Here I'm sitting, thinking I know what my next build is gonna be, but now I want a windmill and a telescope 😅 You have the ability to not just teach but inspire, keep it up!
I enjoyed every single frame of the video, mate! Amazing piece, this goes together with the GW observatory in the top list of things to try... Thanks for sharing!
Seeing that Hero Quest in the background kills me, I had the original Hero Quest as a kid, never played it, was in mint condition. When my mom and dad moved house they left it in the attic, I could cry, lol. Congrats on the 6 month milestone, im calling 50k subs at the 1 year mark.
Loving the modular aspect of the whole thing. Not only does this observatory look awesome, but using the base of the windmill gives one less piece to craft.
So one fun trick I learned for lenses from a friend was to take the old GW Spacewolf gray (not sure what the current exact analog is) over a white or gray prime or base coat and then hit that with either a blue or green wash, it's quick easy and gives a very nice luminous quality to lenses.
Tabletop WitchCRAFT I was thinking there must be some way to incorporate this into the castle build, maybe switch out the shrine on the top level?... I haven't made the castle yet (just got the Proxxon recently!), but I'm sure there's a way!
@@BellydancerMaliha Great idea... you know the observatory would look cool placed right on the top of the castle ! I'm going to take a picture of it and post it on my UA-cam Photo Request album on my Facebook page :)
Dang. This build is on the next level. I really like the brass/copper painting that you did on the telescope. I was surprised that the rhinestones turned out so well as rivets. I have to say, that's some impressive stuff. I'm not sure how I've never seen your channel before, but here I am now. So far I have just watched this, your sewer tiles, and your ultimate castle build and I have gotten major inspiration from all of them so far. Fantastic stuff. A question though. I noticed on your paints you say Vallejo paint a lot. It seems to cover really well, especially the bronze. I have tried a few different metallics and most don't do full coverage like that. Granted, most of the time I do want the semi-opaque so the black undercoats give it an older and more rusty look, but sometimes, like on the telescope, a completely opaque look just looks so much better. Are the Vallejo paints worth picking up for this?
Bob Shewmake Thank you Bob, I’m glad you found the channel! I wouldn’t recommend Vallejo paint for large projects, they are mostly for miniature painting. I use them for small sections of the craft builds only. The main paint used for the telescope is Antique Cooper 666E by Folkart. I would recommend that for sure on this build. It’s an excellent paint.
