- We take a look at another starter next today the Y01 Tellus. Looking at its history and notable pilots of the craft before breaking it down by frame and weapons.
Found in Armored Core 4 and for Answer
In Armored Core FA, Cilegio is the NEXT you fight in the AC Test mode. Further hinting of Serene's (Kasumi's) status as Strayed's mentor. She knows that her model is outdated. But it's also assumed that she wanted Strayed to get used to fighting NEXT's like hers. Even though there are newer models in FA, the outdated ones can still pack a punch!
Helpful, as some of the gank fights (including the one she sets up) are with EN based foes, or have them sprinkled in.
This Next is actually insanely strong, I literally just started playing my first armored core game for answer like two days ago, and got to Collard rank 1 one in a hour or two with dual laser rifles
Rifles are silly powered in this gen.
SEXIEST LEGS IN ARMORED CORE HISTORY!
One important thing to note about the Y01 Tellus is that it's arms produce the best energy delivery to arm weapons boosting their potential power beyond their designated specs, which can be even further improved with FCS tuning.
This is probably the best starting mech in 4. You can keep most of it's body parts the entire game. The legs are among the best. It's easy to convert it to a medium weight, high defense hyper speed mech which is my favorite build long-term.
As a Evangelion fan, I love the look of this core too ^_^
I’m loving this videos!
Just a pronunciation tip: ciliegio is said “chee lee eh joe” which is Italian for “cherry tree”, as referenced by the emblem at 1:17
Thank you for the kind words and for the tip. Its another next name to practise along with the Hogire which i shall never live down ha ha.
As much as the Tellus is beautiful, the Aliya has already captured my heart, even since 4!!
It is a good craft. More a GA sunshine E fan myself.
Hello,
I found your channel by complete happenstance in my desperate search for Armored Core Lore videos. Watching the first 3 videos you produced lead me to instantly subscribe, regardless of quality. The time and care put into these videos is truly commendable, and from one Armored Core Fan to another, I sincerely thank you.
With that being said, I can't wait until you cover 2 ACs that I found to be particularly fascinating in Armored Core 4. Those being, the NEXT Hilarios and pilot P. DAM as well as the legendary Prototype NEXT 00-ARETHA, piloted by the one and only Joshua O'Brian.
As a side note, once you've covered all of the ACs, Pilots, and their respective companies featured in the series, do you ever plan to cover the design, function, and purpose of the Arms Forts, Mobile Armors, and Mega Bases featured in the series? For example, Spirit of Motherwill, Answerer, Queenslance, Cabracan, Sol Dios, etc.
Thank you for your kind words and for giving me a chance. To answer your question there will be be a video on arms forts and the other war machines, though due to the number of them and information it maybe one video with them all in.
I chose the tellius as my very first AC. I still have a fondness for it despite now preferring a much more aggressive playstyle. I think the ballistic buff it got in AC4A made it a much stronger overall craft, giving it a niche over its partner Latona
Y01-Tellus, symbol of valiance, yet revenge when painted in black, red and white
I remember picking the Tellus as my first AC in ACFA (the game where I got introduced to the series), I eventually swapped to a heavier build that more suited my combat style and put the Tellus away, but I think many former (at this point due to the series hibernation) Lynx like myself will still swear by it, from my experience it took well to modifications, etc., as well as being overall a very reliable and adaptable frame
the Deneb I swapped out for a Ballistic weapon early on and the Medusa for a missile launcher that fires more missiles at a time, but the combo of one Energy and one Ballistic was what lead me down the path of having a Laser Rifle/Minigun combo for the arms and a Kojima Missile/Sniper for the back mounted weapons.
It is quite the craft to customise i have to agree with you there. And thank you as i do find it interesting to see where people began the series and what they did to make thier next thier own as each one is different and has a story behind it.
Love this AC
If these games were ever remastered they should include these videos in the NEXT descriptions.
My that would be a honour. However i think a remake would be in order due to name protonation errors and other issues.
Well done, another mission completed. You're getting good at this.
Thank you for you kind words.
@@armoredcorelore you're very welcome.
One of your best videos so far
Thank you for kind praise.
Great suit for constant flight
The best AC for blade wars! Dont let these light weight spaz machines think they all that.
Hey this is a rather late comment, but a potential idea for your videos.
At the end of each video, I think you should do a “coming up next” section of the video. This is where you state, or rather hint, at what the next lord video will be. Giving people an idea what’s next is exciting and they can anticipate it more. Just a thought.
Yeah the weight problems of regulation 1.40 is why refuse to use it and why I play with the standard 1.20. The standard tellus with as light as it's load out is, is still overweight. Practically makes all AI ACs overweight. Game is so much more enjoyable playing on 1.20 regulations. More freedom with designs and weapon load outs.
