Hi Adriana, Greetings from Malaysia. I love this recipe very2 much. Have been baking it over n over again. In fact, I have just finished baking 2 loaves tonight. Tqvm for this tasty and delicious bread. I sometimes eat it with strawberries.
Hi Adriana this is amazingly scrumptious. I used very dark cacao powder and walnut and still it came out great. Thanks and keep coming up with these mouth watering recipes. Now I know each of my friends would be receiving your cookbook as presents. Perfection:)
I'm watching this while I'm hungry! Please come and make it for me hahahahahaha! This is getting made. Since there are so many healthy ingredients in this...im pretty sure you could have it for breakfast 🤔
Hello Adriana, your recipes are very lovely and healthier alternatives to baking with processed flours and sugars. For your recipes which call for the use of egg, how may i omit it completely and replace it with what, as I have a dear friend who doesn't eat eggs at all so kindly share a substitute dear so I can prepare your recipes. Thank you.
Hi Roxanne, thank you for your kind words. Omitting eggs in baked goods change the texture and makes the product more dense, or maybe more crumbly if the egg is added as a binder. In this recipe you can omit the egg since the avocado will help bind the ingredients.
Hi Valdemar, I think adding a banana here may have added too much moisture to the batter. I think if you make it without the egg the recipe may still turn out. I've made my Avocado Banana Bread recipe without the egg and it worked so this recipe may work too.
Thanks Prax 😊 Several people made my recipe keto-friendly by substituting the honey for Swerve or monk fruit sweetener. You can read their reviews on my blog, in the comments section below the recipe.
Living Healthy With Chocolate Thank you so much! I knew would substitute the honey with swerve but I didn't know what to do with the cacao. I will put up a pic when I make it.
Hi Curt, it should be fine to freeze my recipes and this bread. I usually don't have any leftovers but I don't see why it would be a problem to freeze and defrost later. Hope you try it and please let me know how it goes.
Tried it avocado left horrible after taste but I did find that garlic salt actually kills the avocado flavor and actually don't taste the garlic salt either they cancel each other out and it's like your eating chocolate cake. I learned about the garlic salt trick when making avocado and diced tomato stuffed jalapeno wrapped in bacon they are great
Thank you so much for the tip James!! I will be trying this for sure! Some avocados do give a bitter aftertaste when baking with them. I find that Hass avocados do not and that is what I use.
That chocolate bread looks way beyond AMAZING😄and perfect for my Paleo Diet...Except I am totally allergic to yummy avocado and could eat those everyday😔:( Always SO ENJOY your recipes!!!

I've been waiting for your videos lol. I just want to know if there's a specific avocado that you used? (here we have the small ones and the Mexican large ones)
Hi RemStell! I use the small variety in this recipe. I don't know exactly which one it is because it's from my neighbor's tree. If you try making the recipe with the one you have please let me know how it goes.
hi. I'm from India. i won't eat egg. can u pls tell me clearly . instead of eggs wat I can use. and also I hv oly mixer , nt d machine wic u hv. can I use my normal mixer to do. I don't have oven too
The problem with substituting the eggs for something else in baked goods is that the texture completely changes. Some substitutes you can experiment with are below. These may do a good job binding the ingredients at least. You can try using flax or chia seeds: (3 Tablespoons water with 1 Tablespoon ground flax or chia seeds = 1 egg). Some people have told me they’ve been having good luck with per each egg needed up to 3 eggs: -1tbs baking powder, -1 tbs water, and -1 tbs white vinegar mixed together and added to the other ingredients.
You can buy coconut cream in can, or you can place a can of full fat coconut milk in the fridge overnight and scoop the solid cream that separates from the water. I have more info on my website in the recipe box.
Thanks! "Flax" or "chia" eggs work well also to bind the ingredients, but it does change the texture quite a bit usually making baked goods more dense. But if you can’t have eggs, I think it’s a great option. I hope you try it and please let me know how it goes. 3 T water + 1 T ground flax or chia seeds = 1 egg.
Substitutions will give the recipe a different texture. But you can try using any other finely ground nut or seed flour, or an oat flour (adding less because oat flour is different)
Can your husband have seeds? You could substitute a seed flour for the almond flour. Pumpkin or sunflower seed works good and you can make your own at home. The process is easy and the same for making almond flour. I have a video tutorial in the link below. You can also use oat flour or a gluten free flour, but you'd need to add less since they are drier than almond flour.
Coconut milk is not as thick, but most cans of full fat coconut milk will give you the cream after you chill the can for a few hours in the fridge. If you use the milk, add a little less so you're not adding too much moisture to the batter.
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate Thanks! I now have all the ingredients, but my husband doesn't like the taste of coconut, so I was hoping the taste wasn't very prominent.

I highly suggest you make the recipe using the ingredients I added in the recipe. Is there a reason why you'd want to substitute it? Please let me know so I can give you specifics suggestions.
Hi Paravastu, you can use cocoa powder instead. Cocoa is darker in color and also has a different flavor that is not as mild and is more bitter than raw cacao powder. So your bread will be darker and you may need to adjust how much sweetener you add. I suggest you taste the batter and add more sweeter to taste.
Rajaa Alalawi Yes! Just use a little less Agave Nectar since it is very very sweet and has a lot more sugar than honey. Agave nectar is so amazing but you gotta watch how much you use due to the high sugar content in such a small amount.
Hi Hala, oat flour may make it denser but it also works. One of my readers made it with oat flour and left a review and photo in the comments on my blog. You can find it below the recipe.
My wife can't eat sugar and it's better for her if I use 100% unsweetened chocolate. But that would require some honey. How much honey would you recommend?
