In truth, the established facts of this case point to the opposite conclusion. Christopher Sutton's fate, residing in a maximum security prison he will only leave in a body bag, did not come about due to good parenting!

He was adopted at just a few days old - newborn babies are not 'monsters'. As a tiny baby, he had the potential to develop well.
It is beyond ironic John Sutton refuses to take any responsibility for the way his son turned out, the fact he hated him and his late wife so much he sent a hit man to kill them, and finally, the dire situation he's in now - locked in a high security prison, with no hope of parole.

Please try to keep your morals out of it when looking at this case. Look at the many factors that contributed to the crime. Like his innate anger stemming maybe from separation from his parents? Or maybe just anger at having to follow the rules both in the home and socially. To me it looks like a spoiled kid who has what is known as EAD. Explosive Disorder. And probably some other kind of mental issue. Please don’t get me wrong, this kid deserves whatever punishment he ended up getting, but he also needs treatment for whatever is going on there. And Karma can have him as far as I’m concerned. I only took issue with the word *adultery*, because it implies religion. Which is fine as long as you apply those standards to every other crime that’s similar to this one. There are plenty of these where the victims are innocent of any wrongdoing. What about them? By your standards, they must have done something wrong to deserve it. You can’t blame the victims or victim this includes the perpetrator. Sorry for the rant, but so many times I’ve seen in my field of employment (sergeant of sizable city in the Midwest not too far from Chicago 23 years yea). Obviously this is just my humble sort of educated lol opinion. Have a good day everyone and stay safe out there!
Edit * I completely forgot to mention GREED as a factor.

With that being said, there is part of the story not being told.
Sending you teenager 7000 miles away is not the norm. That facility looked sketchy as f*ck.
Turning 18 and being forced to stay another year broke this kid.
I am not making excuses for what he did! He had a whole year to let that disappointment and helplessness fester into hate and rage and then he did the unthinkable.
Makes me wonder if things could have been differently with another outcome 😔

But I think the camp/school contributed to the man he turned out to be. He said that he was kidnapped not “sent away to boarding school”. Which is very reminiscent of what Paris Hilton said about that “boarding school” she was sent to too.
Adopted children need years of counseling and therapy from a very young age. Not a “boarding school” (in a different country, no less). I think it just made him feel abandoned all over again.

Possibly even to himself in his own mind. What he really wanted was his inheritance. Money to fund his lifestyle. He was a spoiled brat used to getting what he wanted and his parents were about to cut him off. I remember watching this trial on TV live and thinking the same thing. Oh and P.S. what the heck was this lawyer thinking by letting his client testify in their own murder case? Especially a client so abrasive and hard to like as this clown! Just ridiculous. Being wealthy doesnt = good parents. Also, biological children commit these types of crimes too. There are ppl in the comments stating how they provided him with everything and he was just spoiled, greedy and ungrateful but these character traits are usually mirrored from within the environment that fosters it. In no way did his parents deserve this. Chis is exactly where he belongs. However, sometimes there are many factors at play that lead up to such a horror. Teens behave badly and act out usually as a cry for attention . It's too easy to just blame it on the fact that there was something wrong with Chis from the beginning bcus he was adopted.
