  • Ever wonder what it takes to forge a chef’s knife worthy of any professional kitchen FROM SCRATCH?! I sure didn’t, until Max Schroeder of Wardrum Forge invited me to his home-workshop and showed us what is, quite literally, the most METAL craft ever to exist. Max worked and led kitchens for years before moving into tech security, now he forges knives of all varieties for fun. Check it. 🤘🏼 Adam

    You’re seriously the most creative of the UA-cam chefs. I love how you’re creating content and just having fun with it. I’ve even seen a few of the really big guys start following your ideas. Keep doing you man. I love the content your producing.

    This is great. I started watching your cooking videos, then came across my other passion for learning blacksmithing. The knife looks amazing

      15n20 & 1095
      But I did just finish a other one out of straight 52100

    What is the core steel, O1? What is the final hardness after temper?

    • @wardrumforge
      @wardrumforge Рік тому

      15n20 with 1095 core. Didn't get a chance to throw it on a rockwell. Hardness files put it right around 60.

    Why make a new knife and have it look like one from a scrap yard? And what purpose does the hump on the back of the blade serve?

    When I see somebody using epoxy without gloves it sends shivers down my spine. This guy will get epoxy allergy.

      Don't ever watch me work, then. I do angle grinding using bare hands, despite having clamps typically no more than feet away. 😂🤣

    • @Boogie3D
      @Boogie3D Рік тому

      @@noneyabidness9644epoxy is a totally different thing. You can be lucky all your life while grinding, but with epoxy you will get allergy sooner or later (sometimes you get it after a couple of times, sometimes after many years). When you keep on working with it despite the allergy, you can get to a stage when you basically can't hold a part that was glued with it without getting an allergy reaction.
