I believe even if you have drained your stamina, you can extend your demon mode as long as you do not stop your combo! For example, extend your A combos with X combos then A directional combo again, and you can do the aerial levi slash again. You can also extend your combo with wirebug skills. The only thing you cannot do is dash, so you will have to stop and regen stamina if the monster is already far away.
one of the things i enjoy about dual blades is seeing what you can get away with and how far you can test those limits. if the monster's not moving, i will keep going until i feel i need to move, but you can get quite a good amount of damage in on borrowed time
This is true you stay in demon mode as long as you are attacking, but unless you have mastered shadow vault and wire bug useable it’s also extremely risky
You say you cannot dash, but using the spinning A attack is a great way to reposition during the combo, so long as you don't get hit I use this as a makeshift dash
11:49 Believe me, you DO need it online. I play the horn without it and I constantly get knocked back by teammates whenever the monster is down, especially by LS and ranged users. Sometimes I’m locked down in place so I just end up playing my songs to at least trigger Infernal Melody, even though I’m standing near a very bad spot for damage, but I would lose too much time if I were trying to reposition myself.
the rampage horn build update was pretty interesting to me! my DB set is similar, with a few changes, but my healer horn build has deviated quite a bit from your build! its so satisfying seeing everybody play this game their own way.
My current set is Sinister Helm, Kulu Mail, Sinister Gauntlets, Narga Coil, and Damascus Greaves. Talisman has Evade Extender 1 on it and Level 3 Dragon Resist, slotted in 2 Stun Resist. Other slots are 3 Recovery Up, another Stun resist to cap that off, and a KO Jewel to cap off the Slugger from Kulu. Talisman isn't particularly optimal but it caps off evade extender and having level 3 dragon resist also gives me 10 regular defense. So for skills I have Handicraft 5, Slugger 3, Recovery Up 3, Evade Extender 3, Horn Maestro, Stun Resistance 3, Dragon Resistance 3, Resentment 1, Critical eye 1, Flinch Free 1, Hellfire Cloak 1. Big damage and lasting sharpness, big heals, solid KO damage, can't get stunned, and higher movement / dodge. Really solid set IMO. I've dyed it all a tasteful dark blue and there's a fair bit of natural tan / gold from the armor pieces. Kinda makes me look like a Jojo. With a nice talisman I could see adding Stamina Thief.
Keep up the great work Hunter!. With your health pretty much at 100% most of the time, I tried stitching in PEAK PERFORMANCE x3 in there. Ended up sacrificing 2ABs and 2CBs for a pretty balanced set with an amazing extra +17AP!! My resting AP is around 267... not bad. I think you’ll enjoy it.
I'm from Brazil and with covid my sleep schedule is fucked up, that's the 3rd video you released while Im awake at 3 AM, thx for giving me content while the west is all asleep xD
First MH game that I decided to give HH a try and I do not regret it. Absolutely love it. So satisfying bonking a monster in the face with the power of music!!
So glad you made this, I'm a GS user but had to make the Raging Claws. My layered amour is this bullfango face barbarian & charging in with these felyne claws to rip & tear is just so satisfying to behold.
Thanks for another video! I've been doing some tinkering with this HH set and really enjoying it. I've been experimenting with not having recovery up and using the talisman/slots for other skills and haven't noticed much of a drop off in healing output.
Hey Gaijin! Thanks so much for the video. The Cat Claws is my absolute favorite set. I am having a lot of fun with it especially now that I look like a full lion with the Bazel layered armor. I was able to fully Optimize it based on my lucky charm that has a 2 slot, 2 attack, and 2 protective polish. I am not one for minmaxing, but your video has definitely helped me see the benefit of it. Thanks so much sir and Happy Hunting!
As someone who plays huntinghorn with a Hammer player i can tell you definetly that the self improvement song does NOT include flinch free. the amount of times i got flinched by a big bang combo should have driven me insane.
its nice to see someone just building sets to enjoy the game and not be a meta slave. those sets are 100% not the way to go for max deeps, but dayum those are comfy and fun. Using different offensive skills however, but I can understand why gaijin choose his, looks fun and relaxing to just enjoy the game with his daughter, a lot more forgiving for a lot of stuff.
Personally I like this layerd armor : ( female ) Fox Mask ( DLC ) Rajang Chest Channeler Arms Magna Waist Channeler Legs -Pigment can be anything and it will look good- ( I currently use the blackest of blacks or I will use a dark red ) ___________ You end up with somthing that look like some kind of old robes.

For the people who want atk 7 without having the luck for talisman atk 3 Use my build for a more talisman luck friendly build if you dont mind losing marthon runner. Claws + handicraft Barroth helm + sharp, grinder Barroth mail + critical (this gives free lv3 def and 2 empty lv1 slots) or valk mail + atk, critical (this gives 3 empty lv 1 slots) Rath braces + sharp Anjanath coil + sharp, 2 grinders Golden hakama + 2 empty lv 1 slots Any good tasliman with lv 1 atk, protective polish, crit boost, handicraft or 1 open lv 2 slot is a good option. 5:27 I hope they (Capcom) change the UI here a bit so that it's easier to share decos on a single screenshot - I guess the equipped skills tab can already show it though
I find a good way to build the gauge on HH is to span this two button combo I found. Its either double X then alternate between A X A X A X. Or you can do forward A then repeat X A X A X A. It does tons of tiny hits but is quite useful.
Ive seen a video showing there's a lot of improvement with evade lvl 1, while evade lvl 2 and 3 only improve it by a little, i recommend tryinf both to check and if you think lvl 1 is enough marathon runner lvl2 is also good
And here I was thinking some kind of galaxy brain thing with Master's Touch... but I guess even that doesn't beat Protective Polish. Time to update my cat claw set. Just need the False Felyne head to come back and I can almost not miss Prowler mode.
What is it with Rise and 100% affinity weapons? On a related note, this set would probably work really well with the Ninja Blade for us SnS users. Just take out the Marathon jewel, and maybe trade the pants for something else if you don't find the extra stamina useful.
Will there be a Sunbreak version of the Raging Claws set? Asking since MR armor pieces & sets has different skills depending on the monster it's based on
Glad to see Gaijin using a healing Rampage Horn just like me, while everyone just go with the attack one.😄 I've been trying out the sharpness type last night and considering if I should keep it or not, because I had to sacrifice some attack power. But I might just give Weakness Exploit a try. I didn't put it on not because I spam the performance attack, but because I have a really good Counter Attack decoration, so I've been using that to boost my attack power further. Let's see how it turns out when I swap it out for Weakness Exploit. It's also great to hear that Yuna even opened your eyes to new possibilities in skill buildings! She's becoming a pro just like her daddy!
It's actually Crit Boost that people say is lower priority for HH, not Weakness Exploit--and that's specifically compared to getting more points in Attack Boost. Once you're at Attack 7 you toss Crit Boost in, but if it's a choice between maxing 1 or the other Attack Boost is what adds more damage (both because of the damage math and the fact that Crit Boost does nothing for sound hits). This is especially true if your affinity isn't very high like it is with this set only having the 50% on weakspots.
What about the new Bazel HH ? You can replace the bulfango horn with it now and it has more raw with its attack up song AND health recovery L song in the same song list, also reaches white sharpness with the same amount of handicraft as bulfanco horn. It has -10% affinity but the blast makes up for it somehow
Man, I've made thousands of talismans and I still haven't gotten one with AB 2 or Protective Polish 2 on it. Thanks for the update to this set. It's a lot of fun.
Fun Fact, another good set for the Raging Claws is: Razor Sharp LV3 Master’s Touch LV3 Crit Boost LV3 Attack Boost LV7 Handicraft LV1/LV2 (Depends on if you have terrible luck with percentage chances for master’s touch or you just never want to sharpen, drop to attack boost 6 and slap on sinister braces for handicraft LV2 if wanted or hunter mail and slot in handicraft on either a charm or vaik mail/chrome metal coil/jyura braces) I’ve been using this set for 4 days straight now and its been working pretty well, might end up adding marathon runner to the set at some point.
@@raider1o295 It's not a guarantied sharpness preservation anymore at Level 3. Only 80% chance to negate sharpness loss on a crit. It's still super good, mind you, especially on Narga weapons, but not so much when your goal is to preserve a tiny sliver like for the Raging Claws. Protective Polish with Speed Sharpening ends up being more reliable in that case.
re: dual blades set -- the rng on charms has not been kind to me but I did land on one with paralysis attack up, so I decided to lean into that aspect of the raging claws as well, and for monsters weaker to para it's been really effective! Also while I didn't hit marathon runner I did use evade extender because the longer dashes for dual blades just feel so nice
Mind's Eye was changed. It still prevents bouncing, yes, but that damage buff is dependent on Sharpness+Hitzones. So for the Raging Claws, with white, hitting any HZ of 35 or less will grant that 30% damage. Conversely, A Green Sharpness weapon would get the buff from hitting any HZ of 43 or less.
Wow a video about my two weapons of choice, I made my first run with Dual Blades and start a second run (second save game) with Hunting Horn. Nice Gaijin thx a lot that will help me for futur reference.
Hey. I don't know about you but personaly I would love to have more upgrate for the calamity wearpon with even more option, i don't really mean like other rampage skill but just have 5 posible option (or maybe a thing like if you insert the rarest part of an elder in the wearpon you can have the "souf of teostra" for exemple. Anyway, good vid !!
rampage horn is busted strong, slap attack song 1 on there from the 2nd horn in the upgrade tree and it gives your team +affinity +attack +element songs. almost every hit I do does 120+ damage. It's ridiculous and I love it. Currently I have 3 rampage horn sets, my others being the healing horn and a sonic barrier horn for solo mode. Sonic barrier is nuts and no one ever talks about it! If you spam it you basically have permanent rock steady! Amazing song for very twitchy monsters (though you do have to be careful with your health obviously).
Weirdly enough I only have 289 damage with AB7 and demon petalaces. Do you have any other sources of damage boost because I can't tell where the 6 is coming from.
One thing I've done with my rampage horn for 2.0 is use the same Sharpness III type and put on paralysis instead of non-elemental boost. I feel that with full latent power, critical boost and weakness exploit you get 50-100% affinity and can keep the monster still for longer for other players. It really isn't too rare to see the monster go from paralyzed to stunned to toppled near the start of the hunt, and it's great online as teammates go wild. I think that's not too bad a trade off even if I can't quite fit in exhaust or slugger.
Just saw an cool tip for the Bulfanga horn. If you make a first bone tree horn and equip the rampage skill attack boost 2 then you can upgrade it all the way and still retain that rampage skill! Credit to Team Darkside on YT, thought I'd share.
wow lmao i was literally thinking, man i hope i can build this build with the attack boost charm i got. Then i see yours. Mine is attack boost 3 with a large socket
I wonder if master's touch effects raging claws hellion mode, if so that completely destroys the need for protective polish and speed sharpening with full masters touch and 1 razor sharp. Unless the fact that it takes 2 sharpness at a time negates those effects in some way. I think ill do some experimenting myself on that front.
I don't see many ppl out there use the great or regular whetfish lol. I'm constantly getting the great ones from Rondine so I have a stock of them. I love speed sharpening but if I could fit a different skill I like instead, I could also bring the fish and have both at the cost of carrying another item 🙂
Hi gaijin hunter love the content its great to watch you again after so long but for the build with the bullfango horn if you swap the kulu chest for the hunterr chest you get attack 7 and handicraft 5 which is crazy with this horn i dont have that great of talisman but once i get one double razorsharp it w will life so much easier.
Hey Adam! I'm a huge fan, have been since I first heard you on 8-4 years ago. I was wondering if you could do a For Dummies tutorial on Decorations, Armor Skills, Talismans, etc.? I find all the names and combinations and RNG sort of overwhelming and would love to see you explain it in your amazing GaijinHunter way. :) Thanks for all the helpful tutorials!
Was bummed when I first watched this because of the charm, but I just got an insane roll today that’s gonna work for the support horn and a support bow. Recovery up 2 Evade extender 1 Level 3, Level 2 slot!
Well, I love my set for the DB on post games but this set is really good. Might end up maining it. I'll definitely send people here if they want to play with the DB. Keep up the good work
Hellion blades are fun to a point, but the key to dual blades is balancing demon and arch demon modes. The aerial combo properly executed on large monsters does the most damage in archdemon. If people want the top raw build, yuki just posted a kushala kill with tigrex, popping 491 piercing binds
For the Dual Blades set- A point of Latent Power would be good since it adds stamina reduction at regular intervals, which is sped up by landing more hits. Though, if it doesn't stack with Marathon runner I could see avoiding it.
Hi guys, I am a beginner in the MH games. I would like to watch some tutorials on the different weapons. I found the lance one in gaijin's channel, but didn't find more. Could someone tell me if gaijin has more tutorials on weapons? If not, are there any cool tutorials out there? Thanks for your help :)
What most guides say is not that you shouldn't use WEX or CB on a HH, but rather that you should prioritize getting Attack 7 since it's a massive increase to all damage regardless of the way you use the weapon. If you already have Attack 7 then WEX and CB are the best options to increass your DPS.
I keep forgetting about hunting horm... I should be able to make this set or similar) with my weakness exploit 2/ stamina thief 2 talisman. Thanks for the idea
Have you tried this build with Constitution instead of the Marathon Runner? The mid air spinning blade dance consumes about 3x more than the evade. Constitution might be better than the MR but I haven’t tried it.
Is that sharpness type 3 too good to be true? Going from blue to white sharpness is like a 12% damage increase and that type 3 also reduces the weapons power by 10. So you are pretty much losing an entire 7 attack boost worth of damage by doing that.
For those curious, my layered armor is: Fox Mask (DLC), Droth Mail, Shell-Studded Gloves, Droth Coil, Shelled Sandals. I color coat it to each weapon and save them as layered armor sets.
You have a really good sense of fashion the best mixed layered I’ve made looks like an archer from GOT

I have the same talisman; I'm so happy I can use it now for something.
LOL seeing "Kogath is now online" on the top left out of NOWHERE sent me into a nostalgia trip
man THX that Hunting horn Idea is awsome i hafe a Recovery Up 3 Slugger 2 with Sl9ts charm and thats EXACTLY what i can do with it
Man, I've made thousands of talismans and I still haven't gotten one with AB 2 or Protective Polish 2 on it. Thanks for the update to this set. It's a lot of fun.
what's AB?
Fun Fact, another good set for the Raging Claws is:
Razor Sharp LV3
Master’s Touch LV3
Crit Boost LV3
Attack Boost LV7
Handicraft LV1/LV2 (Depends on if you have terrible luck with percentage chances for master’s touch or you just never want to sharpen, drop to attack boost 6 and slap on sinister braces for handicraft LV2 if wanted or hunter mail and slot in handicraft on either a charm or vaik mail/chrome metal coil/jyura braces)
I’ve been using this set for 4 days straight now and its been working pretty well, might end up adding marathon runner to the set at some point.
Hellion Mode would have been so overpowered if Master's Touch hadn't been nerfed, oh my god. Can't believe I just realized that.
How was it nerfed. I was wondering why he would not use masters touch
Hi! Any thoughts on using Paralysis Attack for this build?
re: dual blades set -- the rng on charms has not been kind to me but I did land on one with paralysis attack up, so I decided to lean into that aspect of the raging claws as well, and for monsters weaker to para it's been really effective! Also while I didn't hit marathon runner I did use evade extender because the longer dashes for dual blades just feel so nice
Dang I may have to learn dual blades and hunting horn...
By the way, any opinions on substituting in para decos for the rampage claws?
Thanks man i love this build =D
rampage horn is busted strong, slap attack song 1 on there from the 2nd horn in the upgrade tree and it gives your team +affinity +attack +element songs. almost every hit I do does 120+ damage.
Hey Gaijin, can you do a guide to rampage weapon ramp ups please? All the weird sharpness tricks make me a bit confused which I should go for.
Weirdly enough I only have 289 damage with AB7 and demon petalaces. Do you have any other sources of damage boost because I can't tell where the 6 is coming from.
I have the (almost) exact build but im wondering why my attack is not the same with you? Is not wearing petalace makes few attack?
One thing I've done with my rampage horn for 2.0 is use the same Sharpness III type and put on paralysis instead of non-elemental boost. I feel that with full latent power, critical boost and weakness exploit you get 50-100% affinity and can keep the monster still for longer for other players. It really isn't too rare to see the monster go from paralyzed to stunned to toppled near the start of the hunt, and it's great online as teammates go wild. I think that's not too bad a trade off even if I can't quite fit in exhaust or slugger.
I use the duals with daora set mixed for crit boost 3 , and master touch 3
Why daora, for the health recovery, I dont have to stop to heal
Just saw an cool tip for the Bulfanga horn. If you make a first bone tree horn and equip the rampage skill attack boost 2 then you can upgrade it all the way and still retain that rampage skill!
Credit to Team Darkside on YT, thought I'd share.
I'm running Peak Performance with that Healing Horn
wow lmao i was literally thinking, man i hope i can build this build with the attack boost charm i got. Then i see yours. Mine is attack boost 3 with a large socket
That's crazy bud
Wouldn't master's touch 3 be better than protective polish + speed sharpening?
I wonder if master's touch effects raging claws hellion mode, if so that completely destroys the need for protective polish and speed sharpening with full masters touch and 1 razor sharp. Unless the fact that it takes 2 sharpness at a time negates those effects in some way. I think ill do some experimenting myself on that front.
My new fav weapon 🔥🔥
Where is the brace jewel? Found at 11:24
I think my fellow hunters are happy when they see that ATK, EL.ATK, and AFF Boost from my Rampage horn... The healer build is fun too though.
I don't see many ppl out there use the great or regular whetfish lol. I'm constantly getting the great ones from Rondine so I have a stock of them. I love speed sharpening but if I could fit a different skill I like instead, I could also bring the fish and have both at the cost of carrying another item 🙂
7:11 Someone went online who is also a veteran MonHunter 😁😁😁
Hi gaijin hunter love the content its great to watch you again after so long but for the build with the bullfango horn if you swap the kulu chest for the hunterr chest you get attack 7 and handicraft 5
which is crazy with this horn i dont have that great of talisman but once i get one double razorsharp it w will life so much easier.
Hey Gaijin, love your set! have you considered using master's touch skill?
does item prolonger still work with protective polish?
Recovery up 2
Evade extender 1
Level 3, Level 2 slot!
I don't know if I just missed it, what rampage skill do you use on the bull horn?
For the Dual Blades set- A point of Latent Power would be good since it adds stamina reduction at regular intervals, which is sped up by landing more hits. Though, if it doesn't stack with Marathon runner I could see avoiding it.
I'm pretty sure he had that didn't he? Or was that on the hunting horn?
Could you make a video on the Hi Ninja sword? It looks very interesting and I think you could make some cool builds with the 100% affinity.
