    I am going on 76.
My ophthalmologist checked intra ocular pressure, 6 weeks ago. One eye pressure 23 the other 17.
Said my pressures are elevated and needed to be medication (eye drops) for glaucoma.
I went in yesterday to be rechecked.
The assistant did my pressures again and they were 10 and 12. She said that was not possible from my last testing. She said the Dr would recheck.
The dr said the assistant must have made error.
He rechecked the pressures and the got 10 and 11.
He said that it was not possible and he had never seen improvements in pressure without using medication.
I said I started my own intervention a month ago.
I have been Ketovore for a month, in ketosis ( confirmed via pee strips). Including fasting and IF.

I just started eating carnivore. I'm 76 years old and am now building cages, after my husband passed away. I had been eating junk food for quite a while afterward. I was feeling extremely tired and my leaky gut was worse. I changed to carnivore, and a couple of days later, I felt better, was alert, and had more stamina while working. No blood work done yet. I've been able to pass up the junk in the grocery stores...because of the way this makes me feel. I can now use my riveter with only one hand.

I waited a full year before checking my blood and it was superb, I’m 68.
Best wishes for your journey to optimum health.
I just (after 2 years) discovered when I try to eat tomatoes or tomato sauce my thumb inflammation returns. (Old injury)
No pain if I am strict.
Also tried a scone and couldn’t sleep well for 3 nights(anxiety). Before you start reintroducing foods, have a good 6 months to yearning healing. I went two years because my issues were severe.

Started BBBE & Carnivore about 90 days age. She’s been 2 months without taking her injectable meds & is feeling GREAT! And between us, down almost 50lbs…

Thankyou very much it’s been a few weeks and it’s been rough. I don’t feel much benefit yet. I’m trying. Hopefully my system just needs more time? I hear all these people saying all these improvements after a week or two and it kinda bums me out that I’m not dropping lbs quicker and actually feel worse sometimes with nausea and digestion issues.

    • @Jchathe
      @Jchathe 11 місяців тому +6

@@heidigib01 It very much depends on how much healing your body has to do. Kelly Hogan actually put on weight during the first 6 months. Check out as many testimonials as you can and know that it will happen at the right time for you. I found when I upped my fat after a few months I didn't lose any weight but lost 13 inches and 2 clothes sizes! I was in shock, haha! I think if you can just relax into it and enjoy what you are eating then it will happen naturally when your body is ready. All the best to you, Heidi.

Now on 6th year of carnivore / ketovore. I am a seasonal eater; summertime, when local Amish farmers sell fresh veggies, I include them. Otherwise, I eat meat, eggs, some cheeses, and sour cream. I do IF, at 19:5; eating window is 7PM till midnight. For over 5 years now, have been at my weight when 17-18, now 70 years old, down over 50 pounds from before. A1c before in unk, but now ranges 5.1 to 5.3. I am a SUGAR ADDICT, but have not eaten ANY sugar for 3+ years now, including hidden sugars. Overall, I feel great and enjoy active lifestyle. No meds, other than an allergy pill, and a few supplements (zinc, D3, magnesium, 81mg aspirin, berberine etc.). Thanks Dr Berry for all you, and a handful of other docs do.

57 year old female, 139 lbs. from the great state of Maine. Just got Lipid panel done.
TC 269, HDL 71, LDL 179, TG 99. CRP-cardiac 0.09. My doctor(which is an MD) said he would not even consider putting me on a statin since my 10 year risk for heart disease is 1 percent. I asked him about a CAC scan and he told me I don't meet the criteria to have that test. I thought for sure he would push a statin on me. I try to eat healthy and do some walking but don't follow a specific diet. So glad to have a doctor who thinks the same as Dr. Berry!

I'm like that myself I don't go to the doctors unless I'm sick and can't take care of it myself so I understand how you feel. The thing about the CAC test is once you have it done you can refer back to it if you ever have the test done again to see if it went up or down. It's one of the tests Dr Berry recommends everyone has done and so do other keto experts. Plus, wouldn't it be good to know what your CAC score is? 🙂

Uncle John. It's also useful to have some hard boiled eggs in the fridge. Some people get an uncontrollable urge to eat. It is far better to eat hard boiled eggs, than eat normal snacks. Always keep the hard boiled eggs in the fridge in case that mate comes and when he is eating crisp/chips munch into your eggs, eating yolks.
Take hard boiled eggs shopping with you. Eat when you get that terrible urge as you pass the junk food aisles. I've not had that problem, but I know people who do. It has to be better than eating junk. Make sure especially in the early stages to never shop on an empty stomach.

I started a keto/ketovore diet March 6. My journey started because my first visit with the cardio doc he told me that I would be unable to get my triglicerides down from 414 with just diet and I would need meds. I am allergic to almost every steriod that had been produced. His comment made me that more determined. 60 days after starting the diet I had to have routine blood tests done. My tri's were down to 93. The family doc was not the least bite pleased with that. She was concerned because the LDL had gone up some. As of today, I have lost 50 pounds and feel better than I did in March. I am still on Keto/Ketovore and will stay there.

This sounds so much like my experience. I also started the PHD in mid March and had labs two months later. Even though the tris were normalized my slight elevation in LDL had my family doctor recommending a mostly plant-based diet. I had also lost about 20 lbs but she wasn't interested in how I accomplished it. Best wishes as your journey continues.

Thankyou Dr Berry I really enjoyed your dialogue. 7 months in with carnivore and at optimal weight, reduced thyroid meds, and have recently had ear infection which was helped to recover by fasting. Also suntan arrived early in the year (I'm from London ) and despite our climate which has been cloudy, cooler and more unsettled than usual the tan doesn't seem to be fading. Another great benefit to PHD.

You’re awesome Dr B! There is never a single video of yours that I don’t gain some wisdom, and tears by the way on this one for how you advised the man who was 600 lbs. I have many questions for you my friend so maybe I should join your group. Do you have to be on zoom? Anyway could I be a member just through my iPhone? We’ve had a lot of computer problems lately and will have to get a new one but may be a while. My hubby is a pastor and can use the church computer as needed but I wouldn’t want to have to to be a group member. Sending much love and gratitude for ALL that you do!🥰
