My daughter and I decided that we have to try making this. We live in New Orleans and a lot of our cemeteries have these because you can't just bury caskets in the ground. Ours won't be as elaborate as yours because we've never done anything like this. But we thought we could give it a try and make a cemetery to represent New Orleans.
That's great enjoy the build. One of my patrons built a huge New Orleans style cemetery. He won the Craft Off in The Coven. You can see a picture of his build in the community tab of my UA-cam channel!

So, amazing piece again. I totally like that it is modular. I noticed you put the magnet it, but then didn't attach anything to it. BTW, crafting tip: to save magnets, i have been using plain old Daisy BB's. They are steel and like 350 of them are under a dollar at Walmart. Being steel they have enough iron to stick to the magnet.

Absolutely Awesome Piece! And very versatile as you put it ;) Might be a cool idea to add some more inserts to give it even more uses. Maybe an insert for the backside when using it as a cryptentrance to give some more illusion of depth to the piece. Or another side to the gate so it would work well even as a freestanding gate, like an entrance to the cemetery itself. Lots of possibilities!

The Hero Quest I loved was by Sierra. Eventually had to change its name because of conflict with Milton-Bradleys version to Quest for Glory. Still one of my favorite games 30 years later
I really like this build. The only thing I wouldve done differently was for the crypt was maybe bring the doors or the back wall of the mausoleum a little more towards the panel with the fountain to give it a look like the mausoleum look bigger some what since there is so much empty space between them. But I agree it looks awesome
Like maybe have the doors and the backside up closer to the easter egg to eliminate some dead space between the two, but still allowing a little bit of space between them so that over time the egg doesnt rub indentations into the other pieces. Since you had already placed the magnet into the face of it. You couldve placed the fountain panel on then rather marking where the door panel was to be placed like you did in the video. Just attach the doors directly behind it so you know for sure how close you needed to put them and like I said giving the look the mausoleum is much bigger.
John, your builds are absolutely amazing. I look forward to your videos every week, you've inspired me to make my builds more and more modular using your magnet technique. I love to hear that Nicholas! The egg is used as a "skeleton" for the clay... You could use two sections of an egg carton, tape them together and use that for your form. You could glue an XPS foam block together to that size and carve it out of that. You could even form that shape out of a tin foil. Let me know if any of these techniques work for you.

@@TabletopWitchCRAFT No definitely not. It uses similar dice though. It was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the dice roll cause I've played blood bowl for years.
I really enjoy your video's. I am subscribed. I watch other video's by other people but, I always feel RUSHED and exhausted by the end of the video and I hate the screaming, I also don't like it when people put their political leanings on their video's, with your style, I have time to digest what I am seeing and hearing. Keep up the great work and, I will continue watching. OH!...I don't do patreon right now because I live on a fixed income, I hope you understand.
Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for watching :)
Can you do your next video in a jockstrap?
Someone has been in this quarantine for too long

Dude! Terrific content but WHY do you keep the music going past your intro!? Don’t distract your learners
