I've been a fan of Mr Numan since the early '80s. A vastly underappreciated artist .
If he was underappreciated, he wouldn't have a 30+ year successful career. he's incredibly appreciated, a pioneer to this day, and a huge influence of many artists today.
He has a cult following not main stream … indeed he is underrated for sure.

he deserves respect after all he has been through and has done for music.
I had the pleasure of unexpectedly bumping into Mr Numan this week whilst in Gatwick airport on business. I was absolutely amazed I got the chance to shake the hand and thank a child hood hero of mine for his fantastic under appreciated work. A true artist and gracious, polite and extremely talented guy who wrote the book on new wave synth, a legend. Gary, once again I thank you. Adam.
There is something about the sound he has now (this track and savage) that every track makes the hairs on the back of your
neck stand up.Long may it continue.....
I can't agree more. He blends the old analog with the new and does it so masterfully. All the old records play in my head when I listen and the hair on the back of my neck stands up. It's amazing.

Music, at its best, conveys meaning and evokes feelings which prose just can't quite get.

Just discovered this guy the other week. I usually am a punk rock / alternative listener but discovered this guy through an "are friends electric?" cover and let me say I'm impressed as all hell this guy's been kicking it since the 70s and still producing quality work. This song sounds like a modern 80s song. It's crazy, I love it
i listen to death metal like behemoth and gorgeroth. numan has caught on to me as well.
I like the calmer compositions of this album and Dance so much. They have such an austere and melancholy atmosphere with a truly lush and brilliant sound in textures and harmonies, and strangely intimate and humanizing for an artist so linked to a "distant android" character..

I don't know if Gary reads these comments or not but as a fellow electronic musician I would just like him to know that his work has influenced me since I was a kid. It was because of Gary that I got into making electronic music and have been for 20 years. Literally changed my life. Thank you Mr. Numan, please don't stop anytime soon.

Gary is heavily into both Sci Fi and Fantasy. I wouldn't be surprised if he has read Dune or seen the film. Definitely has the atmosphere of Dune or Mad Max (although Warriors was certainly more Mad Max)
Agreed, though the other thing it brings to mind is Fallout: New Vegas.

Gary Numan just keeps giving and giving, year after year, decade after decade. He never fails!! As I have previously said that I´m a Depeche Mode fan, been since they ever started but now I have to say that Gary Numan is my all time favourite!! This track is just perfect!!

Same, I always thought he was just a One-Hit-Wonder from the 80s as the only song of his I'd heard of was Cars until I heard My Name Is Ruin on an EBM compilation a couple of months back.

I freakin' love you Gary. I had your music playing at work (i work at a vape shop) and so many customers were like "wow this is awesome". Then my strict boss came in and i thought he'd make me turn it off but he actually loved it and said he enjoys the sci fi sounds

Gary Numan's definitely back at the top of his game. He's a fighter with a vision, and all credit to him for enduring the lean years and coming back to prove the press and the doubters completely wrong. We saw him last week (October '19) at the O2 Academy in Leicester, and I can honestly say it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot). The new songs sound amazing, and the reimagined old ones sound even better than ever. Raw and hard-edged, even my wife enjoyed the gig immensely, and she didn't even want to go initially! A true return to form, and well-deserved success for a true master!

When I first heard this I thought it was good, I’ve now listened to it a dozen or so times and I now think it’s brilliant, the production is outstanding especially when listened to on good quality headphones, I love the phrasing of the lyrics which are actually very cleverly written, Numan really is on a very rich vein of form at the moment, long may it continue!

I disagree, the song is epic and is on the same par with savage.
Nope. This chorus is just head and shoulders above anything he had recorded in years yet alone on Savage. I was disappointed with Savage I found it mediocre at best but this is a whole other Dragon.
Savage mediocre???? Really??? Haven't stopped listening to it since it's release and will do about 12 Savage shows this year. Best album ever.
Savage was great, so I disagree, but I think this is a step forward.
Totally agree with y'all.. the conclusion is epic and wish I was a tad longer. Brilliant chorus and great music, with impeccable production. Gary keeps finding new sounds and pushing the boundaries of music like no one can., and every song is different from anything else before.
