Wow that was on my mind too. I expressed to new lights how 12 man activities were like taking a ticket in line waiting for a chance to kill enemies. You didn't know what was your kill count. Man if this wasn't fixed before the first GM, SABER, we could have stories about how entire teams wiped from it. The instadeath electric traps
It stinks that theres already a rocket launcher named Truth. I would've loved to see them name the sword that combined Eager edge from both Half Truth and the other Half, "The Truth"
I also liked that when you had a shotgun-heavy GL hybrid and shot at your feet, you would start the Destiny 2 Space Program and launch straight through the stratosphere
I also think something to consider is bungie giving us some OP weapons in PVE from time to time to just have fun with it. I had the most fun this weekend that I have ever had in the game. Yes it broke the game a bit, but part of the fun of it was seeing what the AI would do when confronted with “the funny guns.” I want to have the amount of fun I had this weekend not just be a one off thing but for bungie to find a way to let us have that amount of fun without it breaking EVERYTHING as well.
If i learned anything, bungie needs to make some crazy modifiers for activities. Melting enemies solo in GMs was fun, but there was also a risk of getting melted yourself. I've never done a GM because needing 5 mags to kill one red bar never seemed fun to me. But this felt balanced in a way. I didn't end up finishing it, but what i did try was still challenging.
The most fun weekend I've had for awhile. I was originally bummed out since I didn't earn an igneous before and wanted to get one really bad but everyone of course were using the glitched weapons. In the end I just embraced it (shoutout to shotgun austringer) and ended up getting flalwless and an adept igneous hammer lol. People shouldn't take games so seriously and loosen up a little sometimes.
I think its telling that for a lot of players, myself included, this weekend was the most fun it has been in a long time. This community takes things way to seriously in a game where we are essentially space liches shooting aliens, and we need more moments in the game like this where we just explore the fun opportunities that can happen. Im still waoting for Bungie to make a Mayhem week where they let you equip max Exotics and jlhave abilities supercharged to constantly refill.

Literally haven't picked up destiny in months and prob won't again till the next DLC but this glitch had me on and having a blast. Copped an adept igneous and went wild in quickplay I felt like I was 15 again

Idgaf if people are mad about the glitch. I have arthritis, my hand eye coordination is garbage, and I was finally able to do a legendary lost sector and got a Crota kill. I didn’t PvP though so I guess it didn’t affect anyone
I only have the Ammit AR2 with aggressive frame and it works for me. I havent played enough to unlock hardly anything else to try any different combos. Still pretty fun though.
I haven't touched Destiny since last Wed, because I saw some people talking about a crazy glitch happening and that servers would be rolled back. I had no idea this was what everyone was talking about.
The craziest thing is that this from all we know has been a thing since witch queen added crafted weapons lol, too bad we didn't get it until after final shape lol (after raid, I'm not that evil)
They broke the Ammit that I normally use. Incandescent won't work. The perk is there when you inspect the weapon but it doesn't appear when hovering over it.
this reminded me that ive still never gotten the laser tag emblem. i played the game constantly during that whole fiasco, melting everyone in crucible(vice versa) and everyone got to rock the cool emblem but me :(
This is the first Destiny glitch that I have ever participated in. It allowed me to finally get Wishender. I also had fun playing around with these broken weapons in a bunch of PvE activities. Bungie was smart to let us have our fun for 1 weekend.
I slipped into the Relic last night, just in time to get the banner saying "yeah we're disabling frames and perks", but BEFORE the servers got shut off.... Managed to craft a Come to Pass with Aggressive, so I'm curious to see if I'll get an emblem, if they release one...
What was really wild was the fact that aside this bug was occuring... Another bug was happening where PS4 and PS5 players can play Destiny 2 without PS+, it was genuine fun to be able to not be limited to a Free-To-Try model and actually enjoy the game like how PS3 players can enjoy Destiny. The sad thing is as of today's fix not only struck the crafting glitch, but they fixed the all activities that allowed normal PS4 and PS5 players to require PS+ again. I was really gonna stick around because of the bug, but the bug fix just pushes away players that sought this Free to Play model.
I'm so glad I could play this weekend. Getting the timing down for the glitch was a pain but the fun I had was out of this world. We did a master VoG in 2 hours with every challenge done. Encounters would break while doing them. Literal mechanics would no longer work and just give us the clear.

Honestly, it was one of the most fun weekends I’ve ever had as a Destinyplayer. Just pure, unhinged mayhem in trials. Moronic fun with the movement. DPS in PvE to the moon and back. It. was. awesome!
I sadly couldn't get this to work on my PS5. I know it could work there but I couldn't get it to. Really funny that it happened. Sucks that it made a damaging impact on PVP but this kind of screw up is just fun in its own way. Just a bit of chaos shaking things up in an increasingly mundane game. Honestly good on bungie for letting people enjoy it for a time, even if I wasn't one of them.
This was a total blast. I totally get why people are mad, my friend who worked for two months to get her solo nezarec kill was pissed about the bug making her hard work seem worthless, but at the end of the day, it’s impossible to build a game with no bugs, especially when the game is literally 7 years old. I enjoyed it because it drastically changed the way we play the game, and that was enough for me to enjoy the game in a whole new way.

First time I've played Destiny since last December. I even bought Lightfall Deluxe Edition. I'm sure I wasn't the only one. They probably saw the money piling in and decided to give it another day 😅. Best time I've had playing Destiny literally ever.
Some people think the prestige of solo flawless dungeon/ trial flawless emblem will be tarnished by this bug because they think that emblem makes them better at the game than those that do not have them. Therefore for a not skilled player to also have the emblem is somehow an insult to their achievements. I think it is a strange mindset considering you can buy both of them with money through recovery services. And for those that claim that they get theirs legit, how many of them actually played themselves? My point is those emblems are in fact worthless to others. But they are invaluable to the players themselves, because they are memorials for the time you spent on getting certain things in game. Unlike the world’s fist belt, it is not a prove of skill or authority at the game you play. When I look at my day-1 emblems I think of the time when I play for 20 hours nonstop with my friends, some of whom already quitted the game. I can even vividly remember some of the clutch moments and the joy and the happiness when we beat the raid. And some of the most torturous encounters like Atrax-1, caretaker, warpriest challenge mode. These are the things those emblems are for. Not some cheap and strange sense of superiority over those who do not have the emblems.
Most fun I've ever had in this game in both, PVP and PVE. I was getting melted in crucible and did not care one bit as I was also melting opponents. Bungie should make this a gamemode for both, PVP and PVE. I'd play the heck out of that instead of rarely touching the game as I was pre glitch.

I had been struggling to do Spire of the Watcher solo flawless. It was my last flawless of the dungeons. Turns out all I needed was a heavy grenade launcher that fired like a shotgun.
The glitched ammit was fun in trials for the first few games and a run of a gm. But, I do see where people are coming from. At the same time, this was better then Trials of the Nine laser tag weekend.
A friend of mine even reinstalled the game after leaving since Shadowkeep, I took revenge on some dungeon bosses that made me pull my hairs from soloing them. I even received some "messages" from having equipped my hareball shell saying it wasn't earned legally but I havent taken it off since I soloed Prophecy 1 year ago.
@evanf1997 this is going to sound crazy but my buddy had accidentally found this glitch about 2 weeks prior to September 15th. He had told me his bxr battler was killing abnormally fast and we went into a pm and it was 1 shooting out of well and bubble.
I only used it to killl 25 guardians for the seasonal challenge and beat spire on legend, although to be fair my ammit wasnt doing the job by itself so I had to rely on teammates for the bosses
Lets all admit it, we had fun, tons of it. My only hope is bungie took notice of how fun the community had during this weekend of glitches and try to implement something similar in future PvE content. Like a street fighter turbo style activity where everything is immensely overpowered and over the top so we can just have fun in it
Imagine if the whole projectile swapping thing and crazy effects was added fully. Toned down obvs. Sadly its bungie so theyd never do anything like this. Borderlands style destiny guns would be so cool
I did not mind the glitch at all, I got rolled in trials just trying to get carried without a weapon until I finally got one, went through all my fav raids just to melt the final boss, it’s truly been an epic weekend, idc if it hurt your feelings

People are really malding over a game. Like seriously, this has been the most fun weekend i had with destiny since 12 mans. Back then, i did EVERYTHING there could be done with a 12 man, all the way from patrol to raids. And guess what, i did the exact same thing this time, too. Each raid, each dungeon, trials, gms, gambit. I played more destiny this weekend than the 2nd half of the last season. And i had fun. I giggled like a little kid when i got it to work, instantly loaded into lfg to test it out with people.

This glitch has been widely embraced, not discouraged. All match made and lfg activities I took part in were majority glitched weapons or people sad they could get one. I honestly believe "everyone seemingly on a moral highground, acting superior about it" is a misrepresentation.

What did we learn? That Bungie seems to choose what player enhancing glitches they pounce on like a ravenous lion, and which they'll allow to happen, based on thought processes that us mere players could never hope to understand
It was a wild weekend thats for sure. I wasnt able to do the glitch but it certainly made a certain public event on neomuna much easier to deal with. I should have hopped into a dungeon or raid with someone who did enjoy the glitch haha.
I’m sorry but this was the most fun I’ve ever had in destiny. All I crafted was the aggressive Amit and just melting champs in the nightfall helped me get over all the years of them killing me and them being so overpowered. It felt great and I don’t regret it
This was fun, And even though I was a glitch abuser, my friends and I if we got into a crucible or trials match without enemies using the weapons would also unequip them to make it fun and interesting for both teams. I played one of the closest NORMAL competitive matches Ive ever had this weekend.

It was the first time in Destiny 2 that I felt like a true powerful god killing guardian! Getting payback on all those bullet sponge bosses 😊

I legit think this is the "THIS IS ROCKET LEAGUE" moment of D2 for this year xD
I did not mind the glitch at all, I got rolled in trials just trying to get carried without a weapon until I finally got one, went through all my fav raids just to melt the final boss, it’s truly been an epic weekend, idc if it hurt your feelings
I was able to crash my game with a heavy (Aggro frame) GL, with sticky nades and mulligan. 17 shots spread out sent me all the way to Destiny 3.
I believe "Sunset" is just Nightfall since things don't translate properly to other languages

Kind of wish they would've let us play with this for the first week of master crota. Was fun doing the 3 presage runs i needed to do in the same time as 1 normal one though
People are really malding over a game. Like seriously, this has been the most fun weekend i had with destiny since 12 mans. Back then, i did EVERYTHING there could be done with a 12 man, all the way from patrol to raids. And guess what, i did the exact same thing this time, too. Each raid, each dungeon, trials, gms, gambit. I played more destiny this weekend than the 2nd half of the last season. And i had fun. I giggled like a little kid when i got it to work, instantly loaded into lfg to test it out with people.
When you were going on about the tweets critiquing the bug, i already knew who one of them was instantly. His name is dolemitewariz. He’s been ridiculed for egoing in strikes before 💀 his opinion is always just engagement farming

This glitch has been widely embraced, not discouraged. All match made and lfg activities I took part in were majority glitched weapons or people sad they could get one. I honestly believe "everyone seemingly on a moral highground, acting superior about it" is a misrepresentation.

What did we learn? That Bungie seems to choose what player enhancing glitches they pounce on like a ravenous lion, and which they'll allow to happen, based on thought processes that us mere players could never hope to understand
It was a wild weekend thats for sure. I wasnt able to do the glitch but it certainly made a certain public event on neomuna much easier to deal with. I should have hopped into a dungeon or raid with someone who did enjoy the glitch haha.

I’m sorry but this was the most fun I’ve ever had in destiny. All I crafted was the aggressive Amit and just melting champs in the nightfall helped me get over all the years of them killing me and them being so overpowered. It felt great and I don’t regret it
This was fun, And even though I was a glitch abuser, my friends and I if we got into a crucible or trials match without enemies using the weapons would also unequip them to make it fun and interesting for both teams. I played one of the closest NORMAL competitive matches Ive ever had this weekend.
If we all think this moment will be a good memory in the future people will be saying remember how crafted guns were broken ? Is a quote that will be heard in the future remember my words they will come back under maybe a different form
