This is a really good video. I see many vids telling “beginners” to pay $850 for DJI mini2 pro, but that’s such a waste for someone who has never flown, doesn’t know if they’ll enjoy it & isn’t a creator can deduct the cost as business expense. It’s best to learn on a cheap drone & see if u like it. Also I really like the FPV experience a lot more versus my partner who’s in media & has a big licensed drone for video production.
It might be worth mentioning that even though most sold on Amazon cost more but if there's an issue for any reason their return policy is second to none and you only have to wait a couple days instead of weeks or months compared to Banggood. Some are ridiculously higher but some are in the same ballpark cost wise. Not to mention the packaging where Amazon usually ships in a box and is well protected, while Banggood ships in a bag quite a bit and coming from overseas gets tossed around and whatnot leading to broken or bent parts which is never good for a drone. Even if Banggood ships in a box, it still gets tossed around a lot.
My first drone was a Tello and I will say it lacks in video quality and range BUT I hooked up a WiFi extender to boost the signal between the drone and my phone. After setup, just plugged it into a power bank and slipped it in my back pocket and instantly got crystal clear video, photos and range was extremely improved. It's a good upgrade for anyone that goes with that drone. Now i fly a DJI Air 2S and don't have those problems 😂
It's not that the Tello is bad. But I don't see the Tello as a typical drone you recommend to someone looking for a beginner drone to fly around. Unless you also buy the Bluetooth controller. For that money you can buy a GPS drone with 2-axis gimbal, SD-card slot, couple hundred meter range.

By the way, some of your "under $200" drones are twice that much on both Amazon and Walmart. Have prices doubled in the last year?
Awesome coverage of these budget drones. You mentioned a couple of radios that you could use to practice with on your computer. Would they work or pair up to a drone or can you only use the radio that comes with a drone. I know so little about drones. I just want something that will hover overhead in one spot and take decent quality video. Without having to use an app or cell phone. The mini 2 sure seems like a nice drone.

Finally, payload lift amount? I'd love to have it carry an Apple track device as I've seen video where it was MIA. Again, screen options a big point for me
