I love the positive attitude you always presented in these videos. I am positive that building didn't go together without at least SOME "adjustments", but instead of complaining about what wasn't perfect, you focused on how well-designed it was and how it fit together. That's a big part of why I think a lot of folks enjoy your content.
Love the time-lapse. Just imagine what we could get done in a day if our lives were time-lapsed!! Wow! That would be incredible! Thanks for the video, Ken.
Love these recaps (timelapses). Watched the originals as they were uploaded, but enjoy these versions you put together. Awesome building kit from Jamaica Cottage. I really like that company. Great video, thanks as always.
Nice to enjoy once again a built with the three of you. Every so often we go down on memory lane, and it feels gratifying to watch what was accomplished. Your new videos are very good, and a testimony that life can go on happily, although somewhat different. A mixture of both types of videos would be nice. That is, if you want to.
18 years old civil engineering student, interested in construction of any kind of structures. thanks for the time lapse!! i love gaining knowledge about every types of projects.
I really enjoyed watching this one again, thank you. I can see you could have one as the garage and with an insulated monolithic slab a 2nd one could be a very sturdy home with some modifications.
Ken: I enjoyed your look back at the construction of the precut Carriage Shed. You, Chad and Dan are (or were) a remarkably smooth team. Speaking as an old, and long retired, TV production person, as far as the re-editing of the original footage with your voiceover dialogue, the balance between your voice and the background music (which adds much to the overall presentation) are fighting each other for dominance. Remember, the music is subordinate to the dialogue. I suggest, in future re-edits of old show, you keep the music substantially lower than your voice over. When there are necessary pauses in your dialogue, you can momentarily fade the music up, and then lower when your dialogue resumes. I believe this will add much to the clarity of your dialogue and the overall presentation. Constructive technical criticism aside, I am a big fan of your transition from fulltime garage construction to delightful home carpentry. Hank
Beautiful building! I know it's still hard work, but far less tedious, just doing assembly. Sounds like a good business model to fill a niche. Thanks for sharing, Ken! 😁
Great idea when it goes smoothly, horrific when the factory is off especially on corners, or more than likely a foundation that is off, now you stuck modifying something not meant for modification or shimming plates that are visible. Love the videos and the attention to detail, the backgrounds you work in are beautiful and peaceful too, best wishes and stay safe.👍
Enjoyed seeing again in one viewing you must miss this in retirement not just the work but the Friendships,ofCompanions
Thanks. We still check in with each other
