  • DIY FOAM Observatory for D&D. Convert the windmill we made 6 months ago into this observatory. This video marks my 6 month anniversary here on UA-cam. We are going back to my first build (The Windmill) and converting it into this Observatory. Downloading the plans for this build will make it much easier since we're working with moving parts. If you grab the plans, you need to check the size of your telescope tube and adjust the observatory opening for your first few cuts if it doesn't match up. An easy fix for an Awesome build!

    So one fun trick I learned for lenses from a friend was to take the old GW Spacewolf gray (not sure what the current exact analog is) over a white or gray prime or base coat and then hit that with either a blue or green wash, it's quick easy and gives a very nice luminous quality to lenses.

    I have to say, that's some impressive stuff. I'm not sure how I've never seen your channel before, but here I am now. So far I have just watched this, your sewer tiles, and your ultimate castle build and I have gotten major inspiration from all of them so far. Fantastic stuff. A question though. I noticed on your paints you say Vallejo paint a lot. It seems to cover really well, especially the bronze. I have tried a few different metallics and most don't do full coverage like that. Granted, most of the time I do want the semi-opaque so the black undercoats give it an older and more rusty look, but sometimes, like on the telescope, a completely opaque look just looks so much better. Are the Vallejo paints worth picking up for this?

      Bob Shewmake Thank you Bob, I’m glad you found the channel! I wouldn’t recommend Vallejo paint for large projects, they are mostly for miniature painting. I use them for small sections of the craft builds only. The main paint used for the telescope is Antique Cooper 666E by Folkart. I would recommend that for sure on this build. It’s an excellent paint.

    Love it man, and glad to be the 666 viewer lol. Just a general “talk shop” question for you. How much raw footage do you have recorded for something like this before you go through the editing process?

    • @TabletopWitchCRAFT
      @TabletopWitchCRAFT  4 роки тому +2

      About 60-90 GB... easily over 100 clips.

      @@TabletopWitchCRAFT Good to know I'm not the only one then, am about to release my first episode and was fretting over the amount of editing I was having to do.

    Que material é esse? Algum brasileiro sabe que material é e Se vende no Brasil? Tem uma textura melhor que isopor(sem as bolinhas), mas facilidade de corte tão quanto isopor. Do que se trata? Alguém sabe?
    What material is this? Does anyone know what material it is and if it sells in Brazil? It has a better texture than Styrofoam (without the balls), but easy to cut as much as Styrofoam. What it is? Anybody know?

    That is yet another great video with an idea that I am totally gonna use. But for the love of god, why... WHY did you put an uneven number of cogs in a circular sequence? They couldn't possibly turn that way. Stuff like that stabs me right in my ocd-ridden heart.
