I would like to watch a recipe with cherrys :D
ummmm cherries! Great idea for a new video! I have some recipes using cherries on my blog. Hope you check it out :)
I made a strawberry chocolate cake based on this recipe from yours for my hubby's birthday which was on Valentines day as well:-) It was successful and we both fell in love with the taste! Thank you so much again for sharing this amazing cake recipe♡
P.S posted some pictures on Instagram ** :-)
I'm so happy you liked it! Did you add the same amount of strawberries the recipe calls for blueberries? Could you taste the strawberries in the cake? Would love it if you posted your photo my blog. You can post it in the comments below the recipe 😊
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate
Yes, I did add the same amount as you suggested. it didn't taste the strawberries as much as I expected but surprisingly tasted the strawberries in the cake when I tasted again after keeping the cake in refrigerated until it cooled down, even more tasty!!! Just posted the picture your blog :)
OMG I am sooo head over heels happy to have found your channel...i have watched tons of your videos in one day. I want to make everything in one day lol. You should open your own bakery :)
Thank you so much for the kind words and message! Hope you make something soon and please keep me posted!
Living Healthy With Chocolate will do for sure
hey Adriana! I was going through your cookbook and found the ice cream recipes super interesting! I was just wondering if it would be possible for meet replace the full fat coconut milk with powdered coconut milk?
Hi Alina, thanks! I never tried using coconut milk powder to make the milk for ice cream. My initial thought it that the milk you make may not be as high in fat which may make your ice cream not so creamy. With that said, think it will still taste great! Let me know how it goes if you try it.
Beat the egg with the sugar can definitely hold the bubbles much better! You may try it next time~
Thanks for the tip!
I made this today... Thank you for this recipe only I would like to know if I can use other fruit aside blueberry... It was yummy!...☺
Hi Silvia, yes you can use other fruits as well and each will give a unique taste to this cake. I'm happy to know you like the recipe 😊
+Living Healthy With Chocolate
Thank you for replying me. What kind of others fruits I can make it, please? I've just found your website and pinterest - I joined them. This is my first time I made it... I do like your channel... All the best for you...☺
Thank you for the wonderful recipe!
What can I replace eggs with?
Pls do reply, TIA :)
Eggs play a huge role in baking and any time you substitute it it changes the texture of the product. With that said, I think the best substitute would be aquafaba, but you can also do the flax and water mixture to bind the ingredients.
Have you ever tried making the cake with other flours besides almond. I was curious what else you could substitute it with since I can not eat almonds. Or maybe I could use coconut flour and something else. Any suggestions would help.
Hi Olivia, can you have any other type of nuts? Maybe cashew or hazelnut flour would be good too. If nuts are not an option you could try using seeds flour from pumpkin or sunflower seed. Also a gluten-free oat flour may work. With each of these flours the taste and texture will be different. Please let me know if this helps.
Hi, i am also interested on how to substitute the almond flour. More precise, can i use more coconut flower instead? Has anyone tried? And how much>? Coconut flower is much denser ..i've had some bad baking experiments because of it.
That looks awesome. Can we substitute the egg with chia seed or flax meal?
Substituting the eggs will give you a different texture but the egg substitute will be good enough to act as a binder.
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate thank you so much for the advice..really appreciate it! ❤
Hello, does the frosting or cake taste anything like coconut?? Thank you, it looks amazing!!!
+Yolanda Dobler You can not taste the coconut in the cake or the frosting. But if you can eat dairy, you can substitute the coconut milk with heavy cream and the coconut oil with melted butter. Substituting the coconut flour is a little tricky, but you could try using tapioca startch instead.
Thanks so much, I don't have heavy cream but I do have Whole Raw Milk. Would that work?
+Yolanda Dobler Whole raw milk works well too! Please let me know how it turns out :)
Hi there, may I ask what can I use for sweet beside coconut sugar? Can I use raw home or maple syrup and how much should I use if yes? Thanks! :)
Hi Piya, it's best you if you don't use a liquid sweetener instead so you don't add moisture to the cake. With that said, you can make this substitution and use maple syrup or honey. These are a bit sweeter than coconut sugar so use a little less and maybe add a little more flour as well.
Thank you for your reply. :)
I think this will be my birthday cake at the end of this month 🤤😊 OR the chocolate coconut 🤤 OR BOTH! 🤣
WAIT... or the chocolate orange marble cake 🤔
Happy birthday Valerie!!
Yum looks amazing! I love your accent! Where are you from?
Thanks! Hope you make it soon! I grew up in Brazil.
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate it was the best chocolate cake! Even my husband who is not paleo loved it! I will definitely be making this again, especially for special occasions! 😋
Hi! This cake looks incredible, I will be trying this tomorrow! But quick question - can I skip the blueberry from the cake batter?
What can I use as a substitute for apple cider vinegar or can I skip this?
Hi! Did you make the cake? How did it tun out and did you make any substitutions?
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate Hi!! Yes I did and it came out really well! I went ahead with the blueberries but used white vinegar instead of the apple cider, came out moist and soft! Thank you!
I am am making this cake so can you use regular flour
Hi Shania, all purpose flour is drier than almond flour so if you want to make this substitution you need to adjust the amount of moisture added to the recipe. You could try adding a 1/2 cup of coconut milk and eliminating the coconut flour. Let me know how it goes if you try it.
Hey. Cake looks amazing. One question though. Can i use raspberries instead of blueberries. Cause in india we dont get blueberries.
Raspberries will probably also work but since they are not as sweet you may need to add more sweetener. Please let me know how it goes if you try it.
Hey :) May I use buckwheat flour?
Hi Asya, I never baked this cake with buckwheat but it may work as well. Please let me know how it goes if you try it.
Hi I want to try this but the recipe is in cup but I live in the Netherlands there we have grams... can you tell me how much grams I need?
I'll see if I can weight it all out soon, but I also highly recommend you get a set of measuring spoons and cups since so many recipes use them.
How to make almond flour? Can I use oat flour instead of almond flour? Also, I cannot find coconut sugar.. is it ok to use brown sugar or any other suggestion? Thank you for the great video
You can make almond flour by first removing the skin and then processing in a food processor into fine meal. The problem is that when making it at home, the texture is never fine enough. This will give you a denser and more crumbly texture when you bake with it. The brands of almond flour I recommend are by Honeyville or Welbees. I have a link to them on my blog and you can order them online. You can try using oat flour. I think it will work, but I haven't tried it. Brown sugar works well in place of coconut sugar.
Thank you. I will try it soon and let you know
Hi, thanks for sharing a healthy and easy chocolate cake recipe. Can I substitute blueberries with strawberries? Wanna make one for my husband's birthday who loves strawberries:-)
I think if you strawberries the cake will also turn out great. If you try it please let me know how it goes and please wish your husband a happy birthday.
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate I promise I will :-) and thanks for your kind wish♡
Can I use regular milk instead of coconut milk?
You can but be sure it's whole milk or heavy cream.
can substitute the coconut milk for anything?
Sabira, if you can have dairy have cream works great as a substitute.
Living Healthy With Chocolate brilliant I'll definitely try, thanks for replying :)
Nice recipe! gonna try that one tonight. ;)
But it's not dairy free since you use eggs :p
For anyone looking for egg replacement use arrow root powder or chiaseeds or extra baking soda.
Cheers
Hi Kevin, thanks and I hope you like the cake! Eggs are dairy free. They come chickens which are birds, not mammals 😉
+Living Healthy With Chocolate
Cool I didn't know that. I looked it up and your right.
Eggs are classified as dairy in major supermarkets because, in terms of how they need to be handled and kept .
This is why I was confused lol.
The cake turned out ok... maybe next time I should add more berries.
Good luck with your channel.
At the end you look like Barbra Streisand from what's up doc ? Haha
Can I use the almond milk instead of coconut milk?
Almond milk is not as high in fat so add less than the recipe calls for.
Living Healthy With Chocolate thank you❤️
I love grain free dairy free gluten free cake but I don’t eat eggs so please tell me what’s the substitute of eggs
Try using aquafaba Asha. The texture will be different but it might turn out OK.
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate thank you. once’s I tried i will give my feedback about aquafaba
His face starting at 6:03....😂🤣. Maybe the cake isn't all that delicious? 🤣😂 I'm going to try this recipe though. Thanks.
My husband is not very good on camera 🙄But the cake is really delicious. You should try it. Please let me know how it goes after you make it and share a photo of your cake with me. You can post your photo on my blog, in the comments below the recipe.

why dislike
Thanks!
Why eggs why....... please make a vegan version you don't need to use eggs or honey
Efi, I am not Vegan, but all my recipes can be easily adapted to be vegan. One of the best eggs substitutes are “flax or chia eggs”. These will give you a denser texture in baking, but they will help bind the ingredients.
-> 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed meal or chia seeds mixed with 3 tablespoons of water or another liquid replaces 1 egg. As for the honey, the best substitutes are another liquid sweetener. My favorite is maple syrup.
You used the whole egg in the recipe right? (I haven't been consuming eggs for about 10 years, so I am not sure according to the video) lol although it seems like...
Yes, I do use whole eggs.
That's the problem.... You don't need to use eggs :-)
Living Healthy With Chocolate fake blonde bimbo
what if i mix the yolks into cake batter and whip the whites until stiff peak and fold the whites into batter ? do you think it is gonna work ?
Hi Hangga, I think it will work as well but I haven't tried it. Please let me know how it goes.
Can I use almond milk instead of coconut milk?
it will probably work as well with almond milk, but because it's not as high in fat I would try adding less. If you try it please let me know how it goes.
