Yes, and he will actually get better. Y’all kill me saying a high handicapper can’t play a certain iron. The BIGGEST marketing gimmick in Golf is saying someone need a forgiving iron. Just practice and get better because your game will never improve properly playing those big bulky irons. Look at Charlie Woods, he has been playing blades since the beginning.
Most golfers don't practice, man. For most of those, pick an iron with at least a bit of forgiveness instead of P7TWs. But a combo set definitely expands that. And something like a Callaway triple set even more.
Great review! Never been a taylormade fan played a bunch of their lineup over the years and never could get comfortable. Qi10 driver might be the first im planning on keeping in the bag for the foreseeable future
Another great vid. Super well done on the detail involved in the tech with TaylorMade. Where I was on the fence between my last fitting either going with the TaylorMade MC's and Titleist T100's, I just did a TaylorMade local fitting and had better overall numbers and strikes with the new CB's also with some fair forgiveness and overall close in distance to my 790's. Still have love for the T100's but numbers and feel for me don't lie, I'm going with the TaylorMade CB's
The CB’s look uncannily similar to the Taylormade RAC irons from 20 years ago. I remain unconvinced that there’s a substantial upgrade from one to the other.
I will be looking into this directly in a few months (putting money away now). Currently have the rac os in my bag now. Took tens years off and getting back into things. I am thinking they cant be too far off with 20 years of improvement. They remind me a little more of the rac lt from about the same time. Basically a thinner, smaller version of the rac os. They even had a stock combo set of the rac lt and the rac blades.
You have to be careful you don’t bite on stronger lofted irons like P790. With slow swing speeds you’ll be hitting your shots low and they won’t hold greens. I would rather have a short distance with high launch that holds a green than worm burners with strongly lofted fake irons like the P790 was.
Great review ,could you compare the new P770 to P790 ? I play jpx now and love them. I will start shopping for an upgrade when mizuno releases the new 925 line and now will throw 770, 790, I530 as well as jpx in the mix,..... thanks gents
As a blade player (Mizuno 241) I found the P770 to feel better. Forget "soft", it just felts better - more lively. The CB were muted and I'd go as far as to say "dead" like soft clay. I don't like that.
9 hc here, which club should I be looking at for driving irons with the softer feel and still distance? something that will fit in between my 3w ND 5 IRON WHICH GETS ME 180M+
I would look into the new P770 4 iron. I have heard amazing things about it! Or the P790 4 iron too. Other than that Srixon makes really good Driving irons but they are thicker top line so it just depends what your after. Thanks for watching 🙌
@@canyonaromakes more sense. I live in the bay area California. I hit my t100s around 170. I’ve hit 189 on the trackman but I’m flushing it with 90+ chs. I was like jeez these guys are quick.
I love the way you guys say the “old 770” they just came out last year. Plus you say they “catered” to the p790? They are 2 completely different irons. The p770 is smaller and thinner than the p790. I game the p770 2023 model and I went and played a round yesterday with the new p770 and other then looks there is no difference in them what so ever. They feel almost exactly the same and flight is nearly the same. They are just about the same irons. So not sure why you guys are making it out like the new 770 is so much better or different then the old because coming from someone who games them and played a whole round with the new ones, there isn’t much difference.
You can't take out the misses on the course. That shot on course could be a stroke or two. Do that a few times on course and the 770 becomes the better club for you.

It’s not bad logic

Gaming the Wilson Staff CB's. Can't imagine these being any better. I know you guys just tested the Staffs out so I'd be curious to hear a comparison.

CBS look like the Rac LT I had loved them and will definitely be looking into these. Great video and music choice lol

P790 launch higher because of the cg just with less spin
I play the p790 don’t have any problems holding a green 🤷🏼♂️
5 time!!!!! Cant wait to hit these things. Hoping thsy improved the feel on the 770s
great stuff fellas...more clubs to throw in the mix to try out
what is beeping in the background it's driving me crazy...
Thanks! I wouldn't have known unless you said something... Now I can hear nothing else!
Good stuff…really low descent angles on both of those irons for you guys (under 40°) though.

Yes that review will be coming as well!
How are these compared to PXG 0317T/CB?
Trevor which irons do you think look better between these 2 ?
770 are actually cleaner looking
It's mind blowing that its 2024 and we just figured out linear Cg in an iron set is ideal. Why was the 4iron Cg ever higher than a 7 iron...

pookie 241's are not blades
P770 look dope!

@@embersgolf thanks, My eye is always drawn to Mizuno pro, but I will have a hit of those others as soon as I recover from surgery . cheers
The new UDI is spinny I game to 2021 790 2 i UDI
No way the total distances are correct with mid 80s swing speeds - what settings do you have in the Quad?
Not sure if you saw but we are in Denver. So our altitude is 5,280. Which adds 10-15% in total yardage
You guys hitting 7i? What’s your club head speeds?
They're in Denver. These carry numbers would be more like 160 at sea level.

Yeah we are around mid 80 for club head with a 7

That is for sure true on the lower irons. I think you would see a bigger difference in the long irons
ive got ping i59's. the titleist cb's look nice.
Taylor mades?

Go Trump! He likes these.
How addicted to golf are you guys on a 1-10 scale?

I dunno, bro. Even demoing irons in jeans seems off haha.
You should let a 30 handicapper who slices into homes with a 90° slice practice with those lol
PSA 🚨 It’s not boba-ran 😂 it’s definitely Barbara-Anne. She was a smoke show guys, an absolute dime piece. Cmon guys, be respectful to the BA.
Are you guys twins?
