    I made it yesterday and it is all gone, I ate the most of it (crying here). So tasty, thank you so much for the recipe. No one believed that it was made without any grains in it! I put a bit more walnuts, 2 apples instead of one, no caramel and less sugar:-). O ya, and I baked it in 8x8 baking pan for 35 min. Yummy, will definitely make it again.

      Try it with her caramel sauce! It’s so good! Makes this recipe decadent. Not overly sweet or qooey.. nothing like caramel sauce you’d typically think of. (It really should have another name.)

    I’ve made this several times and we love it! It’s so great to find a treat that’s so tasty and still healthy.
    It definitely does not make me think of warm apple pie, but that doesn’t take away from how delicious it is.

    that was so amazing, I used flax and chia egg, 1/2 cup walnuts, only sweetener was raisins and dried cherries, i also used 3 tsp agave for the top filling, this is now one of my favourite desserts.

    Hi there, this recipe looks AMAZING. I was just wondering if there was anything I could substitute the eggs with that would still make this bread taste good? My aunt can't have gluten or eggs but i think she'd absolutely love this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and Happy Holidays :)

    • @Livinghealthywithchocolate
      @Livinghealthywithchocolate  7 років тому

      Hi Danielle, it’s really hard to substitute the eggs in grains-free baked goods and get the right texture. However, you can use flax or chia eggs as a replacement. Let me know how it goes please.
      (3 T water + 1 T ground flax seed or chia seeds = 1 egg)

    Hi, thanks for the lovely recipe.
    Could I use buckwheat flour instead.

    • @Livinghealthywithchocolate
      @Livinghealthywithchocolate  4 роки тому +1

      Buckwheat has different properties and if you want to try it in this recipe I would add less then the recipe calls for for flour.

    • @Livinghealthywithchocolate
      @Livinghealthywithchocolate  4 роки тому

      Olive oil may also work but it has a distinct taste. Butter also works if you can have dairy. Baking powder works as well but you'll need to add 2 to 3x the amount called for baking soda.

    I have made this delicious bread several times, but it falls apart, What can I do?

    • @Livinghealthywithchocolate
      @Livinghealthywithchocolate  Рік тому +1

      Hi Christian, if it falls apart for you it may be because you're not measuring the ingredients precisely or most important, the almond flour you're using is too coarse. If you think this is the problem you can try switching brands or sieving the flour to remove any larger chunks. You need the flour to be finely ground so the other ingredients have something to bind to. Please keep me posted.

    • @Livinghealthywithchocolate
      @Livinghealthywithchocolate  4 роки тому

      Thanks! There are many companies that harvest the almonds sustainably. With that said, you could use another nut flour. Taste and texture will be different but still good.

    I have all the engredients except coco flour, any substitute for coco flour

    • @Livinghealthywithchocolate
      @Livinghealthywithchocolate  5 років тому

      Coconut flour has a very particular property in baking so if you can it's best not to substitute it. But since this recipe only uses 1 tbsp you could try adding an extra 1/4 cup of almond flour instead.

    • @Choppini
      @Choppini 5 років тому

      @@Livinghealthywithchocolate I do substitute each egg with 1 tblsp. finely ground (homemade) golden flax seed/2 tblsp. warm water. Since I am not keen on the coconut flavor, I use often tapioca starch instead, which helps also as binding agent. Maybe this helps

    • @Livinghealthywithchocolate

      yes, but those flours are drier and more absorbant so you'll need to add less.

    • @Livinghealthywithchocolate
      @Livinghealthywithchocolate  5 років тому +3

      Almond milk is not as high in fat and it may add extra moistness to the recipe so I suggest adding a little less than coconut milk.
