@@MrFizzygas yes I can certainly say its very different on the iPad. I've seen a few tutorials out there for it though. I'll for sure be doing some tutorials myself when I get one
Late to the party but really appreciate this! I've loved some of the minimalist designs I can do with AD but have had trouble adding shading and texture. This is lights out, thank you!
I just found your channel and just wanted to say thank you for all the tutorials, they’re going to be extremely helpful in learning affinity. I feel like there’s not too many tutorials out there on affinity so thanks for taking the time to make these!
Thank you so much for this. I'm a traditional media artist, just learning about vector graphics and have recently bought Affinity designer. It's an incredible program - there's a /lot/ to learn, and this is a huge help!
It's fast becoming my favourite too. I tried Illustrator many years ago - but gave up in frustration as I didn't find it very easy or intuitive (I'm talking way back to creative suite 4 here)... it put me off attempting to work digitally. In contrast, I'm finding Affinity very easy to learn, and I am loving it so far. Thanks again!
This was so cool! I starting taking a really in-depth Affinity Designer course in March. I finished it in June-lol (I know-life kept interrupting). I am the happy owner of two oranges-lol!!
I suppose in one sense, mathguy3801, your point is true. However, it might also be true that each program offers elements that satisfy a need in the individual who chooses to use a different software. Just a thought!
Hi, I purchased AD around 2 weeks ago, and just came across your video. First of all, great explanation. Am having really a hard time with pen tool, could you please give some tips and tricks to use pen tool.
I like the way you think, I guess we are creating a Frankenstein. The only problem I see with this way of creating is, if you scale the final image up afterwards the texture will pixelate, so it's best to work at the largest scale you want the image to be.
Thanks for this great video! I'm new to Affinity, and learned a lot from this one Tutorial. I liked that it was an actual example, not just tips. So then we can see everything in context, and get a full picture. :)
Thank you so much for this. Amazing results by using the right tools. The only downside I see is making use of the pixel persona. If the export will have to be vectors, scaling will be an issue and file size will be big as well. Is there anyway to get around this?
Thanks! you are right, scaling up will be a problem when there are raster elements, and size will be bigger for sure. As far as I can see there isn't a way around this unless you use a proper vector brush.
@@ArtistWright Thank you so much for the feedback. I'll have a look into vector brushes and see if I can find more of those. Regardless, your technique is very helpful, so thank you for sharing!
