- Get an update on weeks 3 & 4 of Justin's 2020 hunting season. He has his first encounter with a shooter buck on his home farm, attempts to hunt public land with Todd, and then makes his way back to his lease where he manages to harvest a nice Illinois buck. With October officially over, we now set our sights on November and the peak of the rut. Bowhunt or Die, baby!

Beauty ! Looks like I'll be getting a bike. A little iffy on the spandex. Good tip on the mechanical too.
Nice deer 🦌, good explanation of the mechanical broadheads!!!! Are you listening Archerytalk experts h😜😜😜😂😂😂😂
Amazing video and congrats Justin!! Keep it up!!
Congratulations Justin!!! I love creek bottoms.
Been watching you guys for 6 years now. Awesome to see you still producing. I enjoyed the recovery action as much as the hunt. Bow hunt or die boys 🏹🦌
Thanks man!
Awesome hunt buddy!! Beauty deer forsure.
Great hunt Justin! Thanks for all the little tips!
Nice job JZ ! That was also a great shot. Congrats and that was nice of Todd to help with the drag.
Awesome buck Justin! I need to find one of those productive trees here in Kentucky!!!😉🏹🦌💪🏽
Nice buck man, congrats!
Sweet , congrats!
I'm litteraly eating deer steak and taders while watching this! Congrats man nice buck!
Hey atleast I'm not the only one! Cheers buddy🍻
Nice buck!!! Congratulations
Great shot and awesome deer 🦌
Congrats JZ!
Great deer, JZ!
Thanx for the tip Justin, I’m the one who was thinking that my NAP spitfire fail to deploy while pulling them out a foam block, it’s good to know
great buck!
Let’s goooooo JZ!! My favorite BHOD member!❤️ getting it done baby! Nice buck good shot!
Love your show
Congrats Justin. Nice buck
A badger how cool!
Congrats
I love to be the shooter. and let someone else to the dragging.. with a little help from me off course.. lol.. Congrats JZ.. n Graff..
Nice work dudes. Justin you should start riding. If you ride areas you hunt, you're even scouting and cranking up fitness at the same time. I'm an old riding pal of Todds.
Congratulations i know what ya mean about those spots. A farm that my dad and i hunted for 32 years (18 of which i could hunt) had a Mega rut funnel coming out of a river bottom up into a megan funnel into "the pines" nicknamed the honey hole, between the 2 of us we killed 19 very good bucks for the area and my 3 largest.
“The pines”!! With bike ramps lol
Congratulations Justin.
Good job Justin!
Nice job Justin
Nice Buck! Time to invest in a game cart! They make a world of difference.
😂😂😂 The funny thing is that he actually had a cart in his truck. He just hadn't put it together yet! 😂
@@bowhuntordie Haha, well I suppose when you've got a friend like Todd, it's okay to be a slacker 😜.
Great hunt and nice shot! Congrats! And I've been using the NAP Spitfires since 2013 and they've compensated for some poorly placed shots! And I'm not trying to build a channel, I'm 68, but forgive me for piggy-backing, but just posted a video of a doe I shot on 11/1 w/a NAP Spitfire. Sorry if this offends you guys and promise to never do it again!!
Can't wait til Todd gets old n out of shape like me lol
i have used split fire for years. ive tried other broad heads but i dont think ive ever lost a deer using those.
You guys should have more subscribers. Kinda crazy you have so few
Nice buck! I have to ask though, does todd have a business card? I would love the same service 😂 Awesome hunt guys keep it up!
nice deer
And which vet do u shoot the long one or the short one
What pounds do you shoot your bow at
Nice hunt Justin. You'd get three times the views if you "said" you got him on public land with your saddle.
Why is it that you can quarter out the deer and haul it out? Would be so much easier then dragging it in my opinion
Great buck Justin! Just wondering, those arrows don't look like black eagles, they rather look like Easton axis 5mm's are you guys no longer sponsored by Black Eagle?
No - we are no longer affiliated with any arrow company. And yes, those are 5mm Axis 340's with a 75 grain brass HIT insert. They seem to be getting the job done so far!
@@bowhuntordie ok great for you, smarter bet I'd suppose since you can truly fine tune your setups. I guessed correctly then ;) good arrows the axis.
The fun stops when the drag starts! 😞 I always ? Killing a deer 🦌 when the drag starts!! Congrats Justin
Typically how high do you like to hunt from
Usually about 18-20ft.
Congrats brother vary nice deer ..hey how heavy are your arrows?
Which ver are you shootings and what weight draw
31.5 at 67 lbs
U like it better then the short one is there a reason
I wish my dad had property like this he has went to Ohio to find property and never did
Can you hunt on Sunday?
Yes, in Illinois we can hunt on Sundays.
Was that a badger?
Yep! First one I’ve seen in Illinois
@@JustinZarr that’s how the bobcats are here in ohio 2 years ago there were none hardly to be seen now I have them all over my cameras and see them while in the woods and they still won’t let us trap them
Good hunt man and great shot
Justin, get ya some sharp fixed blade broadheads buddy!!!
Why is that? A fixed blade would have had a smaller cutting diameter, thus taking even longer for the deer to die.
Bowhunting.com so ya get a complete pass through hahaha
Todd totally thinks that buck is 1 1/2 years old.
😂😂😂
Exactly why you don’t stop deer and put them on alert, if you can’t wait till they stop themselves then don’t take the shot, I just past on the biggest buck of my life which was roughly this size, for our state that’s a massive buck. I had a far back lung/liver shot which he wouldn’t of expired quickly. I let him walk at 28 yards. You don’t NEED to shoot one that bad. Mine was also public land, highly pressured and is hammered during gun.
He successfully killed the deer....
@@ryansaucier89 more like lucky. If you shoot deer bigger then a spike, you know that when you put them in alert like that they we almost always duck. It’s been proven time after time. Go back to shooting your immature deer!!!! Leave the big challenging ones to us real hunters lol
On*
Great hunt. But, you are better off not saying anything about the broadhead in this kind of situation. It is very obvious to the experienced hunter that the broadhead didn't open. Trying to defend the poor performance Sponsor or not, makes you look like a fool.
You're obviously not as experienced as you think...
@@justinzarr7877 Again, making yourself look like a fool.
AS REAL AS IT GETS my Rocket Steelheads make marks on the washer or insert when they go through a deer. There is a shot of the entry wound that is way to big for the blades not to have deployed.
Pro hunter and physicist here everyone watch out. Don’t shoot expandable a in front of this guy he might write a comment about you on the internet. @Justin Zarr how dare you shoot a different broad head than him?!
Lack of experience is obvious...😂
I quit using Swacker because I shot a buck two years ago and it didn’t open. I got maybe 3 inches of penetration and I was at the buck ran over 300 yard seen him cross the road and up on the private and watched him run another 400. I now use rage haven’t shot anything with them yet
