Laurie Lindeen

The world lost a good one this week. Laurie Lindeen was a force. So positive, so inspiriting, so fearless in cutting her own path. There was always a smile on her face. Her laughter was infectious. And she was a very talented writer, teacher, and musician. She was a fixture in the Minneapolis scene and had recently moved to Martha's Vineyard for what she called her 3rd act.

i remember westerberg singing "i've grown accustomed to her face" (of all things) to her at the fitzgerald theater in 2007. i didn't know you knew her personally. very, very upsetting news!

What a beautiful tribute to our friend Laurie, you did such a perfect job capturing her many levels of creativity and talents and what it was like to know her and to learn from her. We were so lucky that we experienced her in our lives and she will be greatly missed by many.

That’s wild that you knew her. I used to have a Zuzu’s Petals CD back in the day. I posted a link to an article about her on FB, and a friend of mine said he played music with her at some point. I bet I know a few more.
Obviously, her relationship with Westerberg is how I know her best. Related to that, I was told Paul’s mother passed away the day after Laurie. Man, tough time for their kid 😔
