Man, you guys could start a damn Netflix series with a lil funding. This was hands down, the best SCP short film I've seen. Also, movement and military terminology was on point as well, for the most part.
Honestly, i dont think the foundation needs a tv show or movie. So far, all SCP content has been in short documents or videos that never give you all the information so as to leave some mystery and horror to them. A tv show or a movie would both have to drag this stuff that was only meant for short stuff like what we've seen so far into a long series or a 2 hour long movie, and have to go into a lot of detail about everything in them so the audience will always fully understand everything that is going on and why it's happening, completely ruining any mystery or horror it might have had.
@@binarywaffle3433 Following random themes, each SCP for one episode with foundation intervening at times. It could work but would require non-recurring setting and characters. Something like X-files or Warehouse 13 (?).

@Rauno-Rainis Pähkel I don't mind an occasional screw up. And SCP are written by various people so there will be a spectrum of how competent they are portrayed. My problem is when highly trained professionals act like idiots for no reason other than to further the plot. This is especially annoying when the people have previously been show to be highly skilled.
The scary thing about these shortfilms are that you never except the things that are happening. No crappy jumpscares, just the fear of the unknown. Lovely!
I like the reference to the sims in the title. Who ever tried to do things on the computer, wanted to control people, kinda like the sims, which was originally called doll house.
This is the first comment I've ever seen online that took notice of that reference. It's also not the only reference, originally there were three, now there's only two. Dr. Conway was originally called Dr. Wright prior to his current name.
I like how the operators aren't just helpless mooks, they're the best of the best faced with situations beyond the veil of reality. It's really incredible how much it adds to the tension when they struggle so much with SCP's when they themselves are well-equipped, well-trained, and thoroughly prepared.
I agree, I love how the MTFs are always so badass but always seem to get wrecked anyways. Poor guys are like the best of the best and the Foundation is like "let's treat them like D-Class. We need more intel on the anomaly!"

These shorts are amazing and seem like high budget films but it would be 1000x better if they showed how expendable the D class is
@@DrakeOola In this one, it made sense, as they didn't even know anything about the anomaly yet. I imagine once they have some containment protocols in place, they'll begin really testing the anomaly by throwing D-Class into it. That's assuming it's not keter or worse.

What would you say happened plot-wise in the short? I liked SCP Overlord, this one just doesn't seem to have any meat on the bones in terms of storyline (acting as well), but maybe I missed something.
I'm not OP, but I think the computer is the anomaly. I think it's moving things inside the house, removing stuff, adding stuff. Or pausing things. Fletcher was messing files in the computer, and I think that's why the subjects were glitching out, and one of them even tried to attack the MTF. The subject attacked the MTF because I think the house was raided. That's why the TV said the attackers were different, and the MO was also different, that means that the dude could be speaking on his phone, pretending it was someone else from the house. Or why the furniture was gone, and why the subject that was on his phone had a really long neck (because it got corrupted) or why it disappeared out of nowhere. I don't really have an abswer for West getting glitched out, but possibly because of Fletcher messing with the computer. The TV saying numbers idk what it was, but I read some comments that the symbols shown were something ASCII related, and it said "I Am Prometheus". If I'm not mistaken, I think it's from Greek Mithology Prometheus is best known for defying the Olympian gods by taking fire from them and giving it to humanity in the form of technology and knowledge. I don't really have an idea why this is related to the PC, it's just what other comment said.
@@tiagoviana263 Yeah i also think the computer is the anomaly, i wonder if that was created or if it just occured. These films are so damn good that there are so many possibilities about what actually happened.

I’ve always maintained that true horror doesn’t come in the form of terrifying figures, jump scares, or terrible things happening to people, but rather the fear or the unknown. Fearing the unknown is one of our most base instincts, our brains are wired to take us far away from that which we cannot, under any circumstances, understand. These films encapsulate that fear so well and make for some epic screenplay.
A theory on the "glitchy" movement of the girl, the titles Dollhouse so the sudden jumps to a new location is a lot like picking up and putting down a figure in a dollhouse. O Niel's disappearance could be that whoever or whatever is controlling the house physically picked up and removed O Niel's figure from the house, this also explains the dissapearing of the furniture, they were simply removed by the "controller" of the house. The non-Euclidean geometry is sort of like how a dollhouse can be split open to give a better view inside and the portal in the bedroom could just be them moving from one split part of the house to another.
I was about to ask why this comment isn’t as liked or replied to then I realized it’s not even two weeks old. What you said makes a lot of sense but that then begs the question who’s in control of the dollhouse?

Honestly this short film was marvellous, I find it scary but also funny at the same time. Best moments were the 2 operators just blatantly freeze and stare at the anomaly after engaging, the last operator remaining with the computer turns around and sees his buddy has disappeared out of thin air, and the expression is his eyes fill with terror as the anomaly moves closer and hits the backspace button. Overall, this short film is a masterpiece.
The thing is though, that all of the SCP universe is licensed under Creative Commons Share-Alike 3.0. This means that any studio that made a film wouldn't get to keep the copyright and would have a hard time getting any money out of, say for instance, merchandise. This diffuculty would drive most studios away, because their main goal is to make money. Additionaly, the one most people know, 173, is the work of an artist who reserves all rights and has generously given the SCP community the right to use their art on the condition that it's used non-commercially. So if you're paying attention, the face of SCP cannot be used to make money. That's why the SCP universe will never get a big budget movie/series from Netflix or hollywood. It's too hard to make money, which is the current goal of the people who could make a high-budget mainstream movie or series. (sorry for any grammar/spelling, on mobile)

As a Marine and friend of some SEALs and even some guys who had to do some spooky special squirrel shit in the Middle East and other countries where they were required to blend in with civilian populaces, the only things I would change for your guys' gear are your boots and your clothes. Those are work boots, not combat boots. Those are meant for you to walk around a construction site rather than, say run around in case shit pops off. The helmet setups are fantastic, the carrier setups are interesting, but personal preference there. I'd say maybe throw some scissors of some kind behind the interior pouches, have a guy have some bolt cutters on the back because, generally, with a small assault pack, you're trying to get into a place and then get out. A relatively quiet entry tool like that is common among the special forces guys. Pick more neutral clothing colors for the shirts. Strap some unused glowsticks to the shoulder sections of the plate carriers. That's huge, having a visual identifier so you can not lose track of your buddies if your NODs get fucked. Other than that, I really, really love the short film. You guys put a ton of heart and soul into this, and it's easy to see in how you guys used relatively good room clearing tactics. Even people like me can tell you guys know a lot of your shit on this. One tip for when you have to get a rifle out of the way when you're moving around an obstacle, however. Instead of lowering it straight down, lift it, and pull it to your shoulder so the stock is over behind your shoulder and the magazine is against your shoulder or above it. Two SEALs I know told me it helps you get the rifle that much back onto your shoulder that much quicker.

I like how their first thought after that lady's disappearance is some hidden door. They kept grounded to the reality even tho they're used to dealing with anomalies.

Fitting it was about video game glitches in reality.
Precisely. The atmosphere in these guys horror films are astounding.

I love the attention to detail too, like how you can hear the surveillance aircraft watching them flying overhead when they get out of the van.
The more fan-made SCP content that is put out there, the bigger chance that we get a legitimate series or film.
This community is blowing up.
if these guys ,or anybody who actually gets what SCPs are about, make the movie it'd be great.
if hollywood does it its gonna suck.
@@QuesoCucuy HEY INTERNET CULTURE MOVIES ARE GREAT !!!!!
Just look at.....
Slenderman 😐🤢🤮
"Fan-made"? No such thing on the wiki. Just can't copyright anything.
Hollyw00dz there already is a series by someone called lord blazoom (I think) he makes an scp animated series
Just finished, that was graet. Plenty of room for thinking and speculation. The tactical aspect of it was wonderful as well. This perfectly captured that SCP feel 👌
*great

He knew that he could die at any moment so when he realized he wasn’t going to make it out, might as well give the information the SCP Foundation to capture this SCP easier. He knew he had to get the information so he was a sacrifice

Hulk Fan “You’re the last one alive. Complete the mission.”
These guys sure do know how to act! I literally just read the credits and voice actors do the dialogs while the fellas on camera work on making it look visually pleasing. Each is complementary to each other loooool
Barely any jump scares
No scenes of some creature chasing them
No obnoxious shaky cam (that I can remember)
Just psychological horror.

The world does not have the power to harm me.
@Roboute Guilliman whats so tough abt that. hes just stating facts. What, you exist on this stupid corporeal plane of space and time? noob. Long ago, my very being was vaporized so hard that my matter, in human terms, kind of... turned sideways? in the flow of space and time. I found myself existing. I hadn't existed before, when i had been a puny bag of chemicals and meat. But i do now. and the world does not have the power to harm me, nor does it have the power to harm sabbir sabbir
Loved It.
@Raposo Bandido They need to be used sparingly. They should be used as part of a shock-moment or something moving past the lense. But overdoing it makes it NOT SCARY but just shock-moments that feels annoying.
From GTA to live action. What an amazing jump in content.
What do you mean live action its just a gta mod

This movie and the overlord one are really great. Yes both ended in a cliffhanger but they were really good.
You guys don't carry "flashLights?"

Jesus I want an official SCP movie from these guys.
Doesn't everybody?
Not made my ER, but an official SCP movie was being made in Russia, but then some retard copyrighted the SCP foundation in Russia so production had to stop. Since the SCP community was previously un copyrighted in Russia, this guy selling SCP shirts decided to claim it for his own, what a dickhead.
Thats what I remember happening, if I remember correctly.
Just sayin @mrklay
Then fund them

Man, imagine if this is what went down in the "Clean House" mission of MW.
Lol they should have a horror mode. It was a very tense mission.

they really managed to bring out the essence of SCP, strange things that no concept of physics can explain. in addition to representing MTFs very well.
This is how horror should be done, without crappy jump scares that you always expect, just the fear of the unknown.
