- Paint along with Painted Willow Art to make this two piece day and night themed whimsical watercolor & doodle painting. In this paint along video, I'll show you how to paint a 2 themed painting on one piece of paper that will incorporate both a day and night theme, as well as fanciful doodles in spots.

✏️ Supplies Needed ✏️
I have only provided specific links for the things that can't be found at any art/craft supply store, and I do not get commission on anything I recommend - these are just the supplies I love.
Paper: Any 140 lb. watercolor paper will work, but I usually use Arches. This can be spendy, so Strathmore 400 is a more affordable option but still good paper. At the end of the day, use what you have - just try to make sure it's 140 lbs. or more. That helps with warping.
Pens: If you are drawing on top, pretty much any pen will work. If you are drawing first, you want a waterproof pen. I love the Uni-ball Eye Micro and Uni-ball Deluxe - both are ballpoint, which stand up to the texture on watercolor paper very well. I have also used the Posca White paint pen in this video - tip size 0.7mm
Watercolor: In this painting I used Art Philosophy Co. Watercolor Confections sets

Tape: I am currently loving Scotch Wall Safe Tape, but washi tape is a good alternative. If you use masking tape or painters tape, make sure you de-tack them a bit because they can rip the paper more.
Eraser: Because people ask! :) I love the Pentel Hi-Polymer white erasers
Brushes: I really love the watercolor brushes from Nfinity Arts by Fibnacci - nfinityarts.com/pages/art-sup...
