Crow's mental battle against the Hive Mind mirrored the climax of "Pretty Deadly: The Rat" in a lot of ways, and they both make a point that I really like: Forgiveness is the only way to be free of obsession.
In Crow's case, its his obsession with the death of his wife/child and the man who killed them. Even after torturing the man, (I assume, it seemed from the way he acted in the dream he'd done it before, could be wrong though), Crow still could not let go of the pain of losing his wife and child. It was an outlet for his grief, but it also stoked it. Kept it burning long after it should have burnt down. Its only by choosing to forgive and let go that he is able to free himself from this anchor and resist the temptation presented by the Hive Mind.
However, like in "Pretty Deadly", we also see those who are unable, or more accurately, unwilling to break free of their anchors. Brain could not let go of his obsession, with the idea of a better world, and thus he was consumed.
(Another mostly surface level connection): Reaper of Obsession and Hive Mind both collect peoples minds/information. connections connections connections, I am very happy :))

I'm not sure what amazes me more. The incredible story you told, or the fact that it barely scrapes the surface of everything The Zone has to offer. You created a new and utterly mortifying X-Lab reminiscent of the Miracle Machine but more tangible, more sinister. You managed to balance an overarching narrative with deep personal stories, and even threw in some environmental storytelling for the fun of it. This is the type of awe-inspiring story that will forever enthrall Stalkers by its beauty. Well done.
Also, are the codewords a reference to how Perseus defeated Medusa? By using a polished shield to mirror their gaze back at them? Or am I seeing patterns where they aren't there? If it is, I think it's fitting for what the... not really sure what to call it, Mercury? With the severed heads and tendrils it seems fitting. Almost want to call it a Gorgon.

These guys managed to touch every fiber of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ; from "Roadside picnic" to Tarkovsky, to "our" side of shooter and even some "cheeky breeky" was present.
I started watching with "hmmm..." but soon got pulled in, the atmosphere was just right and engagingly immersive ...
    Bravos !

That's what I was thinking too! They captured the beauty and essence of the zone and yet how dangerous it is and how it can change at will. It was amazing.

Same Same. Tho little bit wish the Monolith commander would have Gauss rifle.....or make it even more fun a RPG.....like in the corridors of the NPP.

I agree. I came here expecting GAMMA tacticool slop with absolute disregard for the source Material, but this was quite good

@@Kminek246 It would have been a brief shootout if the commander had a Gauss rifle tbh 🤣

Don't know why I wasn't notified, but I happened to be searching for STALKER 2 news and saw this title. The moment I realized what it was, my heartrate spiked and I started breathing harder. No media has ever excited me so immediately and unreservedly. I'm about to drink in this long labour of love and savour every second of it.
And then watch it many times over, just like Overlord!

The sound effects of him going into his pack... mwah. Absolutely beautiful, great work.
