We are working on a kit. Its been delayed due to the availability of controllers. Should have some more info on the channel soon. In the meantime we are dialing everything in so its as seamless as possible for folks looking to use it.
It runs it sensorless. We have a kit in progress that will run it with halls. It will also run the torque sensing but that is a bit more tricky with interference. The can bus version the halls work but the torque sensor reverts to simple cadence pas as they locked out the torque part with a can bus chip. There have been a few examples of sensorless about tho.
As far as I am aware they are different sizes. The 600 being more compact. You would likely need to significantly modify the frame if it is in fact possible. You might be able to lo are a 3d model of the 620 to compare it?
Exciting. This comes just after receiving a new stock controller (shorted my old one poking around), so if I never figure out how to recalibrate the motor to the controller I'll have a second option! UART protocol, if you can help xd
Its tricky! You are welcome to join our Discord and one of the Ultra experts can give you some pointers. I think the sensors might need to be positioned! The link is in the description!
@@HighVoltageKits Finally solved my last hurdle! I had not realised I needed to flip the Tx/Rx when connecting to the display versus connecting to the motor! It's too cold, dark and wet to test it outside now, but there's hope.
If you're curious, I have a hex file to upload to C961 display which will give it the functionality to run a recalibration. This is at least for 48V.. I don't see why it would work on a 52V model either
YES.YES.YES,I want more ..just a little problem. All that power John goes to the rear wheel, could you possibly make à chain out of titanium as I am on my 5th chain, due to my heavy chassis and a heavy fatbike I want to keep the 8 speed gearing and the 34 tooth Sprocket...what's the thickest chain I could use without screwing up the shimano acura?? I would love to have s single speed but the big steep hill in front of the house has a very steep incline...anyway great 👍 Video, will post a rebuild of a reention battery pack soon on high voltage ⚡, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE GANG AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK..Submarine 👍..
Awesome! I will look forward to that. Q titanium chain is beyond my skills. Is it an actual thing? 6-8spd chain. Let's open that conversation on discord. We need a web page with chain information on. Its such a common question. Cheers
No its not an NDA thing. Its so I am able to chat as the video plays and answer questions people have. The High Voltage team will be around for the first hour or so. I don't usually do this premier thing. But this is pretty big news for us.
What could I expect to pay for a bac2000 vs a bac4000? I feel like the bac2000 might be substantial enough if it's cheaper it could be a good choice...
I'm not posting prices at this stage. You can get in touch with the High Voltage team via discord to get a rough idea. The BAC4000 I think is about 2/3 more expensive.
I’m restoring/modifying a 2012 Zero Xu, and it sounds like the Big Block XXL might be a great option for powering it. Approximately how soon do you expect to start making them available for sale?
They are going into bench testing in a week or so. In the meantime you can join our discord platform and chat to Lighting Rods directly. You can also email Lighting Rods via the form on the website under the links in the description. High Voltage is supplying controllers packages to make it run. The drives themselves are direct from Lightning Rods. I am sure he would be happy to make one available as soon as possible. Hope this helps. Cheers
We never quite got it to the point where it was easy plug and play for 99% of people. Its not written off yet but I don't really have an update either.
Now that is a good question. I don't have a time on the 2000. Unless you want to beta test. Which is an option. If you want to sign up on Discord we can have a conversation.
I'll keep people posted on that. The mounts are polycarbonate right now to want to see how they are and refine. But a wider testing group for sure. Be happy to have you along for the ride.
Yes, we recently made some changes to allow the kit to work on all versions of Ultra including v1.0 (UART w/ classic halls), v1.5 (UART) & v2.0 (CAN-Bus) - Mike (HV Team)
@@haymike is there a way to tell the versions apart? Eg case design or from code stamped on the case? Looking to buy one secondhand so limited to just photographs Many thanks
The Lightning Rods motors are for everything from Tube frame fatbikes to enduro style frames like the Stealth bomber style. The Bafang Ultra is widely used by many companies to make ebikes like Frey and Bike Trix.
Here I am trying to save money and you guys do this... Keep up the good work 👍
You knew it was gonna happen right 😆
Woohoo! Just got my Q76 RHD with the big LR motor. Super excited about this! Plus my Rockstar is in with the Ultra.
Excellent!
I want that aftermarket motor for the Surron can wait keep up the great stuff
Where to get this board at 03:00? Is it plug and play? Will it secure the eggrider from voltage peaks when using dual battery set up? Thank you!
We are not making the boards for the eggrider at present. We could not get a reliable source of components sadly.
any updates on the M620 torque sensor/pedal sensor? Have you gotten it to work with the Canbus motor?
Not as of now. Unless we can crack the protocol or find it from bafang 😆
@@HighVoltageKits would you be able to read or copy the code for the torque sensor from the firmware Bin file V41.1?
Will you be offering the orange zip tie cable protectors by themselves? I'd like to buy about a dozen for different applications on my bike.
Yeah I can list them. I'll make them in black as well. I will sort it out later today.
Hey brother.. was checking out my love.. ebike motors!! Lol this one rocks. I like the cyclone but parts and such a pain. I did see planetary gears??
I heard that about the Cyclone. Lots going on behind the scenes. I've been pretty sick for two weeks. I'll be back on the videos soon!
when are the bbshd controler kits coming in im running a phaserunner on one of my bikes i want to try your system om my fat bike
We hope to get stock soon. Shipping has been a frustrating month. Are you on the list?
@@HighVoltageKits
Yes I just put my self on the waiting list .cheers !!!
Awesome 👌 we are working hard to deliver. You are welcome on Discord in the meantime
Innotrace 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Frey use this I think. I'm not sure it will match the BAC855 tho.
Wow. Some real power here. The XXL may be what I wsa looking for. Where do I access them? Be Well.
There will be more information on that as we get into bench testing. Probably keep an eye on Discord
Any updates on the ultra kits? :)
Wow nice, so where can i buy ASI BAC855 kit for my Bafang Ultra G510 WILL BE USING 920WH 52V BATTERY :)

@@HighVoltageKits how long do you think it will take to have the kits ready?
We are looking at July to receive controllers which is the current hold up
@@HighVoltageKits Yeah things are tight at the moment :( and i don't see it getting any better.😔
No I just looked for fatbike wheels....
Does the BAC855 work properly with the G510/M620? No stuttering issues etc? Does it run sensorless?
It runs it sensorless. We have a kit in progress that will run it with halls. It will also run the torque sensing but that is a bit more tricky with interference. The can bus version the halls work but the torque sensor reverts to simple cadence pas as they locked out the torque part with a can bus chip. There have been a few examples of sensorless about tho.
Will this kit work on a G510 motor that has the CAN interface?
That's the idea.
@@HighVoltageKits Great! Thanks.
@@HighVoltageKits hi. Can you please give an update on the m620 kits? How they coming along

How much watts will this kit produce on 52V battery on the BBSHD?
2800-3000 is usually the peak for a 52 volt battery. 4000 is possible at 72 volts

was it easy to slap a high amp kt controller on the motor and bypass all of the bafang internal functions? did you ever try that?@@HighVoltageKits
@HighVoltageKits how about for the uart people?
Any 96 v controller for XXL LR motor
Check out Power Velocity. Their next generation 1. Only one I know. There is an ebmx one you can maybe use.

This for UART bafang Ultra also?
It will be for the 1.5 and CANBUS variations which I think is the same thing.
