My gamers currently are the previous P-770's in 3-4-5 irons and the P-7MC's in 6-7-8-9 irons with my pitching wedge being the Taylor Made MG-4 46° bent to 44° loft. I acquired this set back in April of 2023 and was a 5 handicapper at the time. Today I am a scratch player with this set. They are an incredible combo set of irons. If I were to get the newer models featured in this video I would go this way: 3 and 4 irons - TM P-UDI driving irons 5, 6, irons P770 7, 8, 9, irons P7-CB PW - current MG-4 at 44°
Returning to golf, it's been 20 year's and thinking of getting some new club's. At 61 im thinking about graphite and the p770's, previous handicap was 10. Thanks for your help in advance.
I have the earlier p770 irons, which perform superbly for me. The only thing I don’t like with the pearl finish, TM, Ping, PXG or Callaway, is that the irons show marks easily. They do not look pristine for long.
I personally don't like the SpeedFoam plug. You can't see it at address of course, but in the bag it spoils the otherwise clean look for me, it makes the club look adjustable, and it says this is not a solid blade.
Was a great review of these clubs, and I was curious to hear what you thought. I'm about 10 months into getting back into golf and have been a Taylormade fan. BUT, I recently picked up a used set of PXG Gen3 irons, and LOVE them. So now I'm thinking if I keep improving, one day I'll either move into a Taylormade similar to this or a newer PXG 0311 type of iron. Time will tell . . . . but thanks once again for a great video!
Really interesting video Andy. I had a look at the P770s 2-3 years ago and liked them but thought a bit chunky - good to see they have reduced the top line. I also thought back then about a combo set with the MCs but don't like the look of the new ones, much preferring the design of the previous model. I agree the new 770 is a nice design. I guess they won't be cheap though!!😉 I am also considering the takomo irons at the moment, primarily the 201s and 301s. I wonder how they compare. They'll obviously be lot cheaper than the taylormades.
New irons are great but I’m constantly amazed how little time people invest in finding the right shaft. I’d argue it’s more important having the right shaft than the right iron head. Obviously both are important. Way too many slow swinging players are using stiff steel. It’s dumb
I have always loved the look of the P770s, and the new release is the best looking version yet. My only problem with previous versions was that in my hands the spin rate was a touch too low for my taste - the 7i spin was close to what I get with my i210 6i. Difficult to judge solely on Andy's data (on basis I have a different swing to him) but I would have expected a fair bit more spin. Peak height is maybe 15 ft higher (at most) than what I would expect given Andy's club head speed, but I do like the descent angle. But again it is difficult for me to judge because I have always been a high ball flight player. When we go to the 5i data I get confused. 186 yard carry, as an average, is seriously long for that club head speed and arguably slightly too big a gap from the 7i (26 yards). I can only get at most 183 yards with my i210 with a swing speed of c. 85 mph with the 5i (that may say more about my swing and striking ability!). I do like the idea of having 5i-7i as P770s and 8i-PW P7CBs
I own a set of 2019 TM M2’s, I would like to find out so the 770’s allow for easier shot shaping? I know the M2’s are very strongly lofted, however after being stuck between 13-15 handicap, I want to improve further, I find the M2’s don’t inspire confidence behind the ball, they much too bulky
Tremendous video and i value your input. Very curious to see how these stack up against PXG 0317T/CB/0311 Gen 7P’s and throw in Titleist T150. They look beautiful. Have to test these back to back. Well done
Great review. What shaft are you using? Is it a stock shaft? Looks like an MMT but not sure what weight & specs. I'm a 10 handicapper. I wonder if they will work for me. I have been playing i525 from 2021-22.
Interesting comparison between your results and Alex Etches'. Of course swing speeds make the difference. Really enjoyed your review and feel your results are much nearer those of an average golfer - what a surprise.
So are these aimed at the mid handicap players 15 downwards ? Being they are high launching I’m expecting they cover a wide handicap range. Just comes down to affordability as they are not cheap ! Then again none of the top manufacturers irons are cheap with some £200 per club ! Must get saving.
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires..
Hello, I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?
Same, I operate a wide- range of Investments with help from My Financial Adviser. My advice is to get a professional who will help you, plan and enhance your management skills. For the record, working with Ann Marie strunk, has been an amazing experience.
I'm favoured, $90K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America,, all thanks to Ms Ann Marie strunk😊
For a decade you haven't addressed your brutally over-the-top swing problem. Take 2 weeks to make yourself a better golfer - come to terms with the idea that your initial takeaway inside is killing your game. 4:33 even on a sidehill like, which would force anyone to swing inside out, you're over the top.

Great Video! Thanks for giving us some great feedback. I think I'm about to go from the P790's to the P770's. Thanks again.
Thanks Andy…really like the looks of the P770s. Is it just me or do they look similar to the Titleist T100s ⛳️😎
It’s you

I quite agree and have long been an advocate of custom fit for that exact reason

Lovely looking clubs. May I ask if you use a regular or stiff shaft for your own iron set?
Good clubs from a solid manufacturer

The P7CB looks like a remake of the Rac models from Taylormade.
And 770 = 790’s 😂
How do these compare to the Titleist T150 irons

Those are some impressive numbers, essentially the ball to club speed. What ball were you using? Not sure if that made a difference too.
Interesting comparison between your results and Alex Etches'. Of course swing speeds make the difference. Really enjoyed your review and feel your results are much nearer those of an average golfer - what a surprise.
Maybe I missed it but what shaft did you have while testing? Thanks.

Thank you Andy. Very informative. 😊😊😊😊
Mate, your pic at the start was missing the 2023 version it had a kinda triangle shape at the toe...
is this similar to the t150?
If I see another video with the header “honest truth” “brutally honest “ review I’m going to go mental!!!!
You are likely to go mental……just a warning in advance
@@TheAverageGolfer maybe I am already, most lame overused phrase going
@@kennymacm3031 maybe you need to chill out and get some perspective 😅
@@TheAverageGolfer just giving my brutally honest opinion 😉
@@kennymacm3031 I like that Kenny 👏👏 more of this please
Taylormade stealth irons
7 iron loft=28 degrees 😮
These are P770 🤷♂️
Wonderfully edited and informative video. A big thumbs up and a subscribe from me! I'm away to watch the back catalogue! Cheers.
How would you compare these to the 2020 model?
I thought the performance was different, seems a better combination across the data, but you would have to try for yourself
great review.....they need to find another way to build it and get rid of those screws on the head...takes away from a great look
I agree. Don’t like this trend of irons having a massive screw shoved in the toe. Looks terrible
They aren’t as nice as the 7MC’s
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires..
Waking up every 14th of each month to $210,000 it's a blessing to I and my family... Big gratitude to Ann Marie strunk🙌🏼

Hello how do you make such monthly?? I'm a born Christian and sometimes I feel so down of myself because of low finance but I still believe in God

Looks like 2021 T100/T100s , lawsuits are coming
Look nothing like each other
Cleveland 588 MBs are better looking,,, !
