Fun fact. When Vandire first meet Alicia Dominica he gave her a gun and told her to shoot him. She did without hesitation unaware Vandire had a hidden personal shield. It worked and there after the Sisters of Battle where made Vandire's personal Guard. Better armed and trained. There loyalty was unquestioning, even when everyone, the Prime worlds, The mechanics of mars, Even the Custodies of the Emperor were opposed to Vandire. After Dominica sat in the presence of the emperor himself, she found new loyalty. Dominica denounced Vandire and took off head, after making one of the best speeches ever! I'm the guy who commissioned this song and would very much like to thank Stringstorm, Ethan Song and Joliet Shuff for this. This is an amazing song and pretty much everything I hoped for. 10/10 Would commission again.
Jesus Christ man this song is good, thanks for commissioning this. I love this song, which it weird since this is a complete departure from the stuff I usually listen to.
The whole weight of what "grimdark" truly means came crashing down on me towards the end there. Imagine kneeling down to pray the night before a big battle where you're pretty sure you're going to die. Imagine it's Chaos you're fighting, the very antithisis of everything you believe. Imagine the doubt that would go through your mind. The slightest faltering in your conviction would damn you to an eternity of inconceivable horror. Imagine reciting these words and being at peace, knowing that the Emperor of Mankind favors you and is watching over you. I'm having a hard time putting it into words, but just how extreme everything is in this universe really hit me, and it made me happy to think that somehow fragile humans have the will to stand firm against such terrible horrors. It gives me hope, because I can believe we're not too different, and can be strong like the sororitas.
Flibber Nodgets despite fanatical zeal the feats these women regularly demonstrate is an impressive example of mankind’s refusal to submit to what seems inevitable in this universe. Personally some of my favorite characters in the universe are Battle Sisters because the conflict even internally they normally face is staggering yet they never falter
The funny part is that there´s nothing else they could do about it. It´s either cry and shit yourself dying in the face of chaos. Or cocking that bolter and going down in a blaze. Does it matter what follows after this? Will the Emperor uphold his bright godly hands over your soul or is only eternal darkness waiting? Who knows? Or better who cares? Is salvation really something desireable if you know your pure existance held the line? Even if just for a few seconds at best? Every bullet you´d get out would atleast slow the enemy for every nanosecond possible. Every nanosecond your death can gain is a nanosecond humanity keeps standing. I know my answer to that question. May aswell take one last piss in the face of thirsting and laughing gods. Just out of spite. 40k is in a funny way the most optimistic view on humanity in the future. I mean think about it, with EVERYTHING that this cold and uncaring universe threw at Mankind. They´re still standing, still fighting. Still blazing like a supernova against the always inpending darkness.
To be honest, it makes Sororitas duty like a repentance and I reallyblike that interpretation, don't think I ever heard something like this. Good and fresh

@@letendreelliott8778 Nothing satisfies (?) a Sister of Battle more than the burning flesh of a heretic of the one true god emperor. The Emperor Protects!
This song makes me think of one of the things the Emperor didn't seem to understand about religion. It's ability to instill a sense of unity and hope, even in the darkest of times. To feel that, even though there doesn't seem to be any chance that things can get better, somehow, there's still hope. Plus, I really dig how, rather than the usual "Kill em all" feel the other songs have, this feels like an uplifting hymn to every human living in fear in a Galaxy torn in half by the madness of Dark Gods. Living in hope, that the Emperor still and always will, protect.
Honestly the Imperial Truth in itself was a pseudo religion. It looked for the same thing that a religion looks for. An objective truth to life. Though it gave importance to materialistic things such as science and reason unlike the Imperial Creed which is very much spiritual. Both the Creed and Truth deal with humanity in a very religious way. Where the Truth is more resembling the Enlightenment's altruism the Creed deals with Humanity from a Christian angle. Both are much more similar than people think
@B T its less to religion itself, its a thing of ideology. Men wish to attach themselves larger than themselves. A God doesnt have to be present, an idea does
Religions are still imperfect, believe in the Man-Emperor and all will be alright. Fight till your last breath to improve humanity and make the enemies suffer your wrath, as he once did.

@@mivapusa No he's right. I dunno if the pattern is correct but the Adeptus Arbites use Boltguns (both in semi-automatic and full-automatic settings) which are designed for regular humans to wield. The Sisters canonically use a similar pattern, although probably with more stopping power since they have Power Armor to assist them, although its not as heavy-duty as the standard Astartes Bolter, it's roughly as effective against most of the Imperium's enemies.

It either ended in TPKing, PvP, or just everyone leaving the game due to lack of motivation and fun. They defended against a siege by Imperial Fists, Black templars, Soul Drinkers, Fire Hawks (who later became the 'Legion of the Damned') and Ad'mech all AT THE SAME TIME and it was a draw! The Sisterhood only quit after chatting to 'big-E'. 4.) There is only ONE named fallen sister; Miriael Sabathiel, compared to HOW MANY named chaos marines are there? 5.) …you didn't mention the 'Soulcage' and how Stern can 1v1 kill greater daemons and flatten cities with her mind? 6.) No mention of the fact that sisters are so bonkers that they bring a fucking FUNERAL PROCESSION to war!! 7.) another one rides a fucking pulpit into battle! 8.) there's an Order that rips their own skin off so they'll fight HARDER! 9.) Where's the fact that each time Saint Celestine resurrects she has to climb over a mountain of her own bodies! 10.) Saint Mina duelled against a Custodian because it was HER JOB (angry founding Repentia-matriach of the Bloody Rose) 11.) oh, and sisters do all this while being just normal mortal humans. They are the faction of 'F.U!', it's inspiring. Sisters are boss!

I fear no aeldari or drukhari. I fear no thing. But there is something... something which terrifies me. Something so anathem to me that my being recoils in pain; something so blind that it trudges through my kin as if they were but dirt under a tank; something that shines so bright not even the light of the Astronomicon could compare if they were brought whole. The Holy Sisters. Adepta Sororitas. I will say this again - I am a daemon, and I know not what fear is. I have fought them. Once. I ran. Terrified. I was powerless against their blind, unwavering faith. It's the stuff of legend, quite honestly. Since that moment onwards, I do not know what to make out of myself and what I am supposed to be. Born in Darkness, I bore witness to Light... and it is blinding. Yet it feels... accepting. Maybe it's best for me to give myself over to it, maybe it's best for me to stay, here, in the confines of the cold shade... I know not the answer. Who knows what might happen when a being of Darkness walks into a realm of Light? I don't. But I might just try and find out... one day. One day."

This collaboration really knocked it out of the park! Everything feels so perfect! Ethan Song's lyrics are magnificent in their rhythm and gravitas. I really appreciate how certain lines highlight the unique perspectives of the Sororitas, contrasting them with the outlooks of other Imperium-aligned organizations. The vocalist turns those words into pure poetry! I think Joliet Shuff 's performance captures a certain authentic femininity that I've rarely seen in depictions of the Sisters of Battle. She breathes life into an Imperial subfaction that is too often reduced to rote objectification. (I hope that didn't sound misogynistic. It wasn't meant as such) I feel like I'm listening to real individual in-universe, and it's a magical experience. All of this is amplified by your work, Stringstorm. I didn't even notice your efforts during my first listen. I was just swept up and carried away by the song. That's one of the signs of a great composer (I hope that's the appropriate word to use here.) It's like the musical score of great movies or plays. The audience doesn't consciously register the sounds because they so perfectly mirror and accentuate the rest of the piece. This whole thing just has so much synergy. You all did so well!

Why must the xenos be exterminated? To the Imperial guardsman, the xenos threaten his home, and in defense of it he fights. To the Space Marine, the xenos represents a test of strength and courage.

That's why Sororitas are my favorite, even over Black Templars

As much as this is all legit and your descriptions are fucking hilarious, you however forgot some things....
1.) Sisters are as old as 40k -they where in the original Rogue trader! making them one of the oldest factions in the game.
2.) in old canon lore, sisters where used to capture & control wayward or rogue space marines, even whole chapters!
3.) They defended against a siege by Imperial Fists, Black templars, Soul Drinkers, Fire Hawks (who later became the 'Legion of the Damned') and Ad'mech all AT THE SAME TIME and it was a draw!
10.) Saint Mina duelled against a Custodian because it was HER JOB (angry founding Repentia-matriach of the Bloody Rose)
11.) oh, and sisters do all this while being just normal mortal humans.
They are the faction of 'F.U!', it's inspiring. Sisters are boss!
Who needs female spacemarines when you have the Adepta Sororitas kicking ass and taking names. I also belive that the SoB is the closest thing there is to a good guys in the entire warhammer multiverse, they show symptahy and care for the common peasants and soldiers of the Imperium, they are incredibly faithful and they literally have a living saint.
I wouldn't say they are the closest thing. Salamander are probably a notch above them. Sisters are known to be fanatical to a fault and will purge everyone to get just 1 heretic.

"You know, I'm a daemon. There's no going around that. I am the enemy of the Imperium of Man, a heresy manifest in a grotesque form, made to bring ruin. That's what I am. I fear no man. I don't. But I might just try and find out... one day. One day."

We don't need female Astartes.
The sisters of Battle are superior to any female Astartes GW comes up with.

Then you start losing men as they gain their range. The line wavers, and then right before they meet a wall of flame incinerates what remains. The few that survive flee and the rout begins.
Holy sisters, this i pray in the name of the Forgotten, bring His light and holy flame, cleanse the impurity of the iniquity. Ave Imperator
Who needs Femstodes and Femmarines, we got the most badass women ever in the SoB, normal women powered by faith and hate can do what it takes a Augmented abomination to achieve. FFS one of them did a mini Emperor/Shaman ritual and is a bunch of souls in one and is badass beyond belief. So yeah, I’ll be blasting this most holiest of hymns through my headphones while battling enemies of the Emperor with my Sisters army when the new models and codex releases.
It took 20 years but, His Fury is returning.
The voxcast notified me of this on kreig. I came as fast as I can with my shovel.
A truly enigmatic yet influential group of anti-sinners and brave souls. Shame they're besmirched in Dawn of War: Soulstorm, both in story and gameplay.
The lyrics are outstanding, and it gives Joliet a better foundation to accentuate her haunting tones. Fantastic. This is by far and away the best song on this channel.
Sisters of battle are so badass. I just finished my Imperial Guard army and I started to make the Sisters of battle two days ago and I don't regret it at all. Prise be the God Emperor!
"God Emperor"... *Looks at other things called God in Warhammer* Umm, Why compare them, he is a man, not a god.
Thank you so much! And that wasnt misogynistic at all lol
I'm normally Agnostic, but when I hear this song, I have a strong desire to bend my knee for the Emperor, and the Eclessiarch, and fight the demons! LONG LIVE THE EMPEROR!!! LET HUMANITY REIGN FOREVER!!!
The Emperor protects.
Warhammer has a tendency of doing this to people, part of why it’s so fun
Some of the most pious and holy amongst us mere mortals. The sisters of battle. The men and women of Krieg will always await our next battle alongside such holy warriors with silent reverence. (and happy gas mask noises)
Where the Astartes bring awe through might and dread, the Sororitas bring awe through faith and fervor.
I cannot like this song enough.
Why must the xenos be exterminated?
To the Imperial guardsman, the xenos threaten his home, and in defense of it he fights.
To the Space Marine, the xenos represents a test of strength and courage.
But to the true beliver, the xenos must die for the simple reason that it is biologically incapable of accepting the Emperor's light and so must be consumed by it in atonement for this unforgivable sin.
unless they are tech orangutans of course
Dorian Winston I’m pretty sure they’re never going to beat elder hell Even the tau would put them in their place
"biologically incapable of accepting the Emperor's light" Why do you think so?
Because to suffer the Xeno to live is to share in its sin.
Oberstruhmfuhrer Schrodinger The eldar are too few in number. The only reason they still exist is because no faction has put their full attention on exterminating them. Same with their edgier counterparts
you know what I like most about this song? is the opening music, that plays a bit in the back ground, sounds like a child's music box. Fitting as the sisters of battle like the astartes have a fairy tale renown to them

Ah, this is part of the hymns of the Ecclesiarchy, no doubt. The Emperor be by your side, sisters.
" i'm not injured i'm enraged" "guided by faith"- sister argenta from warhammer 40k rogue trader
I feel that this would be sung almost as a kind of mix of recruitment and inspiration. I love it
Millions of guardsmen would sign up just to get a shot to fight alongside them.
I really love this song. Its so epic that i lost how many times I listen to it.
As these monsters defile our homes
We clutch tightly to hallowed tomes
Then descend to turn their worlds to catacombs!

So the goosebumps are normal? Really love this over the space marine singing.

Strangely in season with the bells. Nothing keeps warm during Christmas like the burning crusade of the Sisters.
