Dear reader, if you had a bad day, just remember. Be thankful that you are not in jail awaiting trial for murder, be thankful that someone isn't plotting your murder. Your life could be a LOT worse than it is right now.

It's telling that you think being in jail, alive, being housed, and fed is MUCH WORSE than anything else that could possibly happen to someone. To start off, the VICTIMS and their families are WORSE off than the guy in jail. Even if they get the death penalty, that doesn't fix or heal their pain/loss. This is simple stuff, k? I know this story very well. I grew up in this area. Tyjohn is from my neighbor. He went to school with my niece. Karen worked at our local corner store. I've had many conversations with her. She was always a pleasant person to talk to. You never truly know who you are engaging with. This is a sad story. To know that I looked at a future murderer on a frequent basis gives me the creeps!
If Lynn received 7.5 years then Mr. Cooper shouldn’t have gotten life. He wasn’t at the scene, didn’t kill or plan to kill Mr. Tobie, so he shouldn’t have gotten life for overcharging her for a gun. Because that’s what his sentence amounts to.
Guess what, he is a black man, and blacks do get harsh sentences, always. It is crazy, he only provided the gun, IMO Lynne was the one who pulls the trigger.
That is why you do not assist anyone in procuring weapons. You want it from the hood, you go to the hood and procure it. Do not get involved with people's shenanigans. My people should know better.
He was already on parole from prison....so he should have known to keep his hands clean. Sorry, and this is coming from myself a black man...not to mention he assaulted his gf while out on parole....breaking her wrist.....let's not act like any of them are angels in this
John's mom holds a key material of whom could have pulled the trigger. She was the one who went to the door at first and should tell the court as to whether it was a male or female voice that asked for John. That will certainly shed light on who pulled the trigger and perhaps have the perpetrators face a long sentence. I believe Lynn got away with much more.
Yeah that is exactly what I was thinking...Other than the re_enactment of when they showed his mother answering the door, it didn't appear to be brought up. Am I crazy? Did they just not show us this part or I don't understand. His mother would've been THE ONLY PERSON who could have at the very least, pointed out who most likely pulled the trigger. In my opinion, Tysjohaun was convicted with extreme reasonable doubt! Where in the actual fk do they get these clownshows for jurors?? I am a true crime junkie and I would never go with jury trial. I've seen more than enough ppl get wrongfully convicted only to later be proven not guilty after the fact because of ppl convicting without concrete proof. Shame.

Not having watched the trial or knowing all of the evidence, but just based on what I saw on this show, this would be my take on the case. Lynn took full advantage of Karen. Motive... the baby!! This had nothing to do with money or abuse. It all had to do with getting that baby. Karen, in her drug and alcohol stupor, could have inadvertently mentioned something about wishing he was dead or had heard a story of this nature and absolutely meaning nothing by it, set off an idea in Lynn's head. Lynn then could have started obsessing on the idea and actually carried it out. Using the "The first one to spill the beans gets the best deal" to her advantage, as well!! Using Karen and Ty as scapegoats. I really don't think that Ty knew what was going on. He seen an opportunity to make a huge profit and so he did it. He unfortunately, didn't give it any thought, I don't think. Many people work that way. Don't think about anything other than what''s going on in the moment. Don't question anything, don't suspect anything. Let's learn some positives from this case. Always question EVERYTHING! Don't become a Karen and be a drug and alcohol sponge to be taken advantage of. In my opinion, Lynn got 7 years for cold blooded murder. She was the lone conspirator. BTW... my adopted mother went to great lengths to get my child from me. Not to this extent, but this is how I know what lengths people would go to in order to get a child they appear to love and want to keep.
Couldn't have said it better. Agree 1000%. Lynne Blake is guilty as sin!!! The sentences should have been swopped. Tysjohaun Cooper did it strictly for the money & wasn't complicit in the murder. He was fed the story that they (Lyn & Karen) apparently needed the gun for protection. However when he handed over the gun, he ONLY met with Lynne. She (and only she) was the mastermind. Karen was just easy to manipulate, being spaced out 24/7.
And then there was some greed also. Remember the insurance money. Lynn was going to control that money, even though Karen was named on the policy. Maybe she would've killed Karen as well. We all heard her temper. She's way out of control. I feel so sorry for Ty getting involved in this. Why does he get life +30 years?

The system is broken plain and simple.. if the judge or district attorney prosecutors et cetera are having a bad day chances are it won't end well for you...
If you're going to murder someone, invite them on a trip to the UK and do it there. If you get caught, you'll only have to do like 15 years tops and then you'll be free. I'll never understand why people commit murder in states like Florida or Texas, where murder is actually taken seriously.
I cannot put my finger on it, but something just doesn't add up with the story. Do they really know who did it....am I the only one that thinks that there is a slight possibility that Ty never pulled the trigger....?
The defenses claim that Lynn wanted to get rid of Karen and the other guy that got them the gun (sorry I'm drawing a blank on his name) so she could have the baby is ludicrous. How could she possibly get custody of the baby? She's not a blood relative and Karen's not going to give her custody when she testifying in court. So how does that make any sense whatsoever?
Why do they bring up what was going on when she was a young person? PLEASE! She had a baby and did not want to change her life and her husband was tired of it! MEN go through DOMESTIC VIOLENCE too!
2:47 Why is his mother so calm after seeing her son bleeding on the ground? Also why didn't she testify in court as to the voice she heard at the unopened door? 🤔

It sickens me when people 'blame' mental health for their crimes and they get away with it. This woman deserved the same fate she gave her partner. Death. She was so sad prior to sentencing but afterwards she was full of smiles. The law once again failed the victim and the victims family. Very sad.
True but she most likely wouldn't be doing it at ANY level as she was used to while she was out. Takes too long to make mooch in jail for her I'm sure. She was drinking cases by herself.🤦🏾♀️

The system is broken plain and simple.. if the judge or district attorney prosecutors et cetera are having a bad day chances are it won't end well for you...
Maybe Karen wanted to wait until the next day for the police interview bec she realized she was too totally sloshed at the time to do it.
This shows how unexpectedly & quickly your life can end.
Tamron fills a sweater beautifully
Great story
My new favorite series!!!
Mine too ☺️‼️
7 yrs!! KARMA DRIVES A BIG BUS AND KNOWS EVERYBODY'S ADDRESS!!! Your day has yet to arrive 😜
No matter what you think about this case, Lynn was a real nosy backseat driver.
I love Tamron Hall but whoever her dresser is needs to be replaced. Her clothes don’t compliment her at all.
I thought the exact opposite lol. I thought wow that outfit looks great and I love that belt. 😮
If you're going to murder someone, invite them on a trip to the UK and do it there. If you get caught, you'll only have to do like 15 years tops and then you'll be free. I'll never understand why people commit murder in states like Florida or Texas, where murder is actually taken seriously.
😂
Australia is even worse. Their sentencing is beyond a joke. They don't give a crap about victims.
As far as I know, he lives with his daughter's mother and his daughter. That's the last message he left of LinkedIn. Today is now June 23, 2022 at 2:11AM, Eastern Standard Time, USA.
That’s why u Never let your spouse no your intentions of u planning to leave
Where is the lie?! Smh 🤦🏽♀️
Exactly!
I kinda believe that the black guy didn't kill that man, he bought a gun and they killed him.
Do you think they would pay thirty thousand dollars just for a gun? Most expensive gun anyone ever bought.
@@rhondasisco-cleveland2665 When you're desperate sometimes you pay to accomplish the mission.
I absolutely believe the wife had someone do it but I don't believe it was Mr Cooper, I believe his story but I also think he knew a little something.
Coopers mom and grand mom are looking so sad 30:30
Tamron is beautiful! A mesmerizing cadence!
Gees did they not do a gun residue test?
That’s what I was wondering! As well as her clothing for GSR and blood splatter
How come the mother of the person who was short didn't testify?? Because she saw the person who wanted to talk to her son..
"I guess all black people know people in the hood"
"Yeah I know people in the hood" 😅
Right!! Lol!!
I know it’s a serious situation, but I laughed so hard when he said that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@mssugahill me, 2!!
@@mssugahill I swear lol. It didn't help that I was super high when I watched it either.

LUV TAMRON HALL!!! 👍✌️😷🇨🇦
It sickens me when people 'blame' mental health for their crimes and they get away with it. This woman deserved the same fate she gave her partner. Death. She was so sad prior to sentencing but afterwards she was full of smiles. The law once again failed the victim and the victims family. Very sad.
Such a good series
TH in her natural element “ true crime “.
POOR LEWIS!
Lmao at anyone who believes prison is sober living.
True but she most likely wouldn't be doing it at ANY level as she was used to while she was out. Takes too long to make mooch in jail for her I'm sure. She was drinking cases by herself.🤦🏾♀️
@@Chauna30 If you’ve ever known anyone it’s ended up in the prison system, then you would know that it’s readily available at any time. They come out worse addicts than they went in. They will be repeat offenders and will end up back in the prison system. We will chronically be paying for their stay in our expensive high-rise. The United States prison system is not made for reform it’s made for repeat!
So a baby boy grows up with no father or mother.
I love tamran hall and she's gorgeous but that outfit is not flattering at all. She's better than that!!!
How the guy got same life in prison but his charge was a lesser charge....I don't get it.
