Another incredible tutorial. Your videos introduced me to Affinity. I am always impressed how easy it is to follow your videos. Very in depth and engaging. Thanks for another great one.
Thank you, especially for nodes tips and shape building. I’ve normally used boolean operations for add and subtract. So finding out about shape building is a game changer for me.
Thank you so much, for this great tutorial - I'm a big fan of making pattern for my scrapbook albums - I follow the houndstooth tuto and it works well for me - now I want to make the other pattern like vichicaro, as shown in your video at the end but I dont know how to do it with the smal blue stripes because there are some white stripes in between. If you have a little free time, I really appriciate a video with this vichypattern. Thanks Bridget - and enjoy the weekend
Thanks for watching! So the white stripes are actually not white they are transparent. So don't worry about creating that just concentrate on the blue stripes
Thank you for your quick answer - I did anything wrong but I don't know what 😞I will try it tomorrow again. I will have a look at YT for an other video for gingham with little stripes - the simple one I have create it some weeks ago. Thank Bridget
Just think of creating the gingham pattern exactly the same way as we did with houndstooth. But on the top right and bottom left you will create the blue stripes only. Then using the shape builder tool you will cut off the excess length of the blue Stripes.
Good Morning ArtistWright, I'm still sitting at my computer and start again with the gingham, when I will have success, then I come back and inform you. Sorry for my english, I'm german but I will do my best. happy sunday Bridget
Quite nice and useful video! I have a question: how do you transfer/export some styles from Mac's library to iPad? I've made some styles with images in a Mac and I want those same styles into my iPad library. Do you know hot to do that? Is it possible?
Cheers! You can export styles from the styles tab. It will then be in an .afstyles file. Try and install that on your iPad . Perhaps drag it onto the iPad or email it to yourself and download it on the iPad from there (I don't actually own an iPad so can't help further than that)
This is very useful Can any pattern like Any fabric pattern be made in affinity? Great video love the teaching method I mean there's no way anyone could get this wrong it does look time consuming but well worth the effort thank you
Thank you so much Sky! Yes I don't think there is a limit to what you can create really. I appreciate it, oh and ofcourse you can create all this alot faster if you aren't teaching it at the same time 😂
It might be hidden if your screen is small. Look for an arrow to expand the options. Otherwise check out customise toolbar and drag separate curves into your toolbar

This is great. Do you have any tutorials on adjusting exiting patterns to tailor them to your body to cut from a projector?
Thank you, no I don't. I'm not a fashion designer or anything like that so haven't ventured into that Territory yet

Hi, Does the Older version has Shape Builder menu as well?
Affinity Designer V2 has the shape builder. Not in V1
Could you please help me locate the Separate Curves tool? It doesn’t seem to be appearing on my screen.
It might be hidden if your screen is small. Look for an arrow to expand the options. Otherwise check out customise toolbar and drag separate curves into your toolbar
@@ArtistWright I found it, thank you.😃😃
Most excellent
Why Is there no way to automatically "copy" a drawn picture to vector? So you don't have to do the design twice.
I don't know why, but there are solutions outside of affinity for that
anyone know where i can download tshirt mockups as svg (not as a img) for free?
Why not make your own
@@ArtistWright time consuming :) just want to test things out
@@ArtistWright btw thanks for your videos, they´re great, i hope you earn at least some money for it
@@bernardsorel8895 I understand
