I just finished orientation this past weekend for MHA. Of course everything Jay said is 100 % true . The main thing they stressed was ATTENDANCE!!! They even said 85 percent of the job was coming to work ON TIME!! One young lady was sleeping hard I thought she was gone but they didn’t throw her out . It was so disrespectful. Yes it is boring . I had my first day as a seasonal MHA. It’s not too bad . A lot of bending and repetition . I was on the low cost tray sorter . Just listen to Jay and you will be straight .

@@tatianagovantes3467 Hello to you and Royer . I applied ( took assessment) around the end of July and I got an email offering me the job about 4 to 5 days later the first week of August . I had 3 days to accept or reject the offer . I think after I accepted the job I had 3 days to do my background and I got an email about scheduling finger prints . All of this is at the beginning of August . I didn’t hear from them again until the end of September. They called and said to look for orientation email week of 4 October. I went to orientation this past weekend and had my first day yesterday . As you can see it took a few months . Just keep checking email and wait for the phone call. Every case is different . I am also a vet. I am impatient so I understand. Hang in there they will get to you .

MY WAR STORY: I have an EIN number but an idiot from HR removed me from the system and put me down as terminated. I was told this would be taken care of same day in orientation. These ppl had me report to work and quit my other job, work for a full week and now I can't get paid and have been sitting at home for my 2nd week making NO MONEY. 😤 I was told I might need a new EIN number. I've spoken to HR and management NOBODY gaf all they keep saying is wait. I'm missing out on 1000's at this point. I will not be unenrolling from the union atp. They're not able to help me.

My Guy Jay H I had my first day of orientation yesterday going back for Day 2 today I’m coming in as a PTR Custodian there isn’t anything in the handbook about us and our facilitator pretty much just knows RCA CCA And MS so I’m on my own island but I see the 5% match really won’t miss that good thing to do I guess being prior service was a blessing she really couldn’t explain USPS and Military time how that goes but I appreciate all you do been following you since March keep doing what your doing King Blessings to you and your family🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Informational meeting was on Sept. 23rd, went in with a long sleeve collared shirt, dress pants, and sneakers. Like you mentioned, the first thing they pointed out was the shoes, and the fact that many people did not follow basic instructions. Still waiting on orientation, no follow up email yet.

Applied in July ; got offer in September; did fingerprints Sept. 29 .It’s now been just a little over a month since I did my fingerprints. Oct. 29 made a month so I’m just patiently waiting on this orientation date. I didn’t apply for a seasonal position ,but from what I’m seeing everyone is only getting seasonal. Hi I never got my virtual orientation email I tried contacting different people to let them know. I got an official welcome to the post office and what to do after virtual orientation (virtual orientation is on tomorrow, November 6, 2021. On Monday we go for ID badges and to complete official paperwork. If I don't do the virtual training will they hold it against me?
Did you ever figure it out ? The man on the phone told me that I would receive 2 emails . The last one would be the email containing the virtual link for orientation . Have not received it yet , contacted him & no response yet . It’s on November 20th for me .
@@kaylabarboza2401 yeah I just went to the meeting they had on that Monday. There were lots of others who did not get the email on how to log in virtually. Since there were so many of us they did Virtual orientation that day. We were able to sign the rest of the paperwork and swear in and get our ID cards the same day. I hope you hear something soon. Update she got fired I believe she's been no vague on what happened but I kno lastnight when i asked the question she was escorted off by a union rep she kept telling the supervisor that she didnt manipulate the time and he said yes you've said that 12 times I just told yo all you should have said is yea sir wont Happen again and keep it moving

I know she said you were on vacation but I wasn’t sure how long you’d be gone or if I could speak to someone else..last Monday was my first day with USPS and I started at the Xmas annex Wed and Thursday and then Friday, Sat and Monday I was downtown. I didn’t have a time card yet and accidentally left my badge and EIN number in my car so I walked back to get it…I was 7 minutes late clocking in do to this and I went to get a blank time card and put .50 as the minutes because there wasn’t a supervisor to help me with the correct minutes. Bob and terry then come up to me and say that I falsified my time card and that I was late on two separate occasions. I tried to tell terry that I had never been late before this and took pics of my time card and explained I forgot my ein number and badge in the car. He told me he didn’t care and cut me off and told me to go home. I started crying because of his he treated me (Jenna was with me the whole time) he then told me he was going to call the cops on me and walked me out and I’m in my car getting my keys and he walked to my car and threatened to call the cops on me again….I’m a hard worker and I’m honest and I just started on the floor on Wed. He then told me he’d call me the next day which I didn’t get a call until after 7:30 so I was assuming he wasn’t having me come in at that point. I told him I don’t live in Evansville and would have to go home and change but that I could be there in about an hour and he said that was fine. The second I get there he asks for my badge and makes me leave again. I’m devastated and humiliated and I don’t think I was given a fair chance. Sorry this is so long but I really need this job and was enjoying it before this. Is there anyone I can talk to about this and how it was handled?! @@morbid1 the main reason they hire for seasonal help is when Thanksgiving, Christmas,new years hit with all these sales such as black Friday and so on mail and package will be crazy that's why they hire seasonal for extra support but as u say it's great to come to work and be on time give u a better chance as getting called back
@@justinking5535 Right on . I was talking with a manager last night and he confirmed that people just won’t show up for work plus are lazy and won’t do what they are supposed to . Instead of unloading mail trays they are standing around talking .

What's the deal with these "Real ID's" from the DMV. They state that you can't enter a federal building without one of these Real ID's issued from the DMV. Isn't the post office considered a federal building. I know someone who's applying to the USPS and has a driver license that says federal limits apply at the top of it. He's concerned he won't be able to enter the post office unless he upgrades to that "Real ID" that most the states have. Can you elaborate on this if possible?
No idea sir. Im assuming that REAL ID is what mostly every agency from banks to airports to fed buildings are asking for. I assume when u renew your licence it will be upgraded to the new id. Mine was

The location I accepted is a little far from me but nothing has fallen in Closer to me. Is there a chance for transfer if something closer becomes available or am I committed to that location for a certain period of time? I am a CCA. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Sometimes people be scare to ask questions and that person saves the day with the question you wanted to ask and you get your answer you wanted. Anyway, being former military, post office sounds like it military structure and if a person not used to that, he or she will be scare to rise their hand , but i get where you coming from about too many questions.

What's the deal with these "Real ID's" from the DMV. They state that you can't enter a federal building without one of these Real ID's issued from the DMV. Isn't the post office considered a federal building. I know someone who's applying to the USPS and has a driver license that says federal limits apply at the top of it. He's concerned he won't be able to enter the post office unless he upgrades to that "Real ID" that most the states have. Can you elaborate on this if possible?

Thank you so much for your videos and guidance through this process. I have finally gotten my orientation emails. I started orientation on Monday but I have a question. The location I accepted is a little far from me but nothing has fallen in Closer to me. Is there a chance for transfer if something closer becomes available or am I committed to that location for a certain period of time? I am a CCA. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Sure
Sometimes people be scare to ask questions and that person saves the day with the question you wanted to ask and you get your answer you wanted. Anyway, being former military, post office sounds like it military structure and if a person not used to that, he or she will be scare to rise their hand , but i get where you coming from about too many questions.
