Are you sure the battery life on the iphone 15 line up? There was no official statement on the keynote about battery life improvements. Still same as last year. Or did I just missed something?
It amazes me that we were able to be comfortable with 8-16GB of storage and 512MB-1GB of RAM. Now, with better quality multimedia and apps, you’d be lucky to have enough storage with 64GB. Luckily, with my 128GB 14 plus, since I’m not a photographer and app junkie, I’m able to keep my storage at just above 50% free. Times have changed… My first smartphone was an LG sunrise. 3.8” TFT display at 480x320, 3G capable, 3MP rear camera, no front camera, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage running Android KitKat. It was an okay phone at the time (2015-16) and did what I needed it to do. Now, on to bigger, and better things. SORRY FOR THE PARAGRAPH 😂😂

they hooked people through their advertising campaigns to make them believe they were buying the best thing in the world. it's not normal human behaviour to camp outside a shop to brag being the first to own a new phone. i stopped using apple because if it. it's just a phone like any other.
As new iphone user, I cant denied that Iphone innovation are slower than ever before. Perhaps because the smartphone industry are already stagnant for too long and everyone expect some breakthrough especially from Apple. Many people think flip are gonna be the trend but lets face it, I doubt that flip iphone gonna happen because one principle of iphone are durability and long lasting while flip phone are the opposite of that value. Just hope Tim Cook really have something on going to make iphone great again.
I tried turning on my iPod touch 4 last week and it only stayed on for a few minutes before dying on the charger, then today the screen started lifting up and it tried turning on one last time with light coming out the side before dying again. I think my first iPhone has finally croaked lol

So it took until the iPhone 15 for a smartphone to have the same amount of RAM as an entry-level computer. Wonder how long it will take before we see an iPhone with 16GB of RAM.
@brandongant618 The iPhone 12 actually has the same amount of RAM as the Nintendo Switch but the Switch is weaker because it has a 1GHz CPU as opposed to the phone’s 3GHz CPU.
Did you confirm the Pros have 8GB this year? That was rumored recently but I still see no confirmations from a real device. GSMArena still shows nothing.
My first ever phone was the iPhone 4, a hand me down. I then got an iPhone 5 as a hand me down. The iPhone 5 stopped working and I got an iPhone 7 for several years. Then I moved on to the iPhone XS for many years before getting my current iPhone, which is the iPhone 16. Now I feel old. Almost all of them were phones previously owned by my parents except for my current one.
I feel I was in a coma for some of these I legit don’t remember the 7, 8 and the XS Or perhaps I just learned to stop putting so much energy into changing phones every two years. Im still on my 12 Pro Max and we are gonna ride together until the wheels fall of off (or until Apple incinerates it internally) We need a new design tho. To think that we went from the affordable $99 5c in 2013 to the thousand dollar flagships 4 years later does disappoint me. What changed in the iPhone 7 that justified more than doubling the price compared to the iPhone 6? At the very least I'm glad the 15 finally uses USB-C cables which vastly outperform lightning's data transfer speed (5Gbps of just the base USB 3.0 compared to 480Mbps), albeit only due to the requirement imposed by the EU. It's too soon to know for sure what USB connector Apple uses but if they have more than 3.0, and have 20Gbps with 3.2 or even 40Gbps with USB4, the lightning cable won't even be visible on a speed graph. Just 3.0 alone has over 10x the speed of lightning and it is absolutely criminal for Apple to have continued to use their proprietary connector for so many years.
What changed is the iPhone 7 was the first year iPhones weren’t offered with a two year contract by carriers. Back in the day, carries subsidized the price of the phone to guarantee your business with them for two years. As phones got more expensive, it became unprofitable for them and they started to market installment plans to make the phones seem more affordable. Paying for the phone outright became very pricey.
sadly, apple is doing usb-c 2.0 for normal and plus models, but their gonna do 3.0 for pro and pro max models, however, apple being apple, you need a OFI approved charger for 3.0, which basically means the charger must have the "only for iphone" sticker, which you probably seen before at like walmarts and stuff
If my acquaintance is right, I remember that Lightning actually can transfer with the same speed as USB 3.0 on iPad Pro Lightning series which ended in 2019. Apple doesn't make it on iPhone I still don't know why maybe because they think we don't need it?
Hello guys. I speak here from Brazil. We have the habit of putting protective films on the screens of our phones. Do you usually do that out there too?
I was an early adopter in terms of generations. I got the first iPhone, but I knew to wait for the initial launch, and those batteries made me glad I waited, but I still entered into the iPhone ecology at the first iPhone, Gen 3. I’ve not had every iteration, my phones tend to last that I go one or two generations before getting the next, but it’s still cool being able to reflect on just rapidly iPhone came from being world shattering, to adhering to Moore’s Law. Sure, other phones may have better features as iPhone develops, but when that first one dropped, Apple suddenly felt light years ahead of the completion.
And a 128GB version in a 1000 dollar phone... And inflating the price of the pro Max, putting the excuse that now is in 256GB base and that your paying "the same as past year" I love you Apple...
The electronics industry reminds me of a group of close friends who seem to hate each other from the outside based on their insults and competitive remarks, but once you get to know them, they're just a playful bunch of guys and gals who enjoy one-upping each other in a friendly way, and ultimately have each other's backs. Microsoft has made software for Macs since the 80s; in fact, PowerPoint was originally Mac-only. Apple gave iTunes to Windows users for free, and also set up BootCamp allowing you to dual-boot your intel mac as a Windows PC. Apple has had Samsung parts in pretty much every iPhone, and the cameras are either Samsung or Sony. No wonder they're impeccable. Samsung could easily create their own OS, but uses Android, made by its own competitor that makes the Pixel. And Google is the default search engine for iPhones. It's not a war; it's a lighthearted rivalry.
I would add that Apple probably has an agreement with Samsung to keep the fingerprint sensor off the power button so Apple doesn’t have two forms of secure biometrics that would probably make the rest of the industry look kind of bad. I’m guessing in return Samsung continues to manufacture screens for Apple instead of having them make their own or turning to someone else.
So far I went with iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 7, iPhone X, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro. Guessing the next one will be the 16 Pro.

Considered my XR the best phone I ever had and replaced it two years ago with an iPhone 13 which I consider the best phone I've ever had. Will probably be saying the same thing about the iPhone 15 after I get it ;)
😎👑
You should hold on to that iPhone 13, it counts as owning a 13, 14, and 15 at the same time. They’ve made the same phone for 3 years now
Someone in my math class pulled out an iPhone 4 and the whole class went to see it and it was a few days ago
It’s only slow because it’s probably running a later iOS. It was snappy when it was first released.
@@CrusherCrashernot quite man
0:50 it says for iPhone 4S "SIM card slot"
A ) Didn't all GSM iPhones have SIM Card slots?
B ) Isn't being the first iPhone with a dual-core processor *far* more important to mention?
I enjoyed it! Minor correction: The iPhone 12 Pro had 2x zoom, while the Pro Max had 2.5x. Thumbs up G!
I’m using the iPhone 6s right now to watch this
that's cute. take care of it
I love how its the same exact style as the old ones but with new content. A sense of nostalgia with new content
The major innovation was the hike price from $199 to $1199.
The $199 wasn’t inclusive of carrier contract fees.
$199 was with a 2 year contract. the 7 was $649 unlocked.
Ha Ha Ha..
lmao real
Yes, just act like carrier contracts didn't exist. The iPhone nowadays, including those and adjusting for inflation, is just about the same price as it was back when the first one released. In fact, some of them are cheaper.
Wow time does fly brings back a lot of memories 👍
7:13 it shows that there is 3 cameras, just wanted to point that out.

Man it’s weird, seeing all these feel like real life bookmarks in time. To this day I kick myself for selling my original iPhone from 2007. 😩 have gone through 5 iterations of it, to just getting the 15 pro max yesterday.
It’s funny how me and my phone have lasted over 16 years; lotta marriages can’t even say that 😂

iPhone 15 just released a few hours ago. Apple Explained is already releasing a new “History of the iPhone”.
Which I find impressive👏🏻👏🏻
It was AN* okay phone. Stay in school, kid. You’re the future
@@austins.2495 wow… Going after someone who made a grammatical error? You must have nothing better to do. Besides, I graduated in 2021, so I did my time in school; now I’m perusing my career. Get a life and worry about yourself.
Great video! So cool to see all these phones over the year. Thanks for the hard work of making it.
It’s like a video encyclopaedia
First all iPhones were about 199 than it goes up to 299 than it hikes up to 399 than like 600,800,900 than a thousand. What the heck is happening to prices these days
(At least from iPhone 11 prices dropped back to 699… BUT IT KEPT GOING UP)
look up "phone carrier contracts" and then youll know why iphones used to be "cheap"
they hooked people through their advertising campaigns to make them believe they were buying the best thing in the world. it's not normal human behaviour to camp outside a shop to brag being the first to own a new phone. i stopped using apple because if it. it's just a phone like any other.
@@modifidious666cool bro
As new iphone user, I cant denied that Iphone innovation are slower than ever before. Perhaps because the smartphone industry are already stagnant for too long and everyone expect some breakthrough especially from Apple. Many people think flip are gonna be the trend but lets face it, I doubt that flip iphone gonna happen because one principle of iphone are durability and long lasting while flip phone are the opposite of that value. Just hope Tim Cook really have something on going to make iphone great again.
I’m guessing a satcom capable phone will come from Apple, I don’t see a foldable
Yeah Apple is not the kind of company that would take huge risks with foldables (which is a good thing imo)
Please make it with the classic Sound you used before :)
I tried turning on my iPod touch 4 last week and it only stayed on for a few minutes before dying on the charger, then today the screen started lifting up and it tried turning on one last time with light coming out the side before dying again. I think my first iPhone has finally croaked lol
That sounds like the battery has gone completely bad. It could be fixable.
This is the only Apple explained video im excited for the second time in a row, Its sad to see Apple explained go from an active channel with live streams to content pump out and he ran out of ideas
I love watching the history of the iPhone every year!

Happy that the 15 base model will come w dynamic island now!
It’s good because now you can spend less money and still get the dynamic island
I'd rather not have any island or notch.
@@JohnSmith-ef8nrtrue but it’s still better than a big ass notch. this is what i appreciate about samsung even though i don’t have a samsung phone
I have a iPhone 15 and it’s in black
I personally can't even stand a holepunch. Anybody know of any good modern non-edge-to-edge display phones with perfectly rectangular screens?
iPhone design peaked early during 4/4S/5/5S and the current iPhones are testament to that.

Nice vid ;) regardless of the minor mistakes thumbs up bro 👍👍👍👍
6:52 supposed to be 3x optical zoom
iPhone 5C was the first iPhone I got, it was so good, even my grandpa has it now and it’s still rockin good
The iPhone 5c display size is incorrect. It is 4, not 3.5
the keynote was pretty good!
Hey btw the iPhone 15 says three rear cameras idk if that was intentional or not bc of the 48MP crop in or whatever
I’m using the iPhone SE 2020
@noreaksakadabothc-hk9td Nice, how are the batteries holding up I need my battery replaced on my phone
Same
My first ever phone was the iPhone 4, a hand me down.
You might need to change the iPhone 12 Pro to just 2x telephoto. Only the iPhone 12 Pro Max has the x2.5 telephoto.
Just watched my life flash before my eyes. Wow! I was 23 when the original was released.
The iPhone 3G and 5C were the most comfortable to hold in the hand, but I can see how that's an issue with wireless charging and thikness.
0:58 My first iPhone... so nostalgic!
5, 10 (X) and 13 mini are my favourites 🏆🏆🏆
Thanks for your videos but iPhone 15 series's Battery mAh are a little wrong.
At long last, the arrival of the 15 models!
In my opinion, iPhone 4 & 5 was timeless design 🎉🎉
I feel I was in a coma for some of these I legit don’t remember the 7, 8 and the XS
Or perhaps I just learned to stop putting so much energy into changing phones every two years.
Im still on my 12 Pro Max and we are gonna ride together until the wheels fall of off (or until Apple incinerates it internally)
We need a new design tho. They use to change it darn near every year now it’s like they keep painting over the 11 🙄
When are we getting a samsung S update
iphone 15 models really have that big of a battery capacity? I'm impressed

What happened to the prices starting with the iphone 7????
Paying for the phone outright became very pricey.
sadly, apple is doing usb-c 2.0 for normal and plus models, but their gonna do 3.0 for pro and pro max models, however, apple being apple, you need a OFI approved charger for 3.0, which basically means the charger must have the "only for iphone" sticker, which you probably seen before at like walmarts and stuff
im so dumb, its mfi not ofi, so made for apple, not only for apple
If my acquaintance is right, I remember that Lightning actually can transfer with the same speed as USB 3.0 on iPad Pro Lightning series which ended in 2019. Apple doesn't make it on iPhone I still don't know why maybe because they think we don't need it?
Hello guys. I speak here from Brazil. We have the habit of putting protective films on the screens of our phones. Do you usually do that out there too?
XS is very great design
Damn just a few hrs after announce iPhone 15 pro lol 😂love it

Samsung Arm processor?
60Hz display in 800 dollars phone in 2023.
Apple you are great.
And usb 2.0 speed on normal 15
And a 128GB version in a 1000 dollar phone...
And inflating the price of the pro Max, putting the excuse that now is in 256GB base and that your paying "the same as past year"
I love you Apple...

6:53 "ProMotion" (120Hz) isn't mentioned?
Always on display requires adaptive refreshrate so I guess 120hz doesn’t need to be said
