BEWARE if you live in the US. I just bought this drone after watching a lot of these videos, and I was so excited. I got it and I contacted the company to find out if it was going to be remote id compliant... yep, NO, oh, but you can get a $300 module to add to it to make it compliant. Gee thanks, the combo of price drone and the extra RId module is equal to a mini3 pro. :( I am so disappointed. My fault for not asking first. I thought companies were told they had to comply this year with models being sold after 2022. Big mistake.
I agree, it is a bit confusing about the remote ID as manufacturers in are supposed to comply in 2022. I believe Holy Stone is coming out with their own RID module to upgrade their drones, maybe they plan to send these out to previous owners, not sure....
@@AlienDrones i wrote to them and asked. They said they have a new drone in development that will be compliant, but current models will need to add the chip and they included a link to the $300 dronetag
Good, concise review. Love the criticisms. Other than the gimbal, how is this different (better or worse) than the hs 720e. Extra batteries for this are about $80 and the 720e comes with 2.
some have said that turning off mobile data helps with connection issues. you should try and recreate the connection loss using only wifi without data and see if it helps
I've only just come across your channel - very good reviewing with no DJI biasing - this model , as most of the Holy Stones are MJX architecture, in this case the B16 rebodied ( batteries not interchangeable as different package ) the reason your satellite capture has improved is because MJX have changed out the GPS module they have used for a number of years, the MJX pro app works slightly better than the Holystone app ( it has a few more updates ). The Holystone versions of the MJX range also come with the Amazon warranty which accounts for the premium price.
@@AlienDronescan either of you tell me what would happen if I'm on a slow moving boat and signal is lost? Return to home would not be an option since I've moved since launching.
@@artsmith103 Depends why it disconnects in the first place. The _auto_ return to home would likely still end up in the water since your home point is no longer where you launched from, regardless if it reconnects or not. Would need manual navigation to try and recover the UAV. If you're using it this way, honestly not sure I would recommend this model. Depending on your needs there are brands that do better with more current technology.
Here in the UK, Temu have just discontinued this item. I ordered one a few days ago, that should arrive soon. I found your video to be very helpful, thanks.
Your review is spot on. I just received mine last week. I've flown mine a few times. Takes great video and controls are responsive. I also noticed when I did a range test, my video froze for a brief second and the GPS went red However mine reconnected. But honestly, when the video begins to cut out, I am unable to see drone, so I guess I shouldn't have it out that far anyway. It's a good drone especially for a beginner like me.
Have you come across this problem - drone flying, camera working fine... phone screen goes black and drone disappears. It just does its own thing, ends up hittg ground not even flat.. all the props i switched out, one arm is actually damaged. I tried again with new props, near same thing... 18 sats.. gps on... frying great within 30 feet distance, less than 20 feet h... does its own thing again... we had to chase it.
@@ScubaInArizonaSunCity I have not experienced that. I've had my screen freeze for a brief second and the gps turned red, but not go black. I would contact the company. They have good customer service and may send you a new unit.
The R model of this now has a 3-axis gimbal so apparently the consumers want that (so do I). Holy Stone has a big hill to climb with the poor reviews of its earlier offerings. But the R model is US$400 so it's in the same price range as the big boys, and higher than some (at least on Amazon). I was unimpressed with its follow me function. Seems some software upgrades could keep the subject in its view better, since that's the whole point of follow me. I like your reviews, and am leaning towards the Atom 4K. The DJI Mini 2 SE is going back to them as it never flew even after all my troubleshooting based on their direction.
At 1:15: the landscape backdrop with buildings, mountains, and broadcast tower makes it seem as though you're originating right here in Bristol, Vermont.
Good review, when I got mine (for my partner) he received a free spare battery because he wrote a good review. This is the partner writing this in third person. I’m very happy with this drone. Thank you for the review.
Great review Keith. It looks like Holy Stone is progressively improving their products and making a name in the drone business. Sweet! The more competition the better.
Absolutely! Thinking what tech is available for under $300 and how decent it is, is amazing. We truly are spoiled with some of the value available in the market today... 😎
I have to say the HS720s are a nice drone but I had one with the controller went bad And I took it apart and found SLOPPY SOLDERING the drone itself was very well built but not so much for the controller and that is made for ten other drones. The HOLY STONE people DID ! give me a new drone and so far I have been enjoying it and have had no problems with this one ..Looking forward to getting the HS720G model next
Interesting how so many products bait you by gradually introducing new features over time while you go ahead and buy the version that will be antiquated in just a short time. Computers might be the best example I can think of but drones do a pretty good job, too. Hard to believe HS didn't have the 'g' technology when they started selling the 'e' model.
I got mine a couple of days ago. The only thing I saw that it will drift a little. Other than that it was great. Unfortunately I am by an airport so I can fly by my house. So I haven't had much time to fly it. If yours don't reconnect to your phones wifi, then when you set it up you probably didn't select auto connect to this wifi for the drones sid. Same as a router. ie: If I have auto connect off then it wont reconnect to my router.
With your Auto Reconnect solution, have you ever not been able to reconnect? What is typical good max range? (I've seen 500 yds common, 1,000 yds difficult.)
Good Job! Holly stone does keep improving their drones. You make your videos very interesting because you have so much energy in your presentations! Plus you are testing all sorts of drones . Keep up the good work!
Awesome! Thank you! I try to test various products to give a good overview of what's out there. Every product is unique and has it's own nuances that make it interesting. The energy is _easy_ as I really do enjoy showcasing what brands offer and giving honest feedback that hopefully help someone in some small way! 😎
Nice video i know dji probably is a better drones but if you are using android I heard it doesn't work right the app . So what's the best under 250g drone out there that's not dji ? And work good with android phones like the Samsungs
Right now, from a technology standpoint DJI has some of the best products right now, hands down. There is about to be some significant competition in this segment in the next few weeks... stay tuned!
I should have have listen to you went out and got hs710 so I go and test it I mean all I did was take off and hover in place at first seemed fine after after the second test flight which i was standing only 10 feet from the drone the whole time it started to toilet bowl with 14 satellites showing no wind crashed in bush sending it back wanted to change the propellers and the the screwdriver that it came with wouldn't work on the screws . Maybe I just got unlucky . But I'm going to wait to get another drone the technology is still not there yet for the inexpensive ones seems like . Or try mini se and chance that it will not work with my android phone not sure now what to get $300 is about all I want to spend
For a good dji alternate drone that flies really good and is also under 250g, my suggestion would be the fimi x8 mini. I've got one and it flies great.
I bought myself one of these after watching your review. I flew for the first time today. It is quite nice drone but only seems to have 2 speeds: Tripod and Racing. The gimbal responds quickly but the video is not that great, neither are the photos. I can't seem to find out if you can trim it, or in fact how to trim it though. It's a step up from my chemo Potensic drones though. A good stepping stone to something more high-end. I got 22"7" flight time. Density Altitude was about 100'. Wind 9mph. Many thanks
When it firsts launches, let it hover just a little while. For some reason it, at least the one I own, kind of wanders around aimlessly. At first I thought something get paired, synced, or whatever, but after aborting flight several times, I realized it just needed some time.
Problem with ALL drone discussion about signal loss, without the following additional information, the reviews are questionable: 1) Are you using 2.5 or 5G? If you are using 5G, has your drone gone behind some trees, bushes, buildings, houses? 2) Have you looked at the 2.5 congestion and determined you need to switch to 5G? 3) Does the drone even allow you to change from 2.5 to 5G? 4) If the drone allows you to switch to 5g, does it furthermore allow you to select a specific frequency along a histogram of 100 available frequencies? 5) If you are using your personal smart phone, is it the Motorola or some other Android phone? 6) Did you remember to turn on AIRPLANE MODE so your phone doesn't take over the transmission, and/or interfere with the distance. Many UA-cam videos where the drone pilot comes to the realization that once they switch Airplane mode on, the drone's manufacturer transmitter takes over and the range is doubled.
I think it's a pretty good starter drone for the money but the 4K looks very soft to me - comparable to 1080P. I have the DJI Mini 4 Pro and it is much sharper. Of course it costs 3 times more so factor that in. Don't automatically assume that if a file is listed as 3840 x 2160 that that is the actual resolution. I've seen videos that barely look like 720P yet they are in a 4K container.
Sent my DJI SE back, all it wanted to do is charge my phone and DJI drones are no way compatible with Android, DJI blame Android and a big problem, bought one of these and wow, now we're talking! No Android problem with Holly Stone
This model does a decent job for sure. Worked with my Android phone as well. Did have some issues with other models and Android in the past but this one worked out of the box. 🤙
I wish the color grad was the same on your main camera and this camera. It seems like drone cameras don’t pick up the colors as well as a main camera unless you go with DJI.
Yup, it's not DJI, it's just the camera sensor that they use. More expensive drones use a better, mostly Sony sensor, probably the same ones as in a lot of cameras... Sometimes the color is horrible for sure...
Thanks! Yes, the 2-axis gimbal w/EIS isn't _quite_ as good as a full 3-axis and the bitrate is just a touch low. Not bad, but those little nuances do show up from time to time. Tradeoffs for the price I suppose... 😎
1st time drone buyer. Looking for drone to inspect home roofs. Do not want to break the bank, but not so cheap as to replace too quickly. Would this suffice/ suggestions? thanks.
Thanks for the question! This one is marginal but _could_ work. It does need decent light to have a quality image and is a bit "loose" in it's controls. Meaning if you need to sneak up on things and get closed to items (like a chimney, etc.) you have to be really careful. It also doesn't have great range so you have to be careful not to get too far away, or in an area with interference as it will disconnect. There have been some reports of "toilet bowling" which most did not have, but a few did... A drone in this price range is a crap shoot sometimes but it may be just fine. If you are going to do this on an ongoing basis, may want to bump up to something like the DJI mini SE (only 2.7k video) amzn.to/3NHNRLW or the Mini 2 amzn.to/3uLXcfl or the EXO mini bit.ly/3tvbVtq (4k video). Closer to double the price ($400-$600 with extra batteries) but you want a really good camera (so you can zoom and see quality) and a dependable flier for sure and you won't regret stepping up a little in the quality. Probably not what you wanted to hear but my honest opinion to try and save you some frustration. Hope this helps! Let me know what you decide and how it works out for you!
Seen a bunch of drone video's... Came here and had a great laugh seeing your intro... Watched it super serious and then I saw the drone splashing in the water behind you... Hilarious 🤣 Must know I recently started with flying and on my first day I crashed my mjx b16 in the tree behind the drone watching it from the phone(front) never thought of that tree coming behind so fast.. Proud as I was seeing the fade out of the tree in front 😛😂. Still... Repaired it and planning on moving forward... Enjoying drone flying.. Thanks for the laugh and I'm sure I'll learn to watching your channel. Keep it up 👍🍀
Really trying to decide on this vs dji mini 2.. any suggestions?? I live in Hawaii, so going to be doing beach videos and home tours with the drone. Mahalo!
Though the 720G is a good advancement for HS, IMO the Mini 2 will serve you better for your use friend... If you can swing the little more $, it is better refined with better connectivity (and sounds like you may want to do a bit of commercial work), and the 720G is a bit more loose to control... 🤙
great review Given the price point I would definitely suggest that anyone thinking about buying this drone take a hard look at the DJI Mini SE. The connectivity issue that you experienced seems to be fairly common with Holy Stone drones.
Unfortunately..would love a mini se..but dji don't seem too friendly with Android phones...so I can't get a DUI. Wish they would get it together. So my only option right now is pretty much this. I have a hs360 and video feed always losses connection at about 300 meters and won't reconnect.
I got the HS720G and was wondering about accessories like strobe lights, propeller guards, and landing gear that I see everywhere for the 720 and 720E. Where can I get accessories for the 720G ??
You tested this drone at Doepke Park in Rib Mountain. I live in the Wausau area as well. I've never owned a drone before, so I'm looking at purchasing my first one. I'm looking at this model, but not also considering a DJI model. Are there any DJI models in the same price range as this model?
Howdy! DJI does have the Mini SE which starts around $299, which for the technology is a decent value, though not 4k video and missing some smart features. Lot of people have been having issues with Android devices not working with the App (just crashes, including myself) but overall they do a decent job for the price. 😎
Hi from Greece 🇬🇷 Athens, for a beginner like me what drones you suggest me to buy..?Holy stone HS 700D or Holy stone 720G..?I appreciate every help on that, thanks .🙋♂️🇬🇷

Hi again thank you for your feedback also I have another question for you maybe you can help me i so a video of a remote control for a holy stone HS 720 drone and the remote control have a bigger antenna i can do it to my remote control for my drone and if anyone have the video that shows how to install it I really appreciate thanks again and sorry for your inconvenience I expected your feedback bye
@@charlestaylor2255 I don't know of any other remotes for the 720g that have longer antennas. The antennas are able to be folded out on the remote, so maybe that's what you were seeing
Lipo batteries are pre-built. I can't get in that way and since they are built into the small boxes and are intended for charging via USB and therefore I have no option to connect them to a voltmeter or charger to see how much voltage the remaining voltage is.
I'll put it on the list... 🤙 I'm working with Potensic right now and it is a really solid model. They will have a 3-axis gimbal model soon and if it works as good as this one, it will be a stand out choice for the money...
@@AlienDrones thanks, I will put the Potensic on my list, right now I am trying to decide between the HS720G and the DJI Mini SE. Which drone would you recommend to me?
@@rexhall1130 Of those 2, IMO the mini SE will serve you better dollar for dollar in the long run. In addition, being below 250g removes the registration requirement for recreational purposes and in the future the Remote ID requirement as well, if those are important to you. It will be interesting to see the ATOM with a 3-axis gimbal as this is a solid entry from potensic for the price...
Hey there. Do you know if spare blades are normally available for the HS720g? Looks like maybe not but maybe you know. Maybe it’s still too new of a drone idk. Thanks.
They've been really spotty, but they have been available here in the last couple of weeks: amzn.to/3cB15Nz . Some come in stock and they are gone right away. I think it's the same supply chain issues making them unavailable... ☹
Hi new to your channel. I want one of these! Want to upgrade from a lesser feature drone. What mini sd card do you recommend? I have a PNY 128gb but am hearing recommendations on scan disc. Thanks.
Hello! I normally use these for everything now, been pretty robust. amzn.to/3nV0ngy . Some drones can only accept up to 32GB though, and in this case I use the similar model: amzn.to/3OhiCaN . Good Flying! 🤙
The footage was so jerky when doing any pan left or right? And the orbit had that too. So it's pretty much unusable footage surely? Why no mention of this in the review?
I also saw this, seemed like it took a while for the GPS to lock on sometimes, and if it did, seemed to lose it momentarily after takeoff once in a while and it had to reacquire again. It was a bit "spongy" overall, got pushed around a bit and drifted position a little. Holy Stone seems to have this issue with the GPS and sometimes it is solid, sometimes it drifts a bit. Only thing I can suggest is to make sure there are a lot of satellites before launching and once in the air give it a minute to lock on as good as it can. If it continues and is something you simply can't live with, I would suggest simply returning it as it is likely nothing you are doing wrong, just inherent with the design.
Whats the minimum number of satelites reguired to allow this drone or drones of this price range to operate? Dose this give distance or height notifications?
I've found 11-12 satellites is a good amount for best performance, though drones in this price range can be a bit prone to toilet bowl regardless depending on your area... The height and distance answer is in the video. 🤙
Thank you for the kind words! 🙏 The code was good in the US but the coupon code has expired, but there is a current discount on Amazon (at least on Prime that I see) for $85 off, which is better than the coupon was. Not sure how long this discount is going to run but for $255 it's not bad...
If you're flying in the same area you are not supposed to _have to_ do it each time, but I would anyway, and especially the Gyro... Personally I look at it as cheap insurance... 🤙
Is it possible that some holy stone drones have a weeker gps system . Have had 2 720e drones ,Frist 1 flew perfect until it crashed for no reason .Hs sent me a replacement which was total uncontrolable which finally crashed. On number3 l ordered from amazon.Having lots of problems also with it .Sending it back today.Holy Stone said they will send me a nother replacement.Hope l get a good one this time.
Thanks for the comment! Indeed, like anything I suppose there could be differences in the product and in the satellites and the strength in your area too. While I usually only have a sample of one product to test, I have ran into models that simply won't fly in GPS and I've reverted to using these only in non-GPS mode. I believe a lot of models are getting better every day but if you have problems right away, I would search down a different model as perhaps your satellites are just not good enough for that specific model or the model is just poor quality. It should just work. Too stressful and dangerous to fly something that crashes by itself... 😎
Great video bro!! i need a budget friendly drone with a 200-250$ budget in my pocket, mostly for real state videos that will be uploaded on tik tok or instagram so i assume i dont need even 4k since social media drops the quality down, and of course, that can fly about 30 min maybe? any advice?? thanks a lot brotha, you got a new subscriber here :)
Thanks! A decent drone that is controllable and stable, with good resolution for $200-$250 with flight time of 30 min is a tough ask. Most drones in this range are entry level and can be fun to fly, but the gimbal stability and video resolution are questionable at best and the battery would be 1/2 that. The 720G will not be a good fit, and I'm not sure if there is anything I can recommend with these requirements. My best advice is in some capacity, is you get what you pay for, and if you want to truly use this professionally you'll need to double this price range to start, and consider an even higher budget, as it is a long term investment that will serve you for years and will be well worth the investment. 🤙
It isn't supposed to be calibrated every time, only if you move to a new area. I do it sometimes, especially with this brand, as they have been known to have weak electronics for position srability.
One thing I don't recall you commenting about. Their customer service is incredible. My son plain crashed his and after convincing them he was familiar with flying, they offered to replace it. Plus, I have read a lot of comments from basically saying the same thing.
@@AlienDrones yeah , thanks. I think you are correct which is a bit of a shame, as 720 and 720e are the same and i can't seem to find the G ones for sale in the UK at reasonable prices..
Can you compare it to any of dgi drones? In terms of fly stability, video recording ect ?? Or dgi are on different league ? Somehow clips from dgi drones looks much better, sharper, clearer. Is it post recording editing or dgi are simply superior ? also could you do range test ??
DJI is at a different level as they are the biggest manufacturer in the world and do a good job. That being said, this 4k drone sells for $250 with 1 battery. DJI mini2 4k with 1 battery is $499, so twice the price. So if you want a better drone, you get what you pay for, and if you pay double, you get double (in terms of camera quality, stability, build quality and functionality). I went out about 800' with this drone and had no break-up of the signal yet but it was getting hard to see. Range tests beyond that are illegal so I didn't go beyond that as we had medical helicopters out in force that day. 🤙
Thanks for the great review! I picked one up and flew it today for the first time. Any suggestions on where to pick up a spare battery? It's not an option to buy a second battery on Amazon, and even the link for purchasing the battery independently shows it as "Currently Unavailable." Ugh! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks for the kind words! Indeed, not having that extra battery is a bummer for sure. I did look in the few places I know and they are out as well. This is a new release model so my guess is that it might be a bit before they get all their ducks in a row from China, given all the supply chain issues and the world in chaos as it is. Good Flying! 🤙
First verify that there is no toilet bowling with either of them. If one does, send that one back. If both are good, on paper it looks like the HS600 has an edge to me, but they are close...
Yes, I meant to mention that. OMG, that's retarded. Just sign up with a junk email, doesn't even have to be real, then skip after that. Don't know why they did that, really irritating but once you get past it the first time it goes away...
@@FR8Productions Steady video is one aspect but steady and reliable flight and options available is also important. In general, you will get what you pay for to some extent, and if you add a couple hundred dollars to it you'll get a lot more stability and options, again, in general. The $300 price range can be a crap shoot a bit and the 720G is fair but quality can be spotty, so my advice there is if that's your budget, be sure to get it from Amazon with prime so if it doesn't work you can return it because there's nothing more frustrating than a drone that is uncontrollable and you can't get your money back somehow, ruins the fun for sure. The DJI mini SE is really stable and a good flier for the price of $299, $360 with an extra battery, but the video is only 2k, but is still good for the majority of situations. The smaller drones do get pushed around a bit, so be mindful of wind. Take a look at the Cinemaster 2 from EXO (Originally MJX tech I think) ua-cam.com/video/2rRktswPOeY/v-deo.html as well (Amazon Here: amzn.to/3TKFYJN ) , it is in that price range of $350ish ($429 with another battery) and has a higher wind resistance, the vid quality is decent with basic functions yet. Beyond that, you'll need to step up to the $550-$650 range like the EXO mini (Hubsan) or the DJI mini 2 but the quality and the flight range steps up a lot too. If you have specific needs let me know and I can try and point you in the right direction as all drones are not created equal, for sure! Hopes this helps!

As a word of caution, these drones have been having connection issues for a long time now. Its resulting in drones being uncontrollable, toilet bowling and just flying off, never to be found. After contacting the company alot of the owners only got an oh well responce. So imo let the buyer beware on this drone.
I have this drone. I didn't understand how much holystone sucks compared to DJI until I just bought the original mavic mini. Ease of flight, camera, and usability in a 5 year old DJI is light-years beyond this drone.
I have the 720 drone keeps flying off by itself imagine all the good points why don’t you talk about negative points? PS, what’s causing the drone to fly off by itself?

Good suggestion for sure. I usually do run in airplane mode, but I'm not certain if I did in this case. 👍
Thanks for watching! 👍

But honestly, when the video begins to cut out, I am unable to see drone, so I guess I shouldn't have it out that far anyway. It's a good drone especially for a beginner like me.
Great to hear, Thanks for sharing! 👍
@@ScubaInArizonaSunCity Haven't had any weirdness like that...
@@ScubaInArizonaSunCity there are videos elsewhere where this happens. It seems quite a few have had loss of control issues in recent vids.
The DJI Mini 2 SE is going back to them as it never flew even after all my troubleshooting based on their direction.

hello, do you always need to pressed the lock and switch button everytime you start using this drone?
I believe that's correct...
Good review, when I got mine (for my partner) he received a free spare battery because he wrote a good review. This is the partner writing this in third person. I’m very happy with this drone.
Thank you for the review.
Thanks for sharing and the kind words! Can always use an extra battery on a nice day! 🤙
@artsmith103 I sent it back and got a DJI Mini 2.
Thanks for the video, the discount code does not work outside of the USA... luckily, it has been discounted on Amazon UK
@@romanmax8561 Indeed, I couldn't make the 710 fly straight. If you are price limited at a budget of
For a good dji alternate drone that flies really good and is also under 250g, my suggestion would be the fimi x8 mini.
Wind 9mph. Many thanks
Glad you're enjoying the flights! 👍
I like. Holy stone
Mini SE for same price...
When it firsts launches, let it hover just a little while. For some reason it, at least the one I own, kind of wanders around aimlessly. At first I thought something get paired, synced, or whatever, but after aborting flight several times, I realized it just needed some time.
Thanks for sharing!
What size aperature. Aperature size is just as important as pixel resolution for determining picture and video quality
Problem with ALL drone discussion about signal loss, without the following additional information, the reviews are questionable:
1) Are you using 2.5 or 5G?
Just purchased this drone. It’s my first drone. Definitely crashed it a few times already. Still learning though
Thanks for sharing!
Indeed, all "stated" 4k resolution does not look the same for sure... 🤙🤙
The app requires you to log in to use it, how do you do that if your in a remote location and don't have cell service
Would you recommend this drone for the use of real estate photography/ videography ?
No, this would not be a good choice for professional work.
Great review, keep them coming.
A little bit of jerkiness in the video concerns me, did you notice that?
I dont think you cal the gyro, its the accelerometer. Every time you power up, the gyro calibrates itself when still.
Great footage enjoy the week
Gobsmacked & Flabbergasted! 🙃
Finally Holy Stone has caught up with the DJI Spark 😂
Hahahaha
I don't think it's about catching up. I think it's about staying below $500
Seen a bunch of drone video's... Came here and had a great laugh seeing your intro... Watched it super serious and then I saw the drone splashing in the water behind you... Hilarious 🤣
Must know I recently started with flying and on my first day I crashed my mjx b16 in the tree behind the drone watching it from the phone(front) never thought of that tree coming behind so fast.. Proud as I was seeing the fade out of the tree in front 😛😂.
Still... Repaired it and planning on moving forward... Enjoying drone flying.. Thanks for the laugh and I'm sure I'll learn to watching your channel. Keep it up 👍🍀
Thanks for watching and the kind words! Good Flying!
great review
Given the price point I would definitely suggest that anyone thinking about buying this drone take a hard look at the DJI Mini SE.
The connectivity issue that you experienced seems to be fairly common with Holy Stone drones.
Thanks for sharing
Unfortunately..would love a mini se..but dji don't seem too friendly with Android phones...so I can't get a DUI. Wish they would get it together. So my only option right now is pretty much this. I have a hs360 and video feed always losses connection at about 300 meters and won't reconnect.
Mine always turns off the video on return to home. Is that normal? I really want that footage.
Awesome review on this model. Very honest and informative as always. 👍🏻
Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to let me know!
How much weight could one of these lift? 15 oz?
I got the HS720G and was wondering about accessories like strobe lights, propeller guards, and landing gear that I see everywhere for the 720 and 720E. Where can I get accessories for the 720G ??
Wouldn't you prefer more marketing?
You tested this drone at Doepke Park in Rib Mountain. I live in the Wausau area as well. I've never owned a drone before, so I'm looking at purchasing my first one. I'm looking at this model, but not also considering a DJI model. Are there any DJI models in the same price range as this model?
Howdy! DJI does have the Mini SE which starts around $299, which for the technology is a decent value, though not 4k video and missing some smart features. Lot of people have been having issues with Android devices not working with the App (just crashes, including myself) but overall they do a decent job for the price. 😎

Hi i have a Holy Stone HS 720 drone but I am having problems with the wifi connection when I try to connected it say no connection or service if you can help me out i really appreciated thanks
It says no connection or service because the wifi signal the drone gives off does not provide internet. It is only for the camera feed to the drone

Great job 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
If I want to overwinter my Holystone batteries, do I have to discharge the batteries by up to 50%? Or does that matter what charge level they have?
In general I think that's the recommended way to handle Li-ion batteries. 🤙
Lipo batteries are pre-built. I can't get in that way and since they are built into the small boxes and are intended for charging via USB and therefore I have no option to connect them to a voltmeter or charger to see how much voltage the remaining voltage is.
can you do a best 300$ drone video?

Hello 🤗 what do you think is better HS720G or HS720E?
Thanks for the question! Between these two, the HS720G for sure is better, has a real gimbal and is a definite upgrade to the 720E.
No mention of waypoints. Guess it's still not working?
I typically have difficulty with waypoints on Android as the maps don't work consistently for me...
I just grabbed a G. It’s toilet bowling a bit. With 14 plus sats.
Yep, exchanging it. Wow. Went nuts.
That's a shame for sure. Not sure why Holy Stone has so many random issues with that... 🤷♂️
Nice set up
Glad you think so!
Did you have any issues with saving pics and videos to the sd card, then viewing the sd card in the app?
I didn't have any problem transferring the files from the SD card, but I never used the app for viewing files so I can't comment on that.
I may have missed it but which app are you using ? I have Ophelia go for my 720e.
That's the one I used as well
The footage was so jerky when doing any pan left or right? And the orbit had that too. So it's pretty much unusable footage surely? Why no mention of this in the review?
Got this drone. Mine drifts a bit after take off instead of hovering in one spot, seems to be random. Any thoughts?
@@AlienDrones Okay, thanks for the info. I'll try that next time and see how it goes 👍🏻 Great review btw
What app do u use for phone
Another great review video. Is that discount code good in the US and if so for how long? Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words! 🙏 The code was good in the US but the coupon code has expired, but there is a current discount on Amazon (at least on Prime that I see) for $85 off, which is better than the coupon was. Not sure how long this discount is going to run but for $255 it's not bad...
@@AlienDrones saw it there for $254 US thanks.

Does the 720g have the same camera as the 720e?
I would say they are different sensors as the 720g has 2K/30 vid, the 720e is 4k/30 vid.
Do we have to calibrate the compass everytime when use the drone or it is done once?
Do you have to calobrate this one every time?
It isn't supposed to be calibrated every time, only if you move to a new area. I do it sometimes, especially with this brand, as they have been known to have weak electronics for position srability.
One thing I don't recall you commenting about. Their customer service is incredible. My son plain crashed his and after convincing them he was familiar with flying, they offered to replace it. Plus, I have read a lot of comments from basically saying the same thing.
Good to know!
any idea if the HS720 and HS720e use the same battery as this 720g?
Pretty sure they are not the same
@@AlienDrones yeah , thanks.
What’s a dgi? Dji maybe. Smh.

The 720G is better and more consistent than the 360 IMHO.
@@AlienDrones any others i should look at that have steady video?

Approx what was the wind speed (mph please) on your test flight? I've ordered the 720G and it'll be here Saturday, but we can get a lot of wind here so I'm curious as to what would be "too windy" for this drone. Thanks for a great vid. Very informative.
Thanks! I believe it was 8-10 MPH at the time, gusting to 12 ish, or a bit more...
I have a holy stone mini
As a word of caution, these drones have been having connection issues for a long time now. Its resulting in drones being uncontrollable, toilet bowling and just flying off, never to be found. After contacting the company alot of the owners only got an oh well responce. So imo let the buyer beware on this drone.
I have this drone. I didn't understand how much holystone sucks compared to DJI until I just bought the original mavic mini. Ease of flight, camera, and usability in a 5 year old DJI is light-years beyond this drone.
The cost of replacement batteries being 89 dollars is crazy.
battery costs are insane...
@@AlienDrones definitely. It's the proprietary part that bothers me.
I have the 720 drone keeps flying off by itself imagine all the good points why don’t you talk about negative points? PS, what’s causing the drone to fly off by itself?
Indeed, I show everything that happens during testing, good or bad. If it would have flown away I would have shown that. For instance: ua-cam.com/video/IFWEJDSladU/v-deo.htmlsi=oBmRWzhbSso7vAzv
