This is accurate. I have a long distance thing with someone but these things can be said for both of us....we both ...are moving in this direction. I'm gonna enjoy the ride.. who knows but it's nice to have this with someone who I liked initially. I definitely notice these signs, even I'm the one who might not be too scared of commitment.... hypothetically... And I think I'm the commitment phobe...the woman :)

There is someone in my life that initiated our relationship from the start. I did nothing. I had no intention of opening this part of my heart ever again. I believed it would kill me, to have to go that level of pain again at this age & stage of my life, so I cauterized my heart & numbed it with drugs for a few years. Well, God had other plans, & decided it was time for me to feel again, & has circumcised my heart, for it’s bleeding pain again from this man who promised with every beautiful word he use, that he was different, & he would never do to me what these other men did. I still talk to him, but I don’t know what I’m doing

I think that there needs to be a follow up video of what to look for that ends up being love-bombing that can lead to abuse. I had all of this in a few months and then it turned into a nightmare…

This explains alot! They will come on so strong that it freaks me out but now I get it. It can be a bit too sudden though, because I need information about them and their life before trusting that being in love with them and accepting them as my own will not turn out to be a bad idea. Meeting someone and being infatuated with that person is one thing; truly knowing what type of situation awaits you in a real relationship with that person can be quite another and the only way to be sure is not to depend solely on your potential partner's words and actions towards you during courting, but to have deeper insight into their way of life, and to find out their expectations from you once you become their partner because behavior during the courting stage frequently does not always (or usually) match their behavior after the courting stage has gone into the commitment stage and you each assume the role of a dedicated partner. (That's due to their upbringing and tends to be engrained into their psyche very deeply, although it may or may not be the way they are in their committed relationships, it usually is, for each partner.)

So with a Narcissistic Personality, the love stages will not last. It will not be consistent for very long. It turns sour slowly. You also, can feel it in time that there really is no real, meaningful connection. He'll intellectually know you, but there's always gonna be something missing, lacking and you can feel it. So take a little time with this person. Be sure you're grounded with yourself.

I'm new to dating coming out of a 36 year marriage. My question is...Is it normal for a guy to date you for a few weeks and then go completely cold and not hear from him for a few day...No text messages or phone calls.
Be very careful they prey on newly divorced ppl who are naive to dating. Words mean nothing. Guard your heart.
Keep it moving, sister. He's either not really interested, or he's playing one of the many games guys play to get you to fixate on them. Sadly, it works...when you don't know any better. I was married 35 years and then had to learn all the lessons the hard way. I dated a seemingly great guy for 7 months and he did all the things Mat listed here...and then he dumped me the day before Thanksgiving (which we planned to spend at my house) and never called me again. You never truly know what is in another persons mind.

I have never in my life been loved then. All I’ve ever had is narcissistic love bombing and all sorts thrn subltle abuse leading to really bad abuse and I always stay and stay giving benefit of the doubt til one day a few yrs down the track I have to walk away from all that. I’m sick of getting abused I am a freaking good lady keep my home n kids and myslef all put together etc and I can never ever have anyone that wants me for me or loves me truly and wants to be with me without abusing me I am so freakin sick of it!!!!!
