Nearly made me cry watching this 😢 I love that beautiful majestic plane and the powerful motors it has, and the sound it made when it roared up into the sky. I really really hope they bring it back in 2019
kids: A380 men: a320 and 737 heroes: 747 legends and gods: concord i sadly never saw that concorde irl, didnt even live for a few years AFTER its reitrement. i still love this plane.
Just an absolutely beautiful aeroplane, the pinnacle of British aerospace engineering. Saw the three Concordes landing one after the other live on TV in Britain, never to be repeated again. Good on the BBC for bringing it to us though sadly I dont think supersonic air travel will ever happen again.
I worked as BA cabin crew and in my mind there was nothing to touch the beauty and elegance of her also the big bird 747 ! Something about watching those planes take off that captures you
All.these years on (2024) still.makes me sad to watch these reports, i was at LHR on that final day of Concorde service and to watch the 3 land in quick succession was simply stunning a sight never to be repeated.
20 years since. I guarantee you that if people hated Concorde 27 years before this historic moment, that resentment was sure and long gone by the time of this final touchdown.
World most safest and fastest plan in the world. No any other passengers plan can compare with concord.Beautiful plan and also concord provide a long safe journey career to the people's.unbelievable
I think (unfortunately) we have again the Tech/Internet to blame for the demise of Corcorde. Business men now have Skype/Internet conferencing etc and have no need to fly Supersonic to other Countries as much as before. Very sad. Wish there could be some "Corcorde" Group that could keep one of these beautiful beasts flying.
Heartbreaking - and shame of Air France and Aerospace for withholding spares that are now gathering dust in a hanger in Toulouse - Branson had the ability to save this beautiful plane....
Wait for BOOM. I have written them to put 186seats so the fares could be more affordable. Imagine the fares on an 80seater. I am looking forward London to Singapore in 5hours instead of 13hours.
Sad day to see Concorde put to rest, Yes are country has giving up again, we don't make anything anymore, even are cars were giving away, Sad old UK, stop wasting are money, lets start to build again
SOME CONCORDES OF COURSE, LATER FLEW TO THEIR FINAL RESTING PLACES, E.G . MUSEUMS, AROUND THE WORLD. THE LAST CONCORDE MADE (1979) G--BOAF 216 FLEW TO FILTON BRISTOL, WHERE IT DISGRACEFULLY, WAS LEFT OUT IN ALL WEATHER'S FOR MANY YEARS, BUT NOW RESIDES IN A PURPOSE BUILT NEW MUSEUM ON THE SIGHT, WITH MANY OTHER EXIBITS, OF BRISTOL AEROPLANES LONG AND ILLUSTRIOUS HISTORY, RESTS. WELL WORTH A VISIT.
It was too expensive to fly and to fly on. Concorde tickets cost over $10,000. There were also concerns of damage to the ozone layer, which were logical given how high the Concorde flew. It was also aged; it required a flight engineer and still had analog controls. Meanwhile, fly-by-wire airliners such as the Boeing 777 and Airbus A320 had been dominating the market. Concorde would just be too expensive to support and not profitable enough to be practical. The best option was to land for good.
Actually Concorde was one of the first fly-by-wire aircraft it might have had a fully analogue cockpit but the control surfaces were controlled by a primitive computer system impressive for 1960s technology to be fair. It set the foundation for modern airliners today, it also used composite materials in some of its construction as well. Source: www.concordesst.com/flightsys.html Also Concorde did actually make money for British Airways, 25% of BA profits in the late 1980s came from Concorde flights directly. The Paris Crash and 9/11 screwed Concorde over. 50 of her most frequent flyers were killed in the WTC attacks. The British Airways relaunch after the 2000 Paris crash also occurred on 11th September 2001. If those two tragic events had never happened the plan was to retire the Concorde fleet between the years of 2010-2012 that information is from the Project Rocket Team, who started the last refit to Concorde in 2000/01. This is when the airframes would have exhausted their life if flights had continued to 2012 or so.
Rest in peace, old friend 😭😭😭
Brings a tear to my eye.
It is still the most beautiful and exciting airliner ever...
I cried when those amazing concordes landed
Good bless and Rest In Peace
Nearly made me cry watching this 😢 I love that beautiful majestic plane and the powerful motors it has, and the sound it made when it roared up into the sky. I really really hope they bring it back in 2019
2029* United airlines.

A very sad day. Will always be the most greatest achievement ever. I really hope we see it in the sky again in the future.

Masterpiece of aviation industry...no plane can come closer to it.
In a couple weeks time. It’s 15 years of Concorde’s last ever flight. It was on Friday 24th October 2003.
The last ever flight of Concorde was to Bristol Filton👆🏻
All.these years on (2024) still.makes me sad to watch these reports, i was at LHR on that final day of Concorde service and to watch the 3 land in quick succession was simply stunning a sight never to be repeated.
What an amazing Plane! Wish I could fly in the Concorde!!
A week on Wednesday 24th October marks the 15th anniversary of concorde’s final flight. It was back in 2003. @EmilySwood @AlexOsborneTV

Alex Osbourne and Emily Wood will be excited to see that event in a couple weeks time as it happened 15 years ago.

Mike Bannister is a true legend
People still miss this aircraft.
long live Speedbird Concorde!!!
Can't wait to see it back in 2019 . They said on the news!!!
+John Cefrenicia Really? I thought they were all decommissioned and turned into stationary exhibits.
they lied, it is not flying anywhere
they did?
I saw the last three flights
Same here! six years old and watching from a gridlocked road just off LHR!
Wish Richard Branson had put his money where his mouth was and purchased at least a couple of the Concordes to keep them flying.
AGREE
A massive step backwards.
October 24th 2003 was the day that glamorous commercial air travel died.
Modernize the Concord and make em fly again
but most airlines are moving onto less fuel efficient airplanes like like the 747-8 787-8 dreamliner A350-900 and the 777X
10 years ago today..
7:39 I feel the same way kid
Same
Dad: Why are you crying so damn loud!
The future Beethoven I was going to say that
tears
What about the Air France Concorde?
Yes, what about it?
Funny that it said on the news a faw weeks it ago it coming back in 2019 and it 2018 can't wait!
cant wait for them to say thesame after covid... really cant

Your caps lock broken my friend?
*site. Simpleton.
I feel like that kid 7:40 😐
3:09 dont worry little boy, uts replacin itself in 2019:)
planes spotter and railfanner they will still never be anything like the elegance or beauty concorde had.. 😢
why they ended them anyways? I dont have intell on that.
well it because of 2 things. Concorde uses a lot of fuel and Concorde produce noise pollution A.K.A sonic boom.
It was too expensive to fly and to fly on. Concorde tickets cost over $10,000. There were also concerns of damage to the ozone layer, which were logical given how high the Concorde flew. Triplea135 134 it had noise pollution and high fuel consumption for more than 20 years they killed it after that many years . Makes sense to you ?

I blame the Americans.
Should have made them long range bombers
that could be a good idea, but the tu 160 exists, so
blah blah the concorde is coming back in 2019 for another try when they get nore money
Engineers should make a new one, with lighter material, make it more efficient.
BBC sold out as per USUAL…. lol
What a weird looking plane
😢😂8
