Nate, the biggest problem with this drone is the app. It takes up 30 gigs of space on my 64 gig phone.

Folks I love your drone reviews. A couple months ago I had purchased the SG906 Pro 2 and been extremely happy. Being Disabled and a Vet, living on a ranch in Texas, I sit under the shade of a old oak tree with my Australian Shepherds enjoying views of cattle, deer, and all the extra wild life. As of September 2023, the FAA is going to have every drone with a remote ID beacon but any drone under 250 g does not have to be registered with the FAA but they still say not to fly out of line of sight that should always be the case the FAA says if you have a drone with a camera your mission of your flight should always be flying for recreational purposes only that I understand people have a fear of drones that have cameras on them

I just found your channel this morning 👍I'm wondering if you still think the DE22 is a better drone based off the newly discounted price of the HS720G which is more than $100 less than the DE22?
It's a great drone. Same model as they've had for awhile.
This is a really great drone. I purchased one in maybe Sept/Oct 2022 for $209. The default app from Holystone is the problem (losing signal, crashing, etc...); M RC Pro app works much better in my opinion. The drone is fantastic from the $200 price point though and so much fun. Only issue I have is that the 30 min flight time is more like 20 mins cause once it gets to this point, youre automatically limited on range and height and it starts acting a little wonky.

My friends Holly stone worked great for tree trimming. Very tough
Since I don't rely on an app to fly very much, I thought it was safe for me to purchase this. It flies great and photos are OK, but the app disconnects continually for me so that even with just wanting to check the drone's view occasionally is next to impossible. I use an Android tablet. Don't even own a smart phone. Holy Stone told me that tablets don't connect as well as phones. Thank you for a great review. I'm happy enough with the drone that I'll probably keep it but should have taken your advice on checking out the other drone you mentioned.
Can you veiw it with a vr headset? like can you acess the camera with it or does it have to be like a computer?

Love my 720G and Exo blackhawk Mini pro. I have gotten 1400 feet dist with the 720g.
I get 12,000 feet with the mini3. Its way better. Send it! Its awesome! Kinda scary. I get nervous i don't know why. I get two replacements a year from dji for $60.
Losing signal is my issue with HS720G as well especially when flying near transmission/power line or cell phone towers. I was watching another drone user that advises to position the controller antenna "Upward" the flat face is facing the drone instead of pointing to the drone. I did not noticed any cell towers, transmission/power lines while your flying and still lost signal. Is it HS720G radio signal issue? 🤔

Nice solid drone but the range issue is a no no at this price range. Great to see you flying drones again. More drones please. The C'Fly Faith Mini comes to mind.

Cool review. I just bought this in Australia. Should be here tomorrow. I just want to take some scenic shots for B roll, besides our Insta360 X3 and DJI Osmo Action 3 for travel footage.
Loving DJI, but yeah being the first foray into drone world. This was a good happy medium.

I just got off the phone with the FAA. According to them Holy stone is trying to get its fleet into compliance but they formatted some paperwork wrong or something. Holy Stone's explanation is unsettling though. Just know theres a chance this drone wont meet the remote ID requirements in time.

Please please please can you cover some drones that would be great for flying along with planes for filming. This holy stone seems great but can it keep up with a faster moving plane?
Also if its beginner friendly or not, I have friends that are interested in trying but also nervous to do so.
You cannot fly close to actual planes... you will end up in big trouble.

Getting the DJI 3 , because I want the stand alone controller. Cannot, get a separate phone for a drone only. Love my bride, family !
I preferred to do my maidens exclusively over land, so if I had a catastrophic failure, I wouldn't have to watch helplessly as the drone went, "Splash! Blub blub blub". 😲

Yet to watch the vid. I know you guys had an inspire or something and don't often speak fondly of dji. If you had started with their mini series that may be different. In the 3-400 range having flown the mini 1 and owed the mini 2. There is no other option than a mini/mini se, mini 2/mini 3. Would love to try or own the mini 3
I love my mini 3. I send it 12,000+ feet often. Made really good videos if my town. Its crazy how good a dji mini is. All of them.

Dji is 10x better than anything else out there. Thats why they cost more. They know whats up.

The price of Dji is justified, looking it the footage my 3 axis gimbal on my mavic mini makes and then looking at this I’d have the upper hand when filming cinematic footage because you really have to try making slow and smooth yaw axis turns because you don’t have the 3th axis so your footage on that drone looks more snappy and that takes away a lot of the cinematic quality
The question then is who needs the best cinematic quality? Not most people, so that makes it extremely hard to justify the cost when compared to one like this.🤷
Yeah, it's the video that made me buy a dji.
I want to take good photo and video and that look like shit with that model.
It's probably a fun drive but it's not at the level of the dli range.
These drones are well known to have connectivity issues and many have been lost but holystone refuses to admit it

That is the only reason I probably wouldn't get this drone.
Looks like it would be a great fun drone and it flies well but the video is just not quite up there.

I guess it is a good option for a cheap entry level 4K with a few good features.
Im not sure I heard what the weight is…If over 250g you should alert your viewers of what laws apply…The FAA doesn’t care about the cost.
And this drone is not RID compliant. Holy Stone won't give a clear answer on if when or how it will be compliant by September 16th. It's illegal to fly any drone over 250 grams without RID in 2 months
According to the FAA rep I just talked to Holy Stone is trying to get its fleet RID compliant. They formatted paperwork wrong.

How would someone whos flown a drone for years even know they would now need to register it and how would the FFA even know? Impossible to enforce.
If you are the target of legal trouble (asshole neighbors, ect) it would come handy in court. Worth the 5 bucks for 3 years
This drone is not good i made a playlist i have it myself and if i dont post more videos about it is because the other times i crashed or got disconnected it went toilet bowling or go suddenly left at full speed and the only way to get it back is to press return home , it cost as much as a dji mini the only reason i bought it it was an auction and i got for cheap brand new

Unless you're doing professional photography or something I see no need for a DJI. I currently have an SG906 Beast Pro that I was happy with, well until they came out with the Beast 2 and Beast Max. Now I can't find batteries for it so it's now worthless so I think this will be my next drone...

No payment, sadly. Just very experienced with drones! $300 and you get a lot of drone for the money. We never said it was the highest quality or best drone out there. Just relatively speaking, it’s a good bang for your buck.
