my days as a waitress. Thank you, Dr. Berry, as it was because I listened to your advise and removed all the sugar and starches from my diet. My friends and family thought I was crazy to do so but you cannot argue with results. One of those naysayers has joined me on this journey and has lost over 50-lbs. I bet by the time you finish your quest to make Americans more healthy you will have contributed to reducing our country's obesity problem to a fourth of what it is today. As far as I am concerned you and all the other doctors in the trenches with you have earned the Presidential Medal of Freedom because what can be more critical to a nation then the health of its citizens?

    Love your channel and info.
Quick fasting comment. You mentioned that if you are close to ideal body weight there is no reason to fast longer than 3 days. I can think of a few good reasons to fast longer than 3 days, even if you are at ideal body weight. Dr Thomas Seyfried (cancer as a metabolic disease) recommends a 5 day water only fast once per year to decrease your chance of cancer. Also, if you have excess skin due to weight loss, my research shows that your skin elasticity can be enhanced starting around day 3 of a multiday fast. So a fast lasting longer than 3 days would be good for your skin.
Regarding statin drugs, my research showed that when they did their initial studies ( I believe in the 70's), that people with the lowest cholesterol had the highest mortality. Death was due to suicide.
Smoking comment. Based on my own experience, smoking is about the underlying issue of stress management. Cigarettes are a quick fix to take the edge off your day (I found them better than alcohol). Find a better way to manage your stress and you will not need the cigarettes.

My oral lichen planus resolved in 3 months of low carb (40 carbs/day). It was a mild case, not erosive, but I'd had it for 10 years, monitored by an oral pathologist who was a specialist in this area, who told me I had a classic case. So whoever was asking about lichen planus, at the very least, low carb made a difference.

After deciding to eliminate any co-morbidities I may have in case I got the virus , my local General Practitioner DO of 25 years recently gave me the bad news. After two years of Keto and regular walking I lost 60 lbs and was no longer prediabetic. My triglycerides were down and HDL went up. My blood pressure and fasting glucose were down, But my cholesterol went from 195 to 241 and my LDL went up. He did not congratulate me. He just said it was time to take Lipitor. I said no way. I then asked him if I got The virus and ended up in the hospital, would he put me on a delayed protocol treatment with Remdesivir instead of early treatment with Iver - mek - tin. He said yes. Dr. Berry, is there any way to find a new doctor in my area who doesn’t want to kill me? I am searching as I no longer trust my doctor.

To the person asking why B12 raises their blood sugar: for one it probably means that the B12 is still not enough in that too little gets absorbed. So when body sees the extra B12, it goes straight into RBC production mode, which requires sugar to fuel the new blood. In any case it seems unlikely any effect at all would be seen at sufficient B12 levels, because the body wouldn't need to do anything different.

Saw my doctor today and told him I CANNOT get into ketosis after 2 months of keto. So he told me to go carnivore, cut out ALL dairy including butter. Then said I can eat up to 5 cups daily of fruits and vegetables. 😳. How is that carnivore???? 🤦‍♀️. That’s carbs which are just keeping my blood sugar up. That sounds like a normal diet to me. He is the one that pushed keto to lower my A1C, so it confuses me that he says to eat carbs on carnivore.

2 Questions: 1 People are eating nose to tail these days to include brains. Is this wise and is there a risk of exposure to prions and some form of prion disease? 2.
