Always back end of the season after the big competitions are over, normally after the clubs Presidents Day

Would like to see the comparison with 2023 version. I tried the 2023 P770 and found that the 7 iron was inconsistent with 10 yards of front to back dispersion.

New ones feel quite a bit softer than the 2023 model…. Distances are similar but looks are night and day! The 2024 looks amazing compared to the 2023 model.

Golf is way too expensive to be changing equipment every year. Typically I have kept my irons for 8 years and bought a new set at seasons end. I'm serious considering the Takomo 101t's.

I thought it may change to Low Handicap Golfer after the excellent work you’ve done with Dave, not yet?

I would like to see these compared to the last model. Didn't the last model come out in Sept 2022? Im pretty sure all p series irons are every 2 years...

You gamed the p770 Chris, why did you take them out your bag.

I’ve steadily worked my handicap from 18 to 10 over the last 6 years. I currently use Callaway Rogue Pros 4-PW. Looking to upgrade and wondering if the new P770s would be a better choice than P790s. I’m a reasonably consistent ball striker but beginning to feel my age (65) and think about wanting extra distance but also don’t want to lose spin on the scoring irons.

You will get more distance out of the p790 as they are 3-4 deg stronger lofted per club. I gamed the p790 for 3 years and just got the p770 2024 a few weeks ago and love them but have sacrificed a small amount of distance but with the ease of workability to me it’s worth the trade off.

For me the important comparison is not between the 2023 and 2024 models but between the P770s and the P790s.
The P790s are fantastic hollow bodied irons and really set the bar in this category.
I’m not sure how a club golfer benefits from the smaller heads and less forgiveness of the P770s and feel it would be a leap of faith ditching my P790s.
    Come on Chris convince me😁

Benifit is working the ball right to left and left to right and better dispersion on shots. They are true lofts rather then players distance irons like the p790 that has very strong lofts. They are also softer and feel more like a true forged iron compared to the p790. I gamed the 2021 p790 for the last 3 seasons and just got my new 2024 p770 in a few weeks ago and have 5 rounds on them already and absolutely love them. I still love my 790’s but just couldn’t work my draw as much with them like I can with the p770… 🙂⛳️👍🏼
