About Simple Little Life:
This channel has sort of turned (inadvertently) into a knife making channel. But the original idea behind what we wanted it to be is this description below:
Videos on our journey to homesteading. With a recent purchase of a little piece of the Alberta prairie, we're looking to sell our nice suburban home in search of a more meaningful life beyond chasing the "American dream" working for some big company and making someone else rich. It's not about the money, it's about getting the most value from the work I do to improving the life of my family.
Some preparedness, DIY, building quality things with your hands, guns, gear, and outdoor exploration.

You sir are the man, time and time again, explain thing with such clarity. And the end result second to none, even when things don't go right.
You sir are a example to all knife makers amateurs and pros !!! No secrets and most of all, you explain in the easiest way that we viewers can understand … Thanks !!!!
Thank you very much! I appreciate that hugely👍
@@Simplelittlelife hey how would I order a knife btw
This video illustrates the wisdom of having the right tools for the job. Well done. Beautiful result.
You are one of the little amount of humble honest and caring UA-camrs I love your content so much
I have watched so many knife making videos that I decided to try one myself and got stuck about half way through. Seeing this makes me want to start again. I have to say that I appreciate you narrating the video. Much more informative.
Out of all the knife makers and blacksmiths Ive seen by far the best one . I like the way you explain your procedures and at the end what a beauty of a knife, keep those knives comming.
Dude, seriously one of the coolest knives I've ever seen. Thanks so much, keep up the good work. You're the man!
It’s nice the guy was understanding and calm about the mistake, great knife
I think that rock pattern is stunning.
Super nice job on both knives. They sure look nice in the hand and should be great in the kitchen.
I have a soft spot for the color grey and that knife fits the bill. Two out of three of mt favorite knives are grey for the most part. I like neutral colors.
This knife is incredible in both its incarnations. I especially love the handle treatment.
Sweet Knife. Good work as always.
Thank you!
Very sharp looking knife.
That is an amazing looking knife, the guy who ordered it has good taste and you have great craftsmanship.
Your work continues to seriously impress me.... Well done! I would love a knife like this.
Finished result is super!
That is a fantastic looking finish on the blade. Well done.
You sir are a true craftsman.
The force is strong with this Jedi.
Nice knife. I must say my favorite part of knifemaking is shaping the handle. That is so satisfying.
I really need one of these to cut up smoked brisket! Love it! Amazing work!
How much would something like this run me?
Beautiful work. Each knife you make is a work of art.
Thank you so much for making these videos and sharing your knowledge. 😉👍
You’re welcome. I’m glad you enjoy them and thank you for watching! Much appreciated 👍
Well done Jeremy.

Right on, thank you!
Man your knife is too sharp..This knife is the best.. Hope someone can also make like this here in the Philippines..
Beautiful knife
Love your videos, man. As a none tradesperson I find these vids mesmerizing but the your explanations puts yours over the top of all of them. Great knifes keep'em coming.
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls
Wow! Just Wow! great job!
Wow! All the tools, toys, and skills I wish I had. Really impressive. Love the video.
Awesome mate...great to see you still enjoying knife making....and thank you I did learn something!
Very pretty. I like the overall design.
Hey Jeremy, don't leave the hardened blade in the nitrogen for that long, the process of left over austenite converting to martensite happens almost instantly. Leaving it in there for so long increases the risk of cracking due to the high inner tention. 30min-1h and you are good to go ;)
Greetings from germany, love your channel!
Awesome looking blade
I think this will make an awesome knife if you make it a little bit tactical it would be a cool survival knife. Love the shape
Love the look of this knife! One day I will buy one of your knives.
I cried a little inside when you ground that rock pattern in the blade - but awesome knife!
fantastic creatione, but i would chosen wood on the handle. still fantastic even in 2021 :) Well done sir
Probably your best work yet. It looks fantastic! Well done and you've inspired me to get back to it and make a machete I have been wanting to do.
Absolutely gorgeous knife. I especially like what you did with the scale texturing and rock pattern on the blade. I'd like to see a large blade bowie version of that.
beautiful work.
How creative, love the pattern ... great video!
Would make a nice addition to the kitchen.
Grinders are so much nicer than a single file
Wow great knife👍👍
Beautifully and carefully made. Awesome skill. 👏🤝👍👍👍
Absolutely stunning, Nice job
yeah, i'd love that knife. it turned out really nice. i thought you went to deep with rock pattern on the blade top, but it looked great at the end. nice one.
Congratulations beautiful knife. Professional work.
Great video and excellent build. I'm a woodworker but you really make me want to become a knife maker. Love your channel. Thanks for doing what you do!
You did a great job and I really enjoy how you lay out your videos. Thank you!
Awesome knife Jeremy really great job
Nice build. Very motivating to go make one myself
One of the best tutorials I've ever seen well done fabulous work !
Best knife I've seen made in a long while. I really like the seax
profile for a BBQ type slicer. A cimitar works great for butchering and slicing but I'd like one of these. :)
Looks like your customer is a TOPS knives fan. They brought out that rock "mountain" pattern to their mass produced products. I really like the way you did yours, though. Better thought out and looks more comfortable to grip.
I made a knife for a buddy who's still in the Air Force, used the fasteners like you used here. I cut out material where you drilled the weight reduction holes and used the space to conceal a survival kit which included the standard stuff (fish hooks, Ferro rod, etc.) and a hand cuff key and exothermic chemical fire starter, just to found it out. As long as he has his knife, he's good.
It's much better than the traditional hollow handle with a compass pommel. LOL. You should try making one here, good project that people really like.
Jeremy, this is an awesome knife, thanks for sharing, big thumbs up.
The "Interestingness" is what brings me to your channel!!!
I really like the rock pattern on this knife, it looks so awsome!
Props to you Jeremy keep on going I really enjoy your videos!
Thank you!
Outstanding one sweet knife.
best knife video ever!!!!!
Really dig the acid bath. Looks great
Thank you! 👍
That’s inspiring! Wonderful control of materials.
Thats a super awesome knife you made!
Trick yourself into thinking you like grinding bevels. Very good tactic to improve grinds! Haha. Gives me good summer vibes seeing you make these videos again man! Awesome work as always!
Very nice. Great work
I haven’t watched one of your videos in a while, but I really enjoyed watching the process. Also the setups you had for the plate quench and vise for warps, I’ve never seen that before and I look forward to making the same setups when I get my own knife making “station” setup and running.
GREAT KNIFE!!
Thank you for this very definitive video on your process. I would love to have one of these in my kitchen.
You’re welcome and thank you👍
I'm the same way. I love grinding the knives down. I once ground a 1.5× 3ft ×3/16 stock into a steel toothpick. Loved every hour of it😜
excellent work
What material did you use to make iron black?
Thanks
I like the tee shirt at the end. Also, very cool knife!
Excellent knife build 👍🏻
Maaan, that turned out awesome! Great looking knife design, fit and finish!
Nice work!
Beautiful!!!
Love this knife. The Santuko type is my favorite.
Reading the Customers order information Always helps
Great work!!
Awesome knife!
Very nice!👍
Very informative, thank you sir!
Wicked knife, man. Nice work.
This is so satisfying to watch. Man I don’t know if it is just how it comes off in the video or what but it seems like the handles are super thick. But again it may just be the video and also I’m not there to see how it feels in the hand
Awesome, just awesome.
Fantastic! Simply fantastic
That is a nice knife. I could use one like that. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you and you’re welcome! 👍
You are a best man a making knives ! (MASTER)
I always love the knife making videos. That’s what turned me into a loyal subscriber (and customer). Keep up the good work Jeremy!!
Great job man, beautifully done!!!
Thank you random guy from Texas. I’d rather meet a random guy from Texas with a rifle in his pickup truck window than almost anyone else on the planet. I’ve met a fair few in my time 👍
Simple Little Life appreciate that!!! We guys from Texas, women too, do try to be a positive example for everyone else, but we do have a few knuckleheads that feel they need to show their collective asses every once in awhile.
I need one of those knives for my next brisket!
That's a beauty! Nicely done sir!
I love the knife
