That is one big buck, what a feeling. I was slightly pumped up just watching the video. I absolutely love that late pre-rut/rut time around late October/early November. The past 2 seasons I have gotten 2 of the biggest bucks of my life during those times. Congrats on a huge deer with a monster rack.

Question for you guys, how long do you wait to hunt the same area after harvesting a buck during the rut? I hunt private 40 acres and tagged a buck Friday evening.
If I feel like I can get back in there cleanly without much disturbance then I wouldn't have a problem heading right back in. 2 nights following the harvest of this one we had another shooter on the trail camera in daylight. It's the time of year to get agressive and lucky! Good luck this fall!
I have taken 2 big bucks out of the same stand on back to back hunts. I really don't think they know what has happened, as long as you wear rubber boots and don't touch everything, the worst mistake people make is using their hand to move branches out of the way.
Random foreigner question, in the video of the buck down with K giving the final interview, what's with the ring bark around the tree in the background? Is that a Maple or something?
It is a tree that was "girdled" as part of a timber improvement project.

Not sure what you mean by that? But Kurt is the land manager for a big property that he and Todd both hunt. That's why Kurt was in "Todd's Stand."

I wasn't positive that he had gone down, always better to be safe than sorry. Temperature was low 30s and I took up the track 2 hours after the shot......so the meat was no where near being spoiled haha thanks for watching.
I've watched 1000s of hunting videos and come across something that can't be a coincidence nearly every big buck video when approaching that buck after being shot they say "What did I just do" I've hunted my whole life but that lingo was never passed to me is a thing to say that? I would think each individual would say something different.
1000s of videos and "nearly every big buck video..." seems a bit far-fetched. Watch any of our other buck kills and you might hear that saying once or twice in the whole 14 seasons of hunts.
