I wish they would make a classic version with the original beavertail, instead of the modern extended one... not to mention a PPK in .32 ACP
The pre 1969 Walters are the best
yea i don’t know why the hell they chambered it for .380
Big fan of.32 auto as well.
Bond, James Bond such a classic line and a classic firearm they did a nice job on the finish
I think this is the only gun that have not change anything for years meaning a very good pistol
I need this gun in SS ASAP!!!! wouldn't mind the black one but the SS is so darn beautiful!
Picked mine up yesterday. Everything I expected and it is a great addition to my collection.
Very nice PPK J.W and thanks for showing it to, Slim.
I had two early 70’s W. German made blued PPK/S pistols. The sharp edges on the backstrap are torture, making the PPK the only sane option. 👍👍👍👍
Outstanding video and I would love to pick one up myself
That’s a beauty for sure!
My interarms licenced ppk was the first hand gun i ever owned. I bought it when i turned 21 in 85 big james bond fan especially the sean connery years when it was a much more seriose storyline. Today i have 5 walther pistols the p99 my favorite striker fired carry gun a ppq 45acp witch is like shooting a 9mm and of course the pdp when it came on the market sweet gun i only wish i waited for the pro but there was know mention of it then so my ppq 45acp was a tactical model so a little research and the ruged obsidian 45 was the best for me it funtion on 45 and down just change of the piston and a couple of threaded barrels for my 9mms but i still have my ppk and after almost 40 years later there isn't a mark on it put a hundred rounds thrue it once a year still groups nice and is close to center.
Good find a review. It looks very nice.
Excellent presentation upon opening. Great Vid Sir.
Thank you kindly
BATJAC J.W; That is one cool/sweet looking piece BATJAC. Congratulations on your acquisition. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one. I'd prefer the Black Melonite over the brushed/shiny stainless. I'm old school, I just prefer as original as I can get.

Great video my fellow southpaw! A few days ago I ordered a Melonite PPK/s and a few other firearms - the Remington Tac 14 Hardwood etc. Really looking forward to them! - YB
Enjoy your Walther, Mr. Bond.
Pretty cool, bro !! Congrats👏
Thanks! 👍
Nice video 👍 l just bought the same gun. The only problem I had was the red dot under the safety/decocker fell off. I thought it was painted on but it may be a decal or sticker. It came off in one piece. I painted a new red dot on and it looks great.
Simply beautiful pistol!
very cool , i have the stainless one and the black PPKs , was finicky with ammo at first mine worked best with winchester white box
Carried the original Interarms for years and it served me well. Incredible accuracy for a 3 inch barrel. Moved up to the pps in .40 for better punch. But have only great things to say about the PPK.
Such a beautiful gun. If I lived in the US this would be my daily carry.
Place a thick business card between the trigger guard and frame when you are taking it apart. It helps protect the components.
That’s what missing in my life and collection. Congratulations
My dream pistol though in Europe firearm sales are very strictly controlled so must enjoy the pistol vicariously by way of reviews like your's .
I enjoyed your video. I have the stainless .22 version, but now want the 380. Now that you’ve had it for awhile, have you had any problems with scratches over time? How strong is the finish towards scratching. That’s my only concern. Thanks again.
Love that case... Its like the one Ben Whishaw (the new Q ) gave Daniel Craig in Skyfall... Just missing the radio transmitter 😀
"not exactly xmas is it?"
"what did you expect, 007 exploding pens?"
😀👍
We don't do that anymore...@@BATJACJW
Beautiful! I'd be interested to learn what the recoil is like with that fixed barrel in .380.
It's brutal the walther was designed for the 7.65 aka 32acp I have a one in 7.65 it's a sweet shooter I'd rather shoot a box of ammo out my 2in 357mag then a box of 380 out a walther
Recoil is reduced due to the blowback (fixed barrel) design.
@@joerogan5433blowback does NOT reduce recoil over a locked breech design..it INCREASES the recoil impulse
Literally the perfect carry gun
Beautiful classy pistol. At the price, however, I bought the Bersa Thunder and Thunder Plus for less than the PPK. They are more reliable. I do plan to add the PPK as a collector's item when I get an extra $800 to blow. Too expensive to EDC.
I wonder where the PPK was built in the last Bond film. Germany?
I love my old blued PPK, this new finish doesn’t look horrible but it lacks beauty.
Now all you need is a shoulder holster and a tuxedo.
Can you get a threaded barrel?
Never had a PPK but I do have a p230SL
MUCH better gun in the Sig Sauer 👍
Where did you get yours from ?
What state do you live in sir
Wish i stayed in the states
Super pistol.
I want one of these babies
WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've had two of them. They both tended to jam mid clip.
I’ve kept my black 22 PPK/S in the leather holster like the Germans used in WWII and the slide is now pitted and blotchy after just two years. Walther refuses to do anything about it. Really disappointed given the other purchase options I had and will never purchase another Walther.
Well Brain transplants are not a thing yet, so that they can't really help you out.
@@vladimirmihnev9702 Yet another failed comedian.
Looks cheap I like the blued version !
My old Agency used to issue Walther PPK/S .380's to undercover narcotics detectives & they SUCKED...lousy trigger pull..lousy sights...no slide lock...& the painful "Walther bite" which is when the rear of the slide takes a chunk of flesh off your thumb when you fire it ...plus the .380 round was terrible...one of our Detectives put three Winchester H.P. rounds into his assailant's chest at arms length and the guy ran away on foot... showing up at a Hospital the next day..
I agree about the gun, but not the .380 round. I don’t own a .380 caliber gun but it’s plenty to get the job done
Guy must have had on a vest
Had a guy on my 1st agency working a UC robbery detail double tap a guy with a Sig Sauer P230 and 90 grain hydra shoks...subject DRT! so I guess all circumstantial 🤷♂️ I wouldn't say 380 sucks from my extensive experience law enforcement and otherwise! Is there more potent? Absolutely but to say 380 sucks is a bold statement ✌
@@kevinrichardson8859 the PPK sucks...the .380 caliber is marginal...
@@kevinrichardson8859 nope
Don't forget Hitler had a PPK
You are WRONG, the new Walther are longer and only available in .380. I had a 1964 PPK in .32acp and it was a lot more compact, which is why it was banned. It would be nice to see one is .30 supercarry with a bigger capacity magazine.
The beaver tail was enlarged for LEGAL reasons, ACTUALLY.
I just threw up in my mouth.
I've had a few walthers in my hands in my sixty years pre war and war time walthers I have a first year post war manurhin 1952 imo the. French made walther the manurhin is as fine a pistol as any German made and imo the fit and finish is superior to any other licenced maker's of the. Walthers and maybe even the walther it's self
