Why Apple Releases New iPhones Every Year

- Every year, Apple holds an event revealing the next generation of iPhones. But have you ever wondered why they stick to such a consistent release schedule compared to other products like the iPad or MacBook? Well that’s what I’ll explain in this video.

@Joe technically yeah, but at least with Verizon (not sure about the other companies), you can upgrade every year as long as 50% of the phone is paid off.
I’m all good keeping my iPhone as long as I can. Still rocking the 11pro and now that it is 100% mine after 2 years I’ll keep it as long as possible until all iPhone models have 120 hz and no notch and Touch ID those are features I’ve gotta see before getting another iPhone tbh and each year apple upgrades seem so minor
I read this as he said it
@@dannyrbailey Yeah the 11 Pro is still great as of now, the only meaningful upgrade from that is probably 120Hz. If I had an 11 Pro I'd do the same too, except I'm on a Galaxy S6 and my phone's about to die 😂

“2 year contracts are a thing of the past” Is this just an Americanism because they’re still very common in the UK
Some networks are now offering 36 month contracts in the uk!!
Also common in NZ. It's definitely an americanism
The upgrade programs mentioned are referring to the OEM trade-in and upgrade programs that operate on an Annual basis. These are not mobile carrier provided programs. So instead of using EE to upgrade in the UK, you'd go on Apple's UK website and upgrade online instead. These programs just aren't known to many people in the public because neither mobile OEM such as Apple or (especially) Samsung have enough brick and mortar stores around the world in order to make their names popular enough.
Most of the viewers are American and so is the company so nobody cares shut up
Why would you sign up a two year contract when yearly contracts are only slightly more expensive and you get to upgrade twice as often?

With the number of new phones from Samsung and Xiaomi every year, 4 new phones from Apple really isn’t a lot in comparison.
I’m sorry, but Samsung and Xiaomi sell iPhone
@@justdavid8357 ROFL
@regan kindof a good thing honestly
@@dylanc2806 it depends on the customer base. Xiaomi and Samsung phones have greater flexibility to innovate and introduce new features and gimmicks but their phones are also less reliable and typically aren't supported/don't last as long. For iPhones (which is a very casual audience) this isn't something that would work well for them but it does work well for Samsung and Xiaomi because their customers typically browse and research phones and features more.
@@reganbrannigan3006 yeah true and it depends on the company entirely because those companies are set up for that

I do wish the phone makers would slow this type of situation down
2:09 'samsung and huawei continuously release new *iphones* throughout the year??
I really think them releasing a new phone every year just loose the sense of “exclusivity to it” I really think they should release only when there are significant changes I mean .. what is even the difference literally between all the iPhones from 11 to 13 because I honestly don’t see none. Adding even 14 but not the pro version .. so it’s basically 4 years with super minimal updates. And mainly related to the outlook which really don’t change the functionality of the device.
For the 12 and up they look like iPhone 5s nothing really different which I don’t like
You dont know the Indian smartphone market here we get atleast 1 phone launched every week. And if there is sale the number increases to 1 per day
Make a video on why Apple discontinue their ‘Pro’ models after a release of new iPhones every year.
To not cannibalize sales of the new one.
Hi Apple explained 👋🏻
Can you do a video about
( why Apple can’t close all backgrounds apps at the same time ) 🙏🙏🙏
I don't even have any apple stuff but interesting to watch
From the release of the iphone 13 (pro), i have a feeling that they came back to the old idea, of making a revolution every 2 years, and making just a little improvement between the flagship model.. the newest iphone should be called Iphone 12s...
You said other companies produce many *IPHONES* Every year… did you mean smartphones?

When you say “iPhone” so many times in two minutes, you’re bound to say “iPhone” when talking about Samsung or Hauwei. 😂 Might as well say “cellular phone” to keep yourself from making that mistake.

Hello!
I just updated to ios 15 and upon exploring the
updates on my iphone 11 on photos, they added an
"Info" button that shows the information like
resolution, date, time, camera lens used and file size.
However, I was surprised that the mega pixel shows
only 9 instead of 12 as advertised. When I checked
back the photos taken to the date when it was
newly bought, it show 12 megapixel but 5 months
after, the photos are all in 9 mega pixel up to today.
Why and how come it downgraded from 12mp to
9mp? Is it because of the ios 15 update? and to be
honest, it's not fair. I feel like I'm scammed. Not only
me but the other iphone 11 users as well. Can
somebody explain this?
Just don't buy Apple products.
It's apple speciality
The cameras system can take photos up to 12 mp however that doesn’t necessary meant it will be use the 12 mp.With the new iOS 15 it shows you the exact mp that have been taken
@@stormbeekwilder4632 that happens with fucking every phone
Every phone does that, on the normal mode, the photos are kinda compressed and the resolution is never 12. Like I have a 108mp camera but on the normal mode, all the photos taken from the camera would be closer to 12mp (that's the baseline resolution). For iphones it goes to 9.
Every Apple Explained in 1 comment: Because Money.
Could you maybe make a video explaining why Apple hates third party repairs. I know the simple answer is money, but I bet there’s some in depth stuff towards why they did it. Because apparently if a third party repair service replaces your front screen it kills Face ID, meaning that it won’t work unless it’s repaired by Apple.
Apple doesnt want to be sued by its customers whenever something bad happen to their products because 3rd party repairs replace Apple product components with 3rd party parts
@@patboy24 thank you! This helped!
HAHAHAH, I was thinking the exact same but I think I know the awnser... It's cause THERE IS NO EXPLANATION. SO APPLE EXPLAINED CANT EXPLAIN. He knows that himself to. Apple is the most filthy, scammy, but at the same time genius company. Making loads of money in lots of ways. This is just one of them. At the same time they're calling themselves "Eco-friendly" by not giving anyone a charger and saying it's for the "environment" but at the same time no one can even do a simple repair on their flagship 1200$ Iphone that they (own)... VERY eco-friendly Apple... Also they wanna avoid paying commission to USB by not switching the lightning cable.... Like imagine having a net worth of 2 trillion but they can't even pay the people who build the iphones in China a normal wage... But instead pay for the suicide nets surrounding their building...
@@patboy24 no... Cause even if you swap say the screen on your new 1100$ iphone 13 pro with a official iphone 13 pro display from Apple.. it will still block your face id not letting you use it.... Or get new updates etc. This is not cause of safety or some other lie apple always has. This is just cause of money and control. Little repair stores can get the official parts but repairing will not work. Only if it's a apple certified store Wich if you do want this certification you have to pay BIG commission to apple... And now comes the most insane part... They can literally check your store up to 5 years after your store repaired iphones.
Imagine you did something that required you to drug test. And these same people will ask you to drug test even after you left them for 5 years.... They really don't want people to repair their apple product themselves.
