~Tapping into Your Potential Where Others Saw None~
Death Magnetic is extremely underrated. One of my favorite albums ever. But this is my favorite "speedy" Metallica song by far
Hi Kyle. How do you describe “speedy”? Is this like Blackened but not quite dyers ever?
@@coling657 well my favorite slow song is No Leaf Clover or Unforgiven 3, but fast-paced I consider All Nightmare Long their best but Blackened for sure is SICK. NO arguments
fully agree with you. just make sure to check out the remastered versions of the songs - way less compression. that's where you can find the full beauty of the songs :)
The Judas Kiss!
@@rokkkrinn2793 I become your new God now! I love that song!
James Hetfield's right hand is a drum kit on a guitar, best rhythm guitar player ever!!! If you wanna see this song live, Mexico city 2009 is wicked...
Man i love James hetfield 😍❤
The interaction between James and Rob right before the last chorus is pretty cool
It’s unbelievable, isn’t it? The fact that he’s the greatest rhythm guitarist of all time (in my opinion) and still so humble is a testament to his character. Legend.
Death Magnetic is a really great record. A return to form for the boys.
Dude, I'm 50 and still headbang
YES!!! Finally someone reacts to this song! There are so many great songs on this album, you gotta keep going.
LOL - Asks permission to stop headbanging...continues to headbang. Its a vibe - it cant be stopped. Take some advil and keep going. 🤘🤘
I love that you gave yourself a headache and still couldn't help but headbang a little more. Metallica is and always will be my favorite.
My favorite too!
WOW! Metallica has been one of my favorite bands since I can remember. James Hetfield has so much talent, as does every Metallica band member. As usual, great job on the reaction.
Such an underrated song of theirs! One of my favourites so glad to be seeing others enjoying it too!
It's duvh a great song ciuld rasily been on justice i think
Definitly
death magnetic is in my top 3 metallica albums
It's on my top 5 list.
Wow you love that much 😍😄
Your head motion there was spot on 👌you are now officially ready to expierence a metallica gig. Do so with pride as you will become family 🤝. Release all your energy and feel totally safe and right at home
The official music video helped me understand the song a lot more
Well, Lars writes almost all the songs... with James. Though, in this case, Rob, the bass player, wrote parts of it too.
Tends to be the case since the drums set the beat. Start with the drums, then build to from there
False
Hetfield is the genius behind this band
Lars doest even try to enter hetfield space, hetfield is a music genuis
@@neilmorgan5046Ulrich literally always has a shit ton of writing credits on every album what are you talking about
This song was based on Rob Trujillo's riff. He was playing around with his Flamenco guitar playing style, and James really liked it, so they build this song from Rob's riff.
That riff is only possible cause James is the best rhythm guitarist in the world and I cracked up laughing cause after that 2nd solo, I always wanted to just throw and break something just for the hell of it too 🤣
Lars and James have credit on EVERY Metallica track. If you watch behind the scenes stuff while they’re working and constructing the songs, Lars is pivotal to the direction and final out come of the songs feeling and composition. Another thing that amplifies the drum sound is James’ playing style. He’s known to have the best right hand in the business and is a riff-master, who almost chugs out riffs like he’s playing drums on the guitar.
This entire album is so underrated, even by Metallica fans. It’s definitely one of my favorite albums in their discography.
Awesome reaction bro! The next song I highly suggest from this album is “The Day That Never Comes”. Trust me that’s another epic song you should check out
Most times I don’t recommend the video version for a first reaction, but some songs can be forgiven like this one. Also, wicked game, nothing compares to you, e.g. lol.
@@coling657 you’re right. Definitely have to react to the studio version first because the videos to some songs is a little distracting
This is one of best metallica songs ever made, the video is so so good. 🔥
Hit that THANNGGG!!! Let's GO, LARS!!! Keep on keepin on, VAN!!!!!!!
Fun fact, James also plays drums.
Hell YEAH!!! The Kings!!!🤘🤘🤘This such a great song. I lose it every time they play this live. 14 Met concerts down, ? to go.
And THIS my friends us a fine example of why Metallica is legendary 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The beginnings of “elbow banging!” Nice reaction. Wow. Didn’t know you had the billy idol snarl as well!!
Love seeing lars finally start to get the credit he deserves. Only took 40 years haha
Keep bringing the noise bruh. Spot on.
Get it bro!
Metallica is my all time favourite but Testement “The Legacy” from the album Souls Of Black. Seen these guys 3 times. The Black album was crazy.Mosh pit was in the centre of the stage.
Awesome reaction, bro. James and Lars feed off of each other, and compose like 95% of the material. Metal pioneers 👊🤘.
One of my favorite Metallica songs of this millennium! This shit goes HARD!
They were about 45-46 years old when this album came out
At this point in their career, the entire band was credited for the compositions of each song. James wrote all the lyrics on the album.
Yeah metallica still and always will be the James and Lars show
so kirk was never credited for writing the solos of every song until now? jason was never credited for his bass parts when he was with them? kinda fucked if true
@@ECxTheMaster That's not what that means. In fact, it does mean that they were credited for their parts, just more generally. It was just noted that the lyrics specifically were written by James. But every other band member is credited for the entire song, subsequently meaning for their contributions.
@@TheBlackQueen ahhhh ok
@@ECxTheMaster the appropriate people were credited on each song. Jason wrote very few bass lines in Metallica
Bro not only their energy is crazy yours too🤣You are amazing
You should react to Larnell Lewis Hears "Enter Sandman" for the first time. Dude kills it. Amazing drummer.
I could listen to this on repeat 24/7/365 and never tire of it.
Also check out Unforgiven III off that album, Fade To Black live in Lincoln, NE in 2018 (I was there. The whole show is kick ass and is on UA-cam). Hero Of The Day and the Covid-19 version of Blackened where all 4 played it on a ZOOM Call from 4 different locations. Best version of Blackened in my opinion.
Word you're a drummer too? Big bless, bro.
4:40 that sound your referring to is called tremelo picking. To do it you pick up and down on one string of your guitar playing one note really fast. It involves mostly wrist movement
James is the main song writer and Lars is the main arranger basically
We all getting older by the second lol but still banging it's in my blood . Songs like these bring it outta me 😂😆🤘🏼🥁🎸🎵🎶
Omg Van you did Not just mention the most dope series EVER.... S.O.A 🏍️SONS OF ANARCHY
I watched every single episode of it in fact so awesome after it I quit TV til this day... nothing better to top that one
Ahh, getting to the tracks off Death Magnetic, a great album of theirs for their later career IMO.
I saw them 20 years ago and saw them two years ago. Energy hasn’t changed at all.
This song and Cyanide are my favorites on that album.
Let's Go, Lars!
🤘🏻
Watch the live performance 2009 Mexico. Epic performance!!
SKITTIN IT Heck yeah 🥁 can't beat it 😂😆
🤣 ow, have a headache can't headbang, .....
MUST HEADBANG !!!
ow, have a headache,
MUST HEADBANG !!!!
STAY METAL BROTHER
\m/ 💀 \m/
Walk this wayyyyy
Great song
Great album 🤘
yesssssss
This album is miles better than Hardwired
I like the way he bang his head awesome 😎
I just got the headphones you are using... Audiotechnica I got it with a mic bundle... had to give my Grado 325e's a rest.
You should check that song live it’s amazing and also Judas kiss from the same album a killer live !!!!!
Elvis made an appearance at 10:30
8:37 yup that’s called the thrash energy lol
James was 44 when they recorded this
Great air drums Van!🤘🏼😎💕no one does it like Metallica…one of my faves is Spit Out The Bone..you’d like it too I’m sure and the video is great✌️✨🌌
I get ya brother I experienced that myself when I was headbanging boy it doesn't feel good
Good call
Air Drumming and air guitar on point!!
The greatest metal band ever man no doubt.
dont break stuff. use this kind of music as workout music. its very motivating to keep you going
If you like hip/hop- metal mashups, try Bring the Noise from Public Enemy and Anthrax.
Go check out the four songs they released on "Beyond Magnetic..."
good reaction
practise some more headbanging get rid of the headache.. promis.. beside that, Mr church drummer i would like to see you doing "airdrumming "on 'tallica song.. you choose which song, like the whole song thrue, bet you aint got it anylonger.. i know i dont airdrum for 5 minutes and i am outta breath lol. great vid/reaction!
If I were to become a UFC fighter this would be my walk out song 100%! Especially the chorus part of it!
SMOKIN
should've check out the live version my friend, anyways Death Magnetic is an excellent album
Rob was a big part of this song.
The song was “walk this way” you should check it out - the video was really good too
Metallica is much much much much MUCH better live!
06:46 guitarist get"crazy" there !
I think they were in their forties during this album.
Correct
At least
You have to react to Alex bent from trivium his play through of trivium- beyond oblivion.. his drumming is insane … 8:30 😂 you funny
Metallica was in their mid 40s when they recorded this album
Hetfield right all the lyrics and music he is the talent and genius of metallica
If you like drums you NEED to listen to "And plagueflowers the kaleidoscope " by Ne Obliviscarus
Should check out there live performance of this from Mexico 2009
U notice that metalica when they released there stuff at first we thought it wasn't as good as there old stuff after time we see it was great.
this was always good
Not to headbang anymore? R U Nuts,!
lars en modo diablo
The moment you realized it was Aerosmith and then the music kicked back in was priceless 🤣
Bro PLEASE check out the music video for this IF YOU CAN. Its incredible. Don't even have to post it, JUST WATCH IT. One of the best ever.
Try out three MCs and one DJ by Beastie Boys....
Run DMC and Arrowsmith “Walk This Way” Public Enemy and Pentara “ Bring the Noise”
Well Lars says that he needs a longer and longer "pre-season" before recording or tour or his body punishes him hard. He might not be the best at keeping the beat, but he is very innovative. And as he has been heard saying "I bloody wrote the drumming so can't I play it as I want?" Always with a big grin on his face.
Can you do the new Megadeth song(s), if you're still doing that on another channel.
Keep the killer drums coming! Check out Mario's solo or Flying Whales by Gojira live at Red Rocks, The Dance of Eternity by Dream Theater or Where Eagles Dare by Iron Maiden. Three great drummers to get you hyped! Make sure to do some neck stretches before you go off head-bangin'.
You paly with direct drive dobelbasspedals or doubel chain ?
It was Aerosmith that Run Dmc collaborated with
"Wow! Wow! Wow! Shit!" Metallica. Enough said.
Yep. Their tours should be sponsored by aspercreme lidocaine and local chiropractors because let's face it.😂😂😂
Lars didnt exactly write it
The way Metallica writes songs is usually a group effort, Lars and James hit the basics and they basically build the song one rift at a time, then other members join in to put their touch and they perfect the entire track and its rhythm until they are happy with it which by then also has lyrics
They begin with an idea or a theme for the song, then they go from there
LFR Family dad, have you reacted to Eddie Van Halen Solo eruption live without a net 1986? It still gives me tingles.
Hey can why you don't check out Skillet band. Awesome positive message please
Until 2003's St Anger James and Lars are credited as songwriters on pretty much every Metallica song. James does come up with a majority of riffs and Lars has proven to be extremely skilled at arranging song structures. On St. Anger and after the whole band gets songwriter credit on everything but if you check out the behind the scenes studio videos the band released for the Hardwired To Self-Destruct sessions they're still working the same way where Hetfield and Ulrich are locking down the songs with their producer before Kirk and Robert roll in.
EDIT: I misspoke. They only did full-band credits on St Anger and Death Magnetic. As of Hardwired...they went back to Hetfield & Ulrich with Robert having some credit on ManUNKind.
As far as I can remember there is only 1 song Lars didn't write with James throughout Metallica's ENTIRE career. Motorbreath
Rock & thrash 🤟 I would love to see you react to Metallica Live in Russia after the wall came down. Enter Sandman then compare to Free Bird live Lynard Skynyrd 1977 (I think). Thanks LFR Family dad
It’s not advil. It’s vodka and beer.
