Hi there. That’s a really nice looking bike my friend. I know this question is different from person to person, but what sort of range do you get from a full charge?? I’m buying one of these bikes but will also be using it for my commute to work. Kind regards.👍
Thanks for showing how awesome the Ultra motor is. No other motor compares. Curious on your thoughts....Sounds like your Ultra has the metal gear. When I bought my #2 Ultra FS I was so annoyed by the sound of the new metal gear I swapped my motors so my main FS bike had the nylon gear. So much quieter and as long as you stay at 1500w youll never need the noisey metal gear. Nylon only begins to fail with 2000/3000w crazy upgrades. 👍👍👍
These are great motors! I just got the 2022 FREY AM 1000. What a beast! I was out today for my first ride. Was waiting for the snow to stop, had quite the snowfall but today I got her out and I am still smiling lol. If I were to go with a build on say my Specialized, I would go with the CYC X1 Stealth Mid Drive and a 52 volt battery.
@@kaywoodparsons1874 That is so awesome!! FREY is GREAT!! I Bought the Juggernaut Ultra FS - 52V. Just an all around great bike as well. Can't help myself though I upgraded alot. DT swiss Big Ride rims/Hubs as well as Manitou Mastodon fork upgrades were worth every penny. For tires I ride 4.8 F and 4.3 R Surleys. Good luck with your ride.
Would be nice to have a double battery option and 52 volts. I have the old frame and its 1.3kg lighter, 4ah more battery and 400/500 watts more powerful. I think if they want to improve this bike frame they need to allow bigger higher voltage batteries.
you could build a custom battery with more volts and cram it into the frame. im planning on doing just that. same frame and 52+ volts. saw andy kirbys video where he had 72V on this motor but I think that's overkill imo :)
To be honest for trail use it’s not needed. This isn’t something like a commuter bike for road. For trail it’s easily enough to ride multiple days without charging. If that’s the use I think there are better bikes to build that allow larger higher voltage batteries.
Hello thank you for a great vid. I am going to order their new pro bike model , same as yours I am 6.0 Ali sells a 19in frame. but i did find a 21 in frame. what is your height and bike frame size to give me some idea what to order thank you.
I’m experimenting with that now. The main benefit of clip list petals is the power advantage on climbs but with an Ebike you don’t need that. But I think if you’ve always rode with clip list petals you’re probably going to still have a control advantage over flat. Personally I ride flat petals but it is something I’m experimenting with.
I looked at buying a similar frame battery and motor combination from the shop you got yours from on aliexpress, but the £350 shipping charge ,and import duty’s and taxes of over 25% to England put a halt to it. It would have been around £850 taxes and shipping. It’s a shame but by the time you’ve spent money. on wheels, cassette, saddle post, forks etc it gets expensive. Nice bike though.
Well I think it’s a cool looking bike. The range could be better. Probably because this bike weight almost 90lbs! Which is insanely heavy for a trail bike. Also wish it was available on 29” and not just 27.5. Again with the 48T sprocket this bike really isn’t designed well for trail riding but more for top speed running. I think the price is nice for what you get but I think the bike is a little limited in its capabilities.
@@gravitycheckmtb the frame is for 27.5 also It’s what I’ll be using I’m going enduro tho 180mm fork And a 200x57 shock to give me 170mm rear travel My friend has the old frame like this and it works very well
Do you have the stock controller on this m620? How does it handle on technical terrain? I’ve read that with the raw power it’s difficult on technical terrain.
Hi, i am new with e-bikes and have seen how expensives they are. So i have a plan to build my own e-bike. Do you have a list what parts you ordered and where?
I order everything off of aliexpress because it’s usually the cheapest. I have other videos showing all the components on this bike with links to each.
I was wondering if that bike name is the name of the manufacturer or the model. If possible I'd like to get more information regarding that particular manufacturer off of AliExpress. It's very hard to find a g510 with an all internal battery with 27.5 wheels and tires. Most g510 equipped full suspension mountain bikes come with 26- 4.0. Any information would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance
I believe Seroxat is the mfg but I think they operate under several names. I would reach out to “world bike store” on aliexpress he can provide all the info you need. World Bike Store a.aliexpress.com/_mLSlN0x
That is correct and Frey is an honest company and produces great bikes with great components. In four short years they had become one of the industry leaders from China, I'm not promoting but I have spoken to many people through forums that love their product
This bike weights in at 66lbs or 29kg. Which is not bad when you consider the Trek Rail with a carbon frame is 52lbs. This bike has more power and much more range than the Trek rail for not much more weight added. The weight has it's pros and cons. The bike soaks up a lot of it and carries momentum on the downhill. On the uphill you have the motor to make up for the weight.
@Tangoman T $3500 is what I paid to build the bike. I purchased the frame, motor, battery for $2400 shipping was like $125 and took about a month. I purchased all the other components separately from aliexpress and shipped to my door. So yes total cost for everything shipped to my door all in was about $3500
@@gravitycheckmtb I’m waiting for my pre ordered Marin Rift Zone 2 and thinking of conversion using Tong Sheng 500w mid drive with torque sensor. I think Yours looked like a better deal, considering I’ll still add $700 for the kit to the $2200 cost of the Rift Zone.
Nice video and nice bike. 👍🏻 But why did they name it after an antidepressant drug? To lift on the ‘brand’? Seroxat became (in)famous for it’s association with suicidal ideation..🤪
Take-a-way the motor and battery, ya would not be outta breath. Don't understand the feasibility of e-MTB rigs, other than saying, "Hey! I just spent upwards of $10 grand on a bicycle." The world just wanna be lazy & effortles, when doing any activity.
Thanks for letting us check out the ebike today at frick park. Happy riding!
Not a problem. Always interested in other people feedback and having a good time.

I just bought a used Frey ex and its awsome climbing up stuff that I'd never managed before and with ease.
Did you have the stock controller on you Frey m620 motor?

You can get a harder workout on an e bike than a regular bike.... Turn the motor off and now you're basically pulling a small child up with you!
