this is by far the best golf channel with the most comprehensive lessons on the internet.
Thank you so much
🙏💯
Hands down, the best golf training content on the internet, no pun intended 🙂
Ha I see what you did there well done😂
..hands down, the best comment on..
..sorry I shouldn’t
This is the kind of learning of people that need a why for when they are told to do something. It is great.
Speachless.. Finally after 2000 youtube video's I understand. Thank You so much
A couple of big takeaways (among others)…“When you pull your arms across your body you freeze rotation” and “you need to give your body a reason to rotate.” You guys look at the problem so differently, no one else is close. Great video!!
Thanks brother, we hope it helps!
This is also a big lightbulb moment for me, I have always been trying to get open. Once I understood that the arms lower and the pivot brings them around, my rotation is automatic
It’s like you guys were watching my practice session. 😂😂 I’ll stop flipping some day. It just seems a mystery now.

You two are so important to the game of amateur golf. Your breakdowns are superb!
Wow thank you for saying that !
This has to be one of your best videos yet. Great explanation of the relationship and contributions of the arms and the body to achieve the best results. Like most of us i thought the hands were much further advanced that you showed, at impact. As you say, just an illusion from the 2d front on camera angle.
Spot on Colin, my thoughts exactly. It’s amazing how they know what we’re doing and thinking about and how to correct us. Almost spooky!
You made my day with this video! It's so interesting and I'll give it a try - thank you so much and keep going!
Awesome and so easy to understand the way you guys explained it so clearly great work
This really helps. Thanks for doing this. Really makes it clear.
Incredibly insightful, as always. Really improved quality of impact. Thanks
Great video. My question from yesterday which I do not see here anymore was answered. Have learned so much from you guys. Thank you.
Trail side impact makes sense, never thought it that way. It was hard for me to get the club around and in front of my trail leg even as a 4 handicap. I added right side bend to this equation and it all came together since I needed a trigger because the golf swing is only about 1 second. Thank you, best video I've seen out there in the ether.
Great team of instructors ! Thankyou
You guys are good! Just love it everytime you debunk common myths.
We love sharing what we learn 👊🤓
I've been a long time fan of Pete Cowan, and this jives identically at what he teaches, along with loading the shoulders and putting pressure into the ground to generate power when you rotate correctly. It was game changing for me when I understood his approach and how much noise there was in my previous swing and how simple a good swing really is (but very hard to understand and produce).
One other thing that you didn't talk about (but I think was instrumental in helping me visualize it correctly) is the position and flex of the right hand through the swing and how important it is in stabilizing the head through impact.
Also, the split hand drill and cross-hand grip drill also really helped me get my club in the right spot on the downswing as it transitions into rotation.
Best golf instruction video I've ever seen! This clears up so much. Many thanks!!
Such an important lesson with so many gems to watch and listen to again and again
Awesome explanation, easy to understand what’s happening, and the fix!! Great work on this one as you do always.
Thank you !!!
Absolute gold. Isolating pieces of the swing like this is the future of instruction. Thanks guys - keep it coming 🙏
Always love your 3D Swing analysis and how you guys break it down for us to understand what is really happening. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Thank you 🙏
What a amazing insight as to how the swing and timing of the hands and their impact location behind the center of the body occurs. What a game changer tks
The best explanation of this concept that I have ever seen. You guys are the best.
Great explication,thank you for sharing
Great video! One of your finest. I have never heard the golf swing explained from this perspective. It makes total sense.
Happy it helped !!!
Guys, this is a terrific video, with 3D to demonstrate. I really like how you explained the 3 parts of this video. I love the part where Mike discusses if the camera was moving to show the view from continuous angle versus a still camera not being able to do so, causing a false impression. Great job!!
Wow! I’ve been practicing the wrong thing all this time. Thank you so much for clarifying this to us. Wow! I always thought that with hip rotation, I was coming over the top, because I was moving my hips too fast. This makes so much sense to me now. Wow! Thank you so much.
Another gem of a lesson fellows, thanks a million for sharing with us all!
You’re welcome !!
That was the best explanation I’ve ever seen and put in a clear, easy to digest way and visualise. Thank you for amazing content - I’m a subscriber and have liked the video.
🙏🏻💯. We hope it helps!
My instructor and I are working on this and this video did and excellent job of bringing more clarity to this. Thank you for a great video!!
Thank you for always including a drill @ the end of your videos. Appreciate y’all
Best video on the golf swing I’ve ever seen! You guys are reaching a new level!
I still cant get enough of this video. A good takeaway and pivot, combined with these moves equals the path of least resistance. Its so easy to apply the club to the ball and not hit fat with these concepts. I'm left handed and golf right handed so I have went through periods where I didn't hardly use my trail side and I didn't even know it! Now I know I can't make a fairway without it.
Wow this perspective is incredible. Well done guys. Such an eye opener.
Just had a lesson with my coach today where we were focusing on reducing the swipe with the hands. My body was stalling out over the ball and my hands then were finishing the swing without rotating my body through. Terrific video today.
Great video! Really helped me out as it connected the final pieces. When I first learned of the arm swing myth, it was about the backswing. I was able to conceptualize the arm swing in the downswing, but I didn't understand the swing from p6 to p7 because my clubhead would be a foot or so behind the ball. I also didn't comprehend the 'crossover' into the follow thru. Now I do and I've been able to connect the dots better with my pivot and pressure shifts.
I do have a question of what the arm swing looks like if you were to take the turn out of the golfer from p6 to p7 as the hand path goes upward. I can't quite wrap my head around it.
I also have a question with regards to the arm swing in the backswing and downswing...for tour pros. is the body pivoting at a faster rate than the arms are raising and lowering?
Thanks in advance.
Having the correct concept is essential to improvement and no one does a better job of explaining swing mechanics better than you guys. Great job.
Thanks this helped me clear up a lot concept wise around impact! I really loved those hip vs hands diagrams at setup, impact and follow through. I would to get one for each time of shot!
Aka same diagram in the video but for a chip, pitch, approach, drive!
We can do that for you 👍
The graphic visuals and explanation to reinforce what you are talking about really tie it all together. New sub.
My fav and only golf channel I watch ! Nothing but facts ! Thanks guys.
🙏🏻💯
I'm back to this video again and just picked up a new nugget...trail side impact. Who knew. Thanks for the insight.
Excellent explanation with new and very worthwhile information. Best explanation I’ve ever heard about the downswing and proper way to achieve forward shaft lean. Really helpful.
Thank you!!
Great video. I really need this one.
The language you use and the clarity you have about the concepts you're explaing is first class
🤯this video clarified many things that I’ve been confused about!!
A really useful video and explanation that I have not seen before.
wow, cant wait to try this out later...more power to u guys
This video explains the exact mechanism how to make golf swing. Thank you very much😅
Wow this info was amazing, thank you
excellent, truly. I have followed your channel for quite a while and your ability to explain concepts is top notch. I am taking lessons with a pro, but some things that you explain is just "hands down" the best
Thanks for the kind words! 🙏🏻💯
💡💡💡💡💡... fantastic...you just saved me hours of "figuring" it out...instant improvement...thanks
Been watching a few videos on shaft lean as I seek better compression. Nobody has covered it to this detail and when you try it out, it just makes sense.
Absolutely love you guys content
Wow! This is gold! This video combined with the amazing shallowing video is 🔥 🔥 🔥 Thank you guys so much!
Thank you!!
100% ! Started in January and that video changed everything.
Can't tell you how much this changed my mental picture of the down swing and my ability to execute a good with shaft lean-thank you so much!!
My coach has been trying to demonstrate this to me for ages... I didn't get it until I watched this video! Two thumbs up!!!
Solid gold advice!!!! Thank you both!!
Any time!
Excellent observation that frames of reference alter our perception of "reality". The GEARS stuff really makes the point but transferring that "real" to "feel" (what the golfer thinks that his body is doing) is the key to all good teaching. Well done, guys!
Great explanation very well done.
Your videos are absolutely awesome! So informative… Thank you so much!
How about a video on competing forces in the golf swing…centripetal versus centrifugal?
Great research, thank you
Excellent video and explanation. Consistently great content
This might be the best ever golf instruction video ! Awesome !
This is the most valuable golf training video I’ve ever seen up till now. This saves my golf game.
Completely revolutionized my understanding of how to get shaft lean at impact. Thank you guys for the free content!
Your videos have helped me immensely, thanks guys. As an older golfer I have limited movement in the lead shoulder so at the top of my backswing my shoulders are fully rotated but the left arm can't pull tight across my chest (adduction) resulting in being half way through shallowing at the start of the downswing. Would like to see something on how to sequence the downswing with an incomplete back swing.
Another great "concept"! Love the use of 3D to really see what's happening in the swing. Great video!
Thanks brother 👊🤓
Great lesson many thanks Tom 😮
Thanks for the tip. I've been trying to hold the lag for too long. Need to work on a better body turn.
Great job gentleman. Very timely for me. Thanks
Great to hear!
I like the science! Also you have a very good video presence. Thanks.
Really great insight. Thanks mates.
This was amazing thank you!!
Really great lesson. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Thank You so much for this great content! Very very helpful! Cheers from Germany
You're very welcome!
Great tutorial ....!!!!! just love this channel
🙏🏻💯
Amazing video, thankyou!
Mind blown. Thank you.
Really awesome lesson guys thanks again for your time and expertise!! Do you have a video about shooting the BB? Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
We do. It’s an older one but I’ll try to find it.
Another eye opener 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍thanks again 😄
Very good analysis.
Amazing information thank you
The video, finally, that is most needed for all golfers everywhere. Wonderful! However, i would add one thing. We don't let the club swing, but instead we accelerate the clubhead to and through impact. This is done with a power rotation of the upper arm bones, such that the right hand gets squarely on the back of the shaft, and it feels like the right hand holds the handle in the palm and gives support to the shaft at impact. The golf club passes over the hands as they describe, which enhances the upper arm bone rotation, a power rotation. This results in the classic wrist, hand postion at impact that is seen in pro swings. A feel would be that the hands flip over in front of the right thigh, and this puts the hands and wrists in the correct position when the clubface catches the golf ball.
Spot on! Money! Could you do a video on the hip out racing the arms (not necessarily a spin out) creating a gap between the right elbow and the upper body? Any drills for timing the sequence?
loving these videos
Another great video! This is one of the few channels that show how the arms really work.
It’s kind of a big deal 😊. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻💯
OK, wow, the big reveal for me was club head behind the hands until below the hands AND the swing occurs on the trail side of the body! Had to go into the garage and try a bunch...seems fantastic and very different from what I have been doing. Can't wait to take this to the range! (and then the course). It's 100% what I needed to hear and now learn! Thanks!
Excellent explanation.
What a great video. The segment at 11 minutes is like a super medicine--it cures so many things, Better balance, better hand path, better finish, better compression. Took 2 or 3 swings to get into this position the right way and after that the results were great. I stopped feeling so awkward at the end of the swing and the ball flight was not too high and not too low and really ripped. Very nice work--thanks.
You guys should be on the golf channel on cable TV. I just started to figure out what my arms should be doing with my rotation and this video literally showed what I was doing right. Keep up the great work.
Saying you guys are the best golf content out there would be a massive understatement!! AMAZING!!
Love it. New subscriber here, and I love the channel so far.
This is why I love the Justin Rose drill. Great video boys.
Started to feel my swing this way for 1 week and then youtube gave me this video. Great content guys!
Great info and demo! I'm going to try this on the range today.
Let us know how it goes👊
Have fun!!
Great video. I'm glad I found your channel. New subscriber
The best golf channel. Thanks
Great video! How does this concept carry over to putting, where the hands seem to stay around the center of the body?
Always fantastic guys. The arm lowering move can feel like the face is a bit open and I know the pivot helps square but can you do a subsequent video on how the ground forces can help what you’ve talked about here marry the pivot and this move. Because obviously we have to have the recenter move happen prior to the top of the back swing. This arm lowering and pivot is driven by force from lead legs, right?
Thank you so much!
