Paint-Along with Painted Willow Art - Color Mixing Made Easy

Paint-along with me while we do some color mixing! Don't be scared ... this isn't your normal color mixing video. We're skipping the complicated theory and going straight for playing with paint! You may never look at color mixing the same again. Give it a try!
A couple weeks ago I posted the question in the Community section of my UA-cam channel to see if anyone might be interested in a color mixing video. It was an almost unanimous YES, so here ya go!
This is a fun way to learn about mixing paint - specifically the paints YOU have on hand so that you can see the variety you have available to you. And the way we do it, we create a reference for the future so you know what colors to mix to make the one you want to use. A color recipe card of sorts!

✏️ Supplies Needed ✏️
I have only provided specific links for the things that can't be found at any art/craft supply store, and I do not get commission on anything I recommend - these are just the supplies I love.
Paper: I usually use Strathmore 400 acrylic paper, but for watercolor, any watercolor paper will work.
Pens: Love Sharpies, but generally any waterfast pen will work (Sakura Pigma Micron pens are excellent and don't smear with water)
Watercolor: My most used sets, and the two I talk about in in this video are Josie Lewis and Art Philosophy Co. Watercolor Confections sets

This is so interesting. I’ve only just started watercolour painting and making these charts with different colours is my favourite thing to do. And yes it is relaxing and makes me smile to see all the different colours. Thank you 😊

OMG. I have been too scared to try color mixing. The very first time I watched a color mixing by a woman, whom appeared to have severe OCD, made mixing a monster task. I eventually watched other mixing videos. They all left me afraid to try. Your video caused me to "see the light" on mixing. God BLESS you above and beyond any thing you can imagine!

Aw, thanks so much! Things like color mixing can feel intimidating. My whole goal is to make it feel less scary. Ultimately.. .if you just start mixing with the idea of exploration & "let's see what I get", it's much less intimidating. They haven't stopped. I try to do a new one about every two weeks. Sometimes my day job gets busy and interferes a bit. But.....I have a new video coming this weekend!! Thanks for watching, Dan!
