Would be stupid not to with how much viewership UA-cam golf is getting. Now they can reach even more terrible golfers like myself and convince them that new clubs will fix everything 😭🤣
Its so nice to have content that doesn't shove "look how far it goes!" down your throat. Honest talk about what a real low handicaper is looking for in irons.
TaylorMade really selling into the UA-cam market. It would have been easy to have Morikawa, Fleetwood, Scheffler etc etc giving us this first look. Having Grant do the debut instantly makes it appealing to all the amateurs.
I've played the 770's for over a year now and love them. Very forgiving on my frequent toe misses. Can't wait to hit the new ones and see how they've improved.

Ironic that I saw this today. I started looking for new irons last night and on my short list are the TM P770s. I don't change clubs often...last time was in 2003 when I bought and still play today (1-2 rounds a week) Nike forged pro combo irons. I always have a hard time changing clubs...but after 20+ years of playing Nike, I think it could be time for a change. I need to find a good fitter in my area as this next set is probably my forever set of irons since I am 58, so maybe change again at the age of 79 in 21 years! HAHA Now to get TM to sponsor me would be amazing! :)
Crazy to read as I’m in the exact same position. Bought a full Nike bag back in 2013 when I was 19 with the Vapor pro combo irons and pro woods. Wanting to change this year and have been eyeing up either these or the titleist T100’s/150’s. Think I’m leaning towards Titleist but keen to try both!
I don’t see why they needed to release these after 770s are still quite new… I’m a 10 HC and I’ve bought new iron sets several times… and honestly you get that dopamine during that honeymoon phase then you realise they work 99.99% as well as your previous irons… they are free to market/sell what they like but let’s not pretend it’s going to make anyone better… it’s just going to make you FEEL better for a period of time. Which is totally fine if that’s your expectation
Grant can launch a golf ball with a broom stick, I'll take his worst shank as my purist shot haha, Thanks boys, These golf companies need to stop designing awesome looking clubs, I'm already wheeling and dealing in my head to figure out a combo set, there's no way you can just have one complete set when both sets look this good. Taylormade killing me.
They talk about carry distances and going further but no mention about how much the degree of the clubs change from one model to another. Seen some pw at 48 degrees but also seen some at 43 degrees.
Really leaning towards buying a set of Steath irons because I have a PW already and I love the consistency. I just hesitate because I'm not positive if the irons behave the same as the PW.
That's one of the best swings you'll ever watch. May not end up with the same kind of hardware, but Grant belongs with Ernie and Freddie in tempo town for sure.
@GrantHorvatGolfs , excellent review! Do you think a 10-handicapper can play the new P770? The head looks small with a thin topline but a very clean design.
Awesome video. For me, P770 4-7 and P7CB 8-G combo is the ticket. Take the help from the sole slotted 770 heads (4-7)! It is a real difference maker as Grant shows in this video. Very little yardage loss on mishits.

I'd love to know Grants iron specs. I'm roughly the same size as Grant (6'3, Grant might be 6'4) and low single figure. But Scottie Scheffler is the same height as us and plays his irons about a grip cap or 1/4" longer than off-the-rack standard per the build sheet that was published by TM. "5 iron length: 38 1/8 CUT".

MB first of all is Muscle Back (or blade) style which has a solid flat back of the club where most of the weight is at the middle to bottom and requires the most skill to be effective. They will have a slim top line at address where there isn't as much weight added. CB is Cavity Back which is basically a MB but more weight moved from the middle of the club and placed around the perimeter for added forgiveness and moderate control. This gives the appearance of a cavity when looking at the back and will have a slightly thicker top line at address. MC is Muscle Cavity which can appear flat at the back like a MB but are hollow so the weighting is distributed more evenly from front to back for the most forgiveness. Simply just the designs used for moving the center of gravity based on the player's skill and/or preference. They do have an aesthetic difference too which is why MC appear flat but they are not and can have a cover added to hide the cavity. They will have a thicker top line at address.
