Narrator: Emphasizes how powerful the AFs are at the end of Chapter 01 Strayed: Has destroyed 3 Stigros, sunk 2 Gigabases, killed at least 6 Landcrabs, blew the Motherwill sky-high, ripped and teared through every piece of the Cabracan, derailed the Great Wall, shot down at least 2 Eclipses, and sent the Answerer crashing back down to Earth. (Also, if you count the Mobile Fortresses from AC4 as AF models, then 2 Fermis, 2 Ursragnas, and at least half a dozen GA Old Type Mobile Forts.)
Technically it's only 1 Strigo. You have 3 opportunities to encounter in a mission, but you can only destroy it once. If you blow it up in the naval port you'll never fight it properly, because there's only one
suppositively Stigro wasn't mass manufactured. he is encountered in 3 separate alternative scenarios. he appears if you have done the navel fleet on the first campeign, once you finish the campeign and replay it, it will unlock the mission to either fight him or fight with him, and thus replaying it the third time will unlock the other. In short, these separate scenarios are based on the following possibilities that strayed never attacked the navel port, thus it triggered stigro to be a boss fight on the next chapter having GA as your client in both missions, if you so choose not to fight him however then he will be an ally destroying the 8th fleet as Interior union as your client this time.
This is right, however i feel the problem with stigro is that because its encounters are like this. That lore wise we're opening up the idea to parallel timelines, which is fair game in my mind since ACFA makes the player unlock paths by replaying.
U could also just snipe it with rockets in the vs stigro mission if u didn't have access too the mudan or weren't confident in blading it. And since it starts pretty far and only starts throwing missiles after its initial attack it makes the rocket strat more practical if slightly more costly since u only need 2 of the handmounted rockets too take it out
Seems like Thermidor is the next video. On top of the Jet Type ORCA AF, have you considered doing a video on the League and/or Collared? Or is their history too scarce? May be worth a two in one video.
Well i will never say never until I've had a look. If i did however the two would mostly be combined into one video since they are connected so tightly.
As always, excellent video pal. In case you might want to tackle MTs in one of your upcoming video, I think it will be very good if you do a video for each generation. In any case, keep up the work, I really enjoy your content!
Thank you for your kind words. i did tackle MTS and Normals generally in this video ua-cam.com/video/hx0gEnYT_rQ/v-deo.html . However i did state also i would cover the mts in other AC universes later on.
Great video, very cool observations about Stigro. Are you going to go into the analogues with the Thermidorian reaction for which Maximilien Thermidor is named after and what the symbolic meaning of that name is? Likewise, it aligns with March du Supplice, as a name too.
Just a suggestion but I think it would be a good idea to do rankings of weapon types or say lightweight core types etc (ACFA- other). Could be useful for new/ returning players with the potential rise of AC6.
Hmm I'll be honest if i thought about doing an idea like this, i would have to bring in some other people to give viewers more then my view point and are a little more skilled then myself at piloting these crafts.
Honestly, this thing is useless if long range anti ship missiles are used against it, especially since it dosing have any CIWS weapons like Phalanx. I think BFF's naval forces can sleep soundly.
Come to think of it, BFF has a few Giga Base AFs, a type we know that's main guns can fire over the horizon, so with the Stigro being a larger, less agile (relatively) target then a NEXT... How did anyone think this was a good idea? I'm starting to think this thing was a passion project of an out of touch exec.
Stigro: a highly advanced hydrofoil armsforts capable of mowing through fleets of warships with ease.
Strayed: "...and I punched it in the face."
True tactical genius that strayed.
Like punching a shark in the nose.
Except the shark doesn't die and then explode in one hit.
There's something interesting about these arm's forts they all have something unique to them which is both awesome and terrifying
I have to agree. Looking into these Arms-Forts you can see you that uniqueness in design and style but also the fear any Lynx would have facing one.
Ooh I'm excited for this one! This was one of my favorite enemies because aquatic enemies like this are so rare in the series

I mean we could say strayed and white glint are just either very luckily or so skilled that could to do what hundreds of other failed.
To be fair, nothing short of a Next or another AF can deal with it.

A machine out of its depth, only right that we send it to the bottom.
Damn, that's an Otzdarva line if I've ever heard it
Here's the mission. Take out enemy arms fort Stigro..
I always had a grudge agains Stigro from how much stress and pain it caused me in Destroy the 8th Fleet.
Ah it is a bugger. Its so fast, mind you i have been lucky and had battleships take it out for me.
Me: Never played Gen 4
Brain: Tired
Thumbnail: _Crab_
Ha ha.
Finally hit 1k subs huh? Congrats! Hopefully your channel gets even bigger when the new Armored Core is officially announced.
Thank you very much. We will have to see on the ac6 matter, as for now I'm very happy and grateful to see people enjoying the videos.
I don't know why, but the angle you used for the thumbnail initially made the Stigro look like a giant mecha crab to me.
That's fair, i can see why.
yeah i just land on him and use pile drive but ive always wondered about it
Yes that is what i did too after doing some of these test runs.

Honestly fights with this guy for me was as simple as "jump on its back. use blade" once i learned that i never wasted any ammo on it.
love the content !
Thank you for your kind words.

It should have dealt damage when it runs into you. I remember thinking it was weird when it hit me
I mostly ended up being pushed underwater and out of bounds. Nothing more then a glorified bumper boat.
As always, excellent video pal.

I can, but it might be done at the end of the video.
@@armoredcorelore Totally fine. Your work is phenomenal, honestly.
Alright, but it looks like some kind of deep sea crab in this thumbnail lol
I see it, but we also have the land crabs arm forts. So maybe they did not want to share.
Nice video!
P.S.: congrats for 1k subs!
Thank you for your kind words and i know it is quite exciting.
Also on the hard versions of these fights stigros laser blade can shoot short range laser waves in front of it while its not turning.
Yes it can.

I might have to look into LRASM after reading this.

Wassup my stigro?
why the stigro looks like a crab in the thumbnail?
Umm because that is the way it is present in the art book.
@@armoredcorelore ohh...cool🙂
Stigro vs. Giga Base, who wins? Also, Stigro vs. Answerer, does that devolve into mostly long range missile barrages?
Gigabase yeets
ngl this thing looks goofy
It is and one easy target for rockets too.
Stigro is one of my favorite arms forts in armored core for answer.
It is pretty cool, i think mine would have to be the the giga base.
And I believe on hard mode it can shoot it's blades at you I don't really know.
