- Tom Alford is still hunting hard during the dog days of deer season. After doing some in-season scouting, he's heading to a spot with an idea of what might go down, but he has no idea what's about to happen!

Thanks for a great season. I just started bow hunting last fall and you guys proved to be an amazing resource. Loved all the video content and can't wait to start next season fresh with you guys. In the meantime, you can bet that I'll be checking the video library to up my knowledge so I can tag that first deer next season. Thanks!!
That’s awesome bow hunting is the greatest thing ever good luck
That’s a great hunt! Tommy knows his stuff about deer brows. Awesome that he took the time to call his boy than pick him up so he could enjoy the moment with him. That my friend is what it is all about.
I love what he said to many people out here chasing a dream buck but I remember bow camps we hunted to feed are family . Nice job
Yes thanks it’s great when you’re out there chasing meat and a giant shows up got lucky for sure
Tommy always finds a way to get it done! Congrats to him 👍
Such a cool hunt, this guy has a really cool personality too! Great teaching and info! Crazy the yotes got on that buck so quickly!!!
Nice shot brother! Back straps!!!
That deer has more than 10 points, true friend, good shot
main frame 10
I would rather eat venison than beef.
Cue the "you should have given him another year" crowd. Glad you got him while he might be tender.
Great season guys can't wait for Turkey ...and of course already scouting for nexed deer season..and as always BHOD
What a hunt! What a shot! What a buck! Great job self filming! This hunt has it all! CONGRATS!
Thanks!
Thats awesome. Really happy to hear someone say its about meat in freezer for a change. Thats whats its about for me too.
I love the hunt, but the thing that i love the most in this video is the knowledge shared on deer food sources. I hunt Michigan Public land, and there are no open agg. fields and no baiting. So i would love to see some more videos like the beginning of this video.
Great thanks we plan on doing more videos like this one good luck
@@tomalford4653 Thanks for sharing that knowledge- i am watching it again with a notebook in hand.
Congrats on the Buck. But I have to give Big Props to Jack! Excellent job on the camera for the blood trail recovery! 👍
He's going to be taking Tommy's place on the team soon...😂😂😂
Thanks you very much. I appreciate you watching the show!!!
Hard to get a better late season buck. Wow. Congrats!
Darn coyotes!!! Does not take them long great buck👍🏼
Hello you guys were talking about watering holes for the deer to be able to drink water to keep them used to people is to go into those places and keep the ice cracked for them and they'll get used to your presence in the woods and as far as there traveling habits that changes all year round and that's the best part of being a good hunter is knowing exactly where they are and when they are there too and I'm not talking about using these cameras either I'm talking being in the woods constantly scouting them out too I myself personally won't even consider hunting a place until I locate and learn there movements through the years time its like becoming one with the animal that you are going after and after you do kill it you don't leave it until you have it in your hands regestured and in the freezer too have a great day now awesome buck
Tommy and his kid done awesome this year so is Tommy going to do a venison cooking show or a team member’s favorite venison recipes from every team member
Yes look for it coming to the channel soon thanks
Great buck Tommy!
Great shot and really nice buck!
Love your boys reaction👊
awesome, super nice late season monster....
Nice shot and good footage
Love that he is very knowledgeable about the tree species and browse opportunities.
Shhh... don't give him a big head! Hahaha!
Here for the throw back Thursday lol.
Awesome hunt n buck! Congrats. Time to coyote hunt now.
A true thing of beauty
Awesome buck good video
What a great buck! Congratulations, dude! Looks like you could use a coyote trapper or two!
Yes they are next on the list way overpopulated in my opinion
@@tomalford4653 I am not quite at the "only good coyote is a dead coyote" but I'm pretty close! Thanks for your reply.
FANTASTIC!!
I like your shirt Todd and an awsome hunt.
Amazing 👊🏻
This guy: I’ll shoot anything tonight, I don’t care if it has one antler....
Shoots a bigger buck than I’ll ever see.. lol (Michigan public land hunter)...
Lol yes I was just out for meat and old Moe giant buck shows up got lucky for sure you never know what might show up when you’re out hunting good luck Jake
Second favorite thing, shooting a big buck.First favorite thing getting my daughters for the track job for that big buck..100 percent
Hey bro, How do you like those spitfire xxx Broadheads? Congrats on a big Brusier 👍!!!!
Absolutely love them great arrow flight giant wound channels and 90% of the time pass straight through the deer or turkey.
@@tomalford4653 Thanks bro for the input. I have used Rage and swhacker Broadheads and have had bad luck out of both,so I've been looking at shooting these next year. They seem to leave great blood trails. Also, I love watching your hunts, keep up the good work and laying down good footage.
Nice shot hey brother the antlers not falling down yet late season I shot one I thought it doe but it buck because the antlers already fall
Yes some of the bucks have shed before the season ended last week
@@tomalford4653 oh thanks
Wish I would have known about the trophy doe contest sooner! Shot a doe that dressed at 165lbs!!
WHAT!? That's gigantic! You need to get an HME Digital Scale before the 2021 hunting season!
@@bowhuntordie agreed!!
What is the name brand of Tom Alford snow camo?
Lost camo by Matthew’s
good stuff boys! what camo pattern is Tom wearing????
Thats an old Mathews lost snow camo
@@tomalford4653 Thanks. I forgot all about that pattern. Keep up the good work boss. If your ever in Maine www.4peaksguiding.com be well!
Would you comment on the brand of Snow Camo your wearing?
That’s an old Mathews lost camo absolutely love it.
Heck of a hunt, congrats Tommy! Stupid yotes.
Great buck and footage until I saw that the coyotes had gotten to him. How many hours between shot and recovery? Go enjoy the moment in the daylight. I totally understand the father, son relationship thing. Miss my dad every day and he’s been gone 14 years. Keep the videos coming fellas!!!! Shed hunting soon 😃😃😃🦌🦌🦌
Less than one hour.
i missed it what state is this in?
Illinois
Well that is as we say over in nh a cocker!
Congrats man
#1hunt. He got warm pretty quick 👍👍
It’s hard to find property for a decent price weather leasing or buying
classic lumenock, works half the time
It worked perfectly
@@tomalford4653 oh yeah? So it's still on for recovering the arrow?
Beautiful buck, and from what the camera showed those coyotes made got to
Honestly it looked worse than it was they got about a big Mac size chunk out of the bucks ribs. No big deal he stocked up the freezer
Watched it drop and then came back hours later???
If you watched the whole thing, he didn't know that it dropped right away. He lost sight and thought it kept going. So he decided to play it safe and not risk bumping the deer off his property.
Good work Tommy! It so funny how the keyboard warriors get on you if you track a deer right away and if you give them time and coyote get to them. Theirs no winning with the internet all- knowing monday morning quarterback hunters. Lol
Yes for sure I really wanted Jack to experience a track job in the snow the coyotes timing was unfortunate but out of my control thanks for watching
I am that guy who loves eating venison. A couple years ago I put 7 in the freezer and my family did experience a little venison fatigue, ha! Donating more these days.
ive never had a deer run away like that after a fatal hit with its tail up. nice! But why ON EARTH would you wait to track that.
He didn't see it fall over till after reviewing the footage later, and he went to go pickup his son to help him track. He waited less than an hour. Thanks for watching
Awesome deer to bad about the coyotes getting to it
Yes but very little damage done we stickup our freezer
Before social media we just hunted and if we killed a 90 or 190 the people we showed pictures to were pumped for us, now if we aint shooting 6 year old 150's we not hunters. Sometimes its good to just relax and enjoy Gods creation and put meat in the freezer.
Why you wait that long if you see buck is dead?! You wait coyotes? Thats stupid..
In hindsight, he would have went after him right away. But if you saw the note we put on the screen, Tommy did not see the deer go down and thought he had went down into a ditch a walked away.
Just watched this episode and was disappointed the deer was left out for the coyotes despite the hunter watching it fall after the shot. Total disrespect for hunting and the game just to get some made up footage of the recovery. Unbelievable!
Please re-watch. He didn't see him fall. He left the deer there for less than an hour. Only after reviewing the footage closely days later, did we see him fall. He wanted to bring his son along to experience the recovery with him.
@@bowhuntordie Rewatching won’t change my opinion
@@gregmackey2735 Okay, you don't need to rewatch then, just understand that Tommy initially thought that the deer kept running. He didn't notice it go down when he rewatched the clip on his camera.
i think you guys are just to picky its called bow hunt or die not bow hunt and professional photographer but hey thats just me
I will never understand the "mmeeerrrp" . You don't sound like a deer, and people seem to do it before EVERY shot, moving standing still, whatever. Just whistle or yell it does the same thing LOL. Also the tree stand phone calls have to stop......
@@hunterguy123 no I get it, but literally anything will stop them....
@@michaelficarro2591 ua-cam.com/video/8DbXFqlMWtw/v-deo.html deer do go meh and whistling and yelling will often make them run away because they are not used to the sound
It's more a force of habit than anything...
When you stop a deer with a grunt at close range and the deer doesn’t see or smell you it will give you the extra time needed to make a perfect shot. I didn’t want him to take a step
Yeah...it clearly didn’t work for Alford here. Oh wait, it did. What do you care how he stops the deer? I’d like to fart to stop deer (simulated buck grunt) but I don’t have that kind of control. Working on it over the off season.
