I run the Quantum 300 and what a beast it is and the quantity of skimmate from it is unbelievable. I love how the air bubbles go round and round the cone as they raise up collecting all the nutrients and and waste from the display tank. I can honestly say that I have never had skim mate like it in over 30years of mixed reef keeping.
I have had the nyos 160 and the redsea 300 the nyos was a good skimmer I found the redsea noise more than I was expecting so that went back and I got the nyos .but being a equipment tart and running a maxspect system I decided to get the air aqua duo being one of the first in the uk to recive it and I can hand on heart it's better than the previous ones I have had and the amount of foam it produces is mental also the auto shut off was ideal for the breaking in period reccomend the airaqua duo over all 3
With the deltec model you didn't talk about the device in the silencer, the air intake nozzle prevents the skimmer from over flowing by directing the water. Tut tut
I believe you are short selling the Deltec. Not only it has a unique anti overflow system it is orders of magnitude quieter than the Red Sea, being probably the quieter of the 4.
After watching your video, I still cant decide going for Nyos or the new maxspect. The Aeraquoa duo still very new in the market. Not sure will it performs better than Nyos.

I would like to see a roller mat filter comparison video in the near future... ie.. Clarisea vs Theiling... Also, TMC seem to be releasing their version of everything from controllers to roller mats, Whats your take on these products as they blow most others out of the water on price? The Maxspect has the defective sharp right angle venturis no one would ever design. They clog hard in just a few weeks and hard to clear. That is why they never did that again. Should of spent a dime and retro fitted a fix but never did.
Yes the nyos is a good looking skimmer BUT THATS ALL ,, I have the 220 and its crap , looks so good but it's terrible,, hairline cracks around the cup neck ,, cup stiff and difficult to come off ,, and the quantum writing peels off ,, DONT BUT THIS SKIMMER ,, theres better ones on the market ,, trust me

How was the noise comparison between the nyos and the maxspect? Really aiming towards more maxspect but I hear the nyos is near silent?
@@KOFFIN59 I sold it in the end about 6 months in seemed abut to temperamental with flow change ect went for the deltec 600i it is dead silent

IMHO Aquavitro Division Series Protein Skimmers give the best bang for your buck by far.

Any DC skimmer out preforms both by miles without the loud humming that will drive you crazy!

Peki the new deltecs are not built as well, the quality has gone down.
The only "problem" with Deltec is the look and feel of it, it's definitely the best skimmer they showed
