Good morning….again! Time to put 2 scoops of Raiti’s Rides in your cereal bowl! Are you happy with what Honda has done with the Civic? Let me know your feelings in the comment section!
What baffles me is that for 2025, the Civic gets a digital gauge display, yet the Pilot for 2025 still has the part analog gauge setup and no Google built-in. I feel like Honda does things assbackwards sometimes. 🤦
@@DarkJediChrisG-1425 It really is bizarre for sure!
@@RaitisRides Makes no more sense them putting the largest infotainment system that they offer in the Accord instead of the Pilot, you know, their LARGEST SUV. 😆
Honda did a great job on the Civic, it’s actually the only car made by Honda I like right now. (This blue one is my favorite) All of the others look like boxes or outdated. I also like the Acura Integra it’s based on as well! Would the 2 scoops of Raiti’s Rides be also called “Twinkie O’s”?
@@DarkJediChrisG-1425That is weird. Digital in the smallest, least fanciest car, but analog in the family SUV which is supposed to be fancy. 🤔 This is why I like Toyota better, because even if it is outdated, they always put new tech in it. They also redesign it as well, and it probably will last longer. The old Honda, which made innovative cars like the Element, is no more…and the only car that actually is beautiful is the Civic.
50 MPG combined and more power than the Si, Honda hit a home run here.
You are so very right
Shows how little power they gave the Si
@@mistamaog I agree.. civic SI should have at leat 270 hp
@@ogi-9346Shows how little you know about the Si... It was always a 205 HP car fool. Why would it suddenly have 270+ 🤦🏽♂️ some of y'all just make me SMH
@@porfiriato84maybe not 275, but between 230-240 would be the sweet spot. Like make it comparable to an s2000 for that price point.
Raiti’s Rides is spoiling us with two early morning reviews. I appreciate your grind, Joe.
You guys deserve it my friend!
Why is the civic so much better looking than the accord?
I know right!
@@RaitisRides I will not accept this Accord slander anymore! 🤣
Way better lol.
Civic is much more attractive.
The Accord looks awkward; like a speed boat. Too long in the front, too short in the back.
Guarantee it looks better if they never dropped the 2.0T
That 50MPG is the game changer.
The exterior looks beautiful too.
That dark blue color is fantastic. I should’ve waited for a 2025!
I am sure you still have a great car.
I like the mpg but I love my fog lights, this doesn’t have them and I bought the sport so it wouldn’t be hybrid
@@RaitisRides such a pity this will cost 50-55K or more here in Ireland, Honda is being priced out of the market here. Have a 2019 civic and love it, would love to upgrade but price is killing us all on all makes.
Reliability, performance, practicality, style, mpg. The only thing left the new Civic need is a good price.
Exactly. And if Honda gets too $greedy..,the new Camry will take their business. Camry pricing is very competitive
Even my '23 CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring routinely gets 40 mpg on average, so no wonder lighter cars (by what? Almost 1 thousand lbs?) can get 50 mpg. The hybrid system is extremely smooth and seamless and peppy. I'm very happy with it.
Oh, and 1 fill-up can last about 600 miles without any cumbersome charging. 😏🙄
EV users will never grasp the futility of buying all electric disposable cars .
The lagoon color is gorgeous and the mpg is insane… I’ve always been a Toyota fan but I’m seriously going to consider this 2025 Civic since Toyota has gotten it wrong with their new prices..great work Honda , don’t let the dealers ruin the brand with pricing….!
Don’t fall for Honda! They scam you and not reliable
Went from owning a Camaro to a Honda civic and will never look back!
What gen camaro 🤔
I was in a similar situation lol. I went from 2020 mustang to 2024 civic sedan…. YEP not looking back at all 💯
smart man
Why not both? 🤷🏻♂️ Seems like what I'm going to do next year!
No usb for back seat. "When my phone dies, I can read a magazine" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
They deleted them my 22 touring has usb they even light up . Not very different from this . But engine and radio option . Which are useless the 1.5 gets very good gas mileage
gen z would panic once their phone dies lol
Calm down just get a longer cord and route it from center console
@@njad3 gen z would panic if there phone died without a usb port in the back seat area 🤣
That does seem like a weird omission.
Oh my, you read my mind. I was looking at this car earlier this morning. There are not many videos out there yet! I have a 22 insight and I love this car. Over 38k miles I have averaged 59mpg. I just gave that car to my youngest son on Sunday, he just graduated from college. He gave back our 2012 Mazda CX9, that all 3 of my kids have driven at one time. The Mazda has been a great car,but you imagine the body damage it has now and no working air conditioner. 😂😂😂. Thank you!
We all drove that family car. My 3 kids drove that family car. I miss having my children at home. But I don't miss family cars.
I love the styling. It's clean, classy, and not overdone. No fake vents or other tacky add-ons. I am usually a BMW guy but I think I might go for one of these. If it came in AWD it would be an easy choice!
since they came out with the 11th gen civic, its the best looking civic. I got a 2022 brand new, waited awhile but was worth it!
Wait until you drive it! I've owned one in the UK for six months and it's brilliant to drive 👍. I know our gallons slightly bigger, but I get around 57 mpg!
The hatch SPORT HYBRID will be my upgrade from a 2016 EX. I'm disappointed the screen isn't bigger, around 12 inches. no rear USB connections, no panoramic sunroof like the European version. Rear Hatch should have a button to close it and should open all the way from the keyfob or by pressing a button on the back. Love the Google built in.
That sounds fantastic!
Why would you need a 12 inch screen?! It's a car not a tablet.
I'd be more upset about the no AWD
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!! That new Civic Sedan looks the Bizzzzz!!!!
They really nailed it for sure!
The biggest advantage this hybrid has over its competitors is how stylish it is.
Looks outdated
Ya doesn’t look bad but the exterior looks kinda cheap.
@@AgentFortyse7enit is compare to 2020, which was look sharp
@@Maggie-z2f IDK the way I remember it the whole internet was on fire over how bad that generation of the Civic looked.
We’ve had the Civic Hybrid (e:HEV) in Europe for quite a while, but here it produces 181hp.
This is true but not here in the states!
I would trade 19 horses for lumbar support and push button shifter
@@dabiri69and air vents!
184 HP is the correct figure. I have the European model and I would like to get 200 HP, but it’s true that the button is better for me, we get panoramic sunroof that is great, lumbar support and the front bumper looks better in my version that in the new version in my opinion.
@@Oslo-ho3ws In America they display horsepower as imperial hp (181), rather than metric hp (184).
I have 2016 civic been waiting for the hybrid civic for sooooo long I’m really glad I waited thanks for the video raiti
A hybrid with more power than si and good fuel economy, everything you could ever want
Maybe you’ll buy a dodge hornet and like it
@@njad3 when it comes to dodge, I'm more into the Rams that's all
Stick is what I want. And a loaded hatch
😳🤯30k for a base Honda Civic is crazy!!
Right You get what you pay for is still true Today, Unfortunately Inflation is still a Huge issue, The Mainstream Media seems to not completely get, Because of the thousands of complaints I see like this about all Vehicle prices, Many of the so called cheaper options are just that cheaper in almost every way.
It's crazy to think that a Honda Civic would cost that much but when you consider what you're getting nowadays for the vehicle it's pretty impressive. It's hardly an entry-level vehicle anymore.
Exactly. They're suppose to be in the same class as the corolla yet the corolla hybrid is still in the mid $20k
@@clo289 You have a Carola, Unless it's a Manual then sure that be cool
I think he was talking about the top trim (the one he is reviewing) . Other car websites estimate the Sport Touring Hybrid hatchback at around 31k. This is an incredible deal.
They've been doing such an amazing job with the civic since 2014 upgrading it every year since and making it better and better meanwhile it looks like honda just gave up on the accord after the 10th gen in 2018.. 😢
I'm sold! Perfect car for urban driving! Very well balanced-- amazing fuel economy, solid performance, technology, and safety. This looks like a 10/10 and possibly car of the year. I'm so glad to see it will be available in a hatchback and in that beautiful blue color. Well done! I just hope the reliability is just as good as the past and the parts are still of high quality. I'm glad to see that the interior screens are not gigantic and do not take up the entire middle console or entire dashboard. The styling looks traditional (like a car rather than a spaceship) which I also like. I can't wait to drive this!
Love it, especially that color. My 21 civic was the best car I’ve had so far and I’m tempted to always have a civic in my possessions.
Wow Raiti this is a prime example of a proper refresh for a Honda Civic. Honda has done this in the past with the 9th and 10th gen getting minor refreshes but this 11th gen impresses me. The enhanced tail lights and front bumpers are sharp on both body styles.
Honda's direction with the Civic hybrid certainly substantiates a lot of the rumors around the Prelude concept.
50 mpg, power on par with the Si/Integra, and looks really clean? Might just have to pick one up for myself when it releases! Just hope the mark ups won’t be too bad. :/
I’m greatly disappointed to see that Honda continues to neglect adding lumbar support on at least the driver seat! The 18 inch wheels and the skinny sidewall tires can leave you on the side of the road with at least a flat or at worst a bent wheel!
They always insist on adding a sunroof that most people hardly use, and eventually leak. I personally like the car but I’m not sure about Honda’s decision making.
Car also needs AWD!
You can't expect that at this price point 😂
The Hybrid civic 2025 looks nice, it has good power and really good mpg. Thats a winner
E.V. sells are slumpy but hybrids are keeping up on resale value & selling like hotcakes. I think TOYOTA has been correct this whole time - hybrids are the real future. the Honda Civic is an Icon - your breaking report is mega awesome, thanks for presenting the great stuff. : )
Agreed 👍 💯
Wuchu mean? Toyota Pruis has had a full electric for a long time now.
Well hybrid were always better. You can charge your car at night or day and if you going on a long trip. You can put gas. To me, it's always being better than just electric only
It also helps that hybrids don’t cost an arm and leg lol
@@srobeck77you can buy the Prius as a plug in hybrid…
absolutely incredible! the Honda hybrid is the worlds answer to everything! if I can snap my fingers and your mileage gets 50% better thats a 50% reduction in emissions world wide. Problem solved.
love your reviews
Thank you for being so supportive
You've got the best review on the new 2025 Civic Hybrid!! Thank you!!!
Well....well.....well.......😏
Love how they incorporated Google built-in, just hate, how you have to subscribe to get navigation. The digital display is a nice upgrade, too.
You nailed it Chris! 😂
Never heard of a google subscription. Is this a new thing on cars now?
Found out on one of the TFL truck videos. Think they were in Andre's Chevy Colorado where they saw it. I just remember them saying something about paying for data subscription with the Google built in services. Maybe it's just a GM thing, but I'm assuming Hondas the same.
@@DarkJediChrisG-1425but not in a Honda
You're the man. Ive been a waiting for this!! Picking one up for sure
This looks better than the 2024
Only heated seats not ventilated?
No lumbar support?
No AC vents in the back?
On the highest model these are crucial especially if you live in Florida the AC in the back with kids it’s a must
And up north it's really not good no heated wheel
Owning Civic 2023 here,
The new 2025 hybrid looks really good
But I don't drive a lot, the 1.5T engine is fine for me
I am waiting for Prelude, probably around 2026-2027
Sharp reveals you brought to us this morning. I really want to see that blue in the sunshine. Thank you both for the video.
I’m quite excited for this one! I think it may be my next vehicle, it sounds like a fantastic option! 😊
It is impressive!
Rumor has it , they're getting rid of the 1.5 Turbo. (180hp version)great choice.
Yes, the turbos are gone as are manual transmissions, except Si & Type R, but now since the hybrid is now only second in power to the Type R, I see Si going away. I have a 2024 Si & love it.
Absolutely love the blue lagoon sedan and those wheels. I hope that color bleeds over to the Si. Unfortunately it seems like the stick shift sport touring hatchback is going to be gone. That color would be a great successor to my dyno blue pearl Si
That is so great to hear!
My favorite is rally red and i believe it's the best color for civic hatchback
The wheel styling is fantastic and gives the Civic the flash it needs.
I totally agree with you!
I prefer more rubber to the wheels rather then more metal.
I prefer 16 inch rims with 55 mm of rubber rather then 18 inch rims with 35 mm of rubber.
But thats just me.
Function over form
Another Home Run. Nice presentation Joe.
Thanks for having my back.
Got the first white one with gray interior on the Eastern seaboard. Love, love, love this car!! No better bang for the buck.
I like the look of the Civic over the Accord
You are not alone in that!
I could say Acura should use this power train on the integra. But if they do, it will out perform the manual transmission integra and make it less special.
Damn Joe Raiti put out two videos in one hour. He killing it rn Fr. Kiss me Joe
I drove a early 1980s Civic as a loaner from a used car lot while they were fixing my car. It was blue like this, but that's the only similarity. The Civic has come a million miles since then. Now, since you're in the Motor City, the real question is, where did you get those 3 Coney Dogs? Lafayette or American Coney Island?
American Coney Island.😉👍🏻
i'm a Honda guy but how do you justify the Civic price when compared to the Camry-sounds like similar pricing??
*with no AWD option as well
Current civic hatch owner, have loved it and will be getting the '25 hybrid. Really looking forward to great acceleration, huge range, and gas mileage.
Disappointments are: no air vent for back seat - I mean come on! - and no blue lagoon pearl for the hatch 😥
Under $30k.
Dealer: $29,999
Plus:-----
$4,200 advantage package for tints, wheel locks and ceramic coating protection
$3,500 dealer delivery destination fee and docs
😅😅
The touring version MSRP will be way more than 30k.
Wish RDX would have a touchscreen and a spare. Really love this civic!
Do you have an idea about MSRP for the new Sedan Sport ICE model? Is there any updates to the interior or any changes from the current ones? Thank you
I’ve enjoyed my 2023 Civic Sport I got last year but glad Honda has brought a hybrid option to their line up here. I’ll keep what I have but good to know for the future!
I’m glad you are keeping what you have and that’s what people should do, if it’s working then it’s working
“Let’s talk about what’s going on here” 💪🏼
Heck yeah Ryan!
The FL5 is one of the best looking Civic gens inside and out, with the Type R being the most gorgeous, of course. This hybrid is so cool if only it were available in manual.
Nice. Only problem is no one buys sedans anymore.
Only youtubers comments says that. Plenty of people buy sedans. Heck, alot of people just not buying new cars with these ridiculous price. So alot of people I know are buying use from 5 years ago.
Not to sure about that!
I bought a civic sedan, I will NEVER buy a SUV, they are more expensive and handle like crap
@@shun2240 more money to fix to
@@shun2240 depends on the SUV. I went from a jetta GLI to a first gen RDX back in 2012 and had no regrets. Been an SUV guy ever since, way more practical than a sedan and handle better in snow.
Everyone before this economic crisis hated hybrid cars, now everyone wants one 😂
Love functional vents!
So do I! great minds think alike!
❤️ Thank you, Joe and Lori! ❤️
Love your cars video 📹 👌 ❤️ 😍 😀
Thanks for taking the time to say that!
Make a plug in hybrid and I will buy a Honda again! I have a 2018 Clarity with 125K miles and still going strong!
Nice wheels!
Yeah they did a great job!
The hatchback hybrid in this blue is soooooo beautiful! 😮
Last time I came this quick I became a dad!
😂😂😂 good one
Love the new front bumper changes. Love the chrome delete around the windows. Hate the wheels! Wish they had the sport wheels from 2024. And I think it’s a bummer they removed the rear passenger usb. Oh and no spare tire is not good on any vehicle without some serious sidewall on the tires. The new crv hybrid did this too. Bummer.
Civic hybrid wow ! 👍
IT’S BAAAAAACCCCCCKKKK!
Great review as usual. I'm in the market for a car for my son living in expensive LA. Only thing I dislike is paying over the Sticker Price?? Keep up the good work!!
Im in love!
That is so awesome to hear!
If i remember well , i saw that quarter panel window design on the Cadillac CT4 .
And it was here , with Raiti's ride.
The 2.0 liter NA four is bullet proof!!
You better believe it!
I currently have a 24 SI and love it but I really like the looks of the new hybrid and the power output, especially that torque number. The wheels are sweet looking too.
This was a great video on so many levels. The content was awesome and it was filmed very well. Let me just say that I hate hatchbacks... but I would buy the civic with the hatch. And that blue lagoon color is gorgeous.
💙💙💙
Your camera skills are the best!
Come on!! No spare tire!! That was a plus in comparison to the EVs, that did not have the space. Just put a small donut and you would not lose mpgs. These hybrids have the room for it.
Civics are nice but I love Camrys
Nothing wrong with that!
The civic doesn’t compete with the Camry. The Corolla is its competitor.
I love how these two models look! Nice job, Joe!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You are the man Jimmy!
Love my 10th gen 2018, LX Hatchback, 1.5 turbo, 6 spd. Paid $19,000 brand new for it, have 99k miles on it now!
Im still surprised why they don't sell the hrv hybrid here that thing would actually sell like crazy considering how crazy practical those are
I’m impressed with this refreshed look, good job Honda. The 11th gen civic is definitely one of my favourite modern day Civics. 🔥👍🏾
Damn those rims look good!! This is a nice update to the civic
Yeah they did a great job with them!
Great review as always. Really wish this Civic had adjustable driver’s lumbar support.
You make a very good point Dale!
This is something that a lot of people looking for as there new buy, hybrid set up with sportier colors will be the biggest selling point
I think you are spot on.
I'd read a "Raiti's Rides" magazine for sure. No other car magazine is going to provide me with Twinkie storage options of today's vehicles. 🙅🏽♂️💪🏽
potentially the best civic design of this century
What a Beautiful Civic. Only Sunk would be that there's No Exhaust Chrome Tips. I know that it's a Hybrid, but you can't call your self a Sport Touring and Not have any Exhaust Tips.
The Civic is really nice and always been something Honda has done right in my view.
I totally agree with you!
I was gonna go with Acura integra but this hybrid hatchback is a game changer. Still don’t see it on Honda website, so I hope it comes up soon.
Now we need at least an annual Raiti’s Rides magazine
That would be so cool!
Hey Joe it was great meeting you. Hope you had a good visit to the motor city.
Same here Bryan! Thanks for your great support! We sure did have a good time.
Good looking functional vehicle~ the color for me is like grey or blue-make up your mind! lol Repair costs for my past 3 Hondas were high but I miss my Del Sol-
Only thing I hate right now is the no rear USB for my family!! Get it in there Honda!
I hope I can fit this front bumper on my 22 civic
The only thing I don't like about the new Civic is that lower bumper. In this new model the bumper has gotten wider, instead of narrower
Long time watcher first time commenter... Love the constant! I'm a field service guy so I drive 40,000 to 65,000 miles a year. I used to run civics from 2005 to 2011( one of them being a hybrid which was horrible in my opinion) since then I've had 5 VW GLI back to back. Looking for a change up...This new hybrid sport touring with 50 mpg may do the trick!
Got a 2023 Honda civic turbo and after watching this… my next car will be the hybrid touring
