@@necropr I think it's very underrated. It's similar structured like "One", it has the same qualities, and mindblowing guitarwork/solo from Hammet. But most people still would say it's blasphemy to compare this to "One". Nostalgia leaves you blind sometimes. Or deaf in that case.
the lead singer is James. Cliff was the original bassist that died in a Bus accident while on tour

Technicality, but Cliff Burton was not the original bassist. He took over for Ron Mcgovney.

@@zleggitt1989 Same here! I love the overrall sound of Magnetic and I think it was a mistake to make Hardwired a double album. The secong part of Hardwired starts of very good with Confusion but then is a drag till the great Spit Out The Bone.

@@GhostfaceGaming61 you are rigth, it´s not really a double album, it´s divided in two halfs. And I think they overdone it. It would be much better whitout 3/4 songs that in my opinion are just pure plain and forgetable filler.
@@arc6017 i thought the same thing. Though I still think they are decent songs. I’m not one of those people who despise everything after the black album. Even tho the second half minus Halo on Fire and Spit out the Bone are not as good, I will never complain about more Metallica
Papa hetfield will always be the king of the riff. Obviously they only do it now for the love of it. They’re already arguably the biggest icons in metal, they just doing it for the love

Some people hate Metallica videos for distracting from their songs. You can also look at it the other way; Metallica videos are so strong they're capable of distracting you from the *incredible* music.
All Nightmare Long is another prime example of this, other people are commenting the suggestion and it's a good one. So is Here Comes Revenge.
This song got me through tough times as a teenage kid it help a lot the whole Death Magnetic album was amazing

Lead singer/rhythm guitarist is James Hetfield, drummer is Lars, lead guitarist is Kirk, bassist is current since 03 Rob Trujillo, from 86-2000-02ish was Jason Newsted, bassist from 83-86 was Cliff Burton

Death magnetic is one of their top albums , check out testament- more than meets the eye
People always gave this album shit when it came out, but I liked it a lot. Far better than Load and Reload.
@Don load and Reload definitely have some gems, but as an album in a whole I feel they're lacking.
What people dislike is how overmastered the production is I mean it's clipping
its ok . to even mention Cliff /muchlove/i have been rocking with metallica since the mid 90s. this brought me back so to speak.
The song and the video are two different stories. On this albums release James said in an interview his sister had been domestically abused. He had wanted to write a song addressing that issue.
Metallica also supports the military and the video pays tribute to them. 2nd half of the video with the broke down car shows how tense it can be trying to determine if the couple were a real threat or not. Because many cases just like that scene happened but the soldiers were tricked and set off an IUD or the woman could have had bombs strapped to her. The soldier took a leap of faith and the couple were genuine. The soldier looks up thanking God.
As a vet, that scene brings tears to my eyes.
Now do Confusion off the Hardwired album. It deals with PTSD and the video is excellent depicting it.
I just want say this.....keep in mind that the song and the video tells 2 different stories. The song addresses domestic abuse and when the victim hits a breaking point.
For the video they wanted to pay tribute to the soldiers.
They did an excellent tribute to the soldier and ptsd on the next album.

His name is James Hetfield. He is the front man of Metallica. Cliff Burton died back in 86 I believe. he was the bass player of Metallica. Cliff died from a bus accident.

This is a very underrated song. The guitar solo is so emotional. I love it.
I remember hearing this song for the first time. I was so annoyed at first because I thought it was gonna be the same Metallica were tired of but then that switch happens when they remembered who they were. Now I really love this song from start to finish.

People complain about the album St. Anger. But I like it. In fact their more recent stuff which came after that is really good. If people listen to it and give it a chance. This is my band. Greatest band ever in my opinion.

Death Magnetic is a really fantastic album its filled with soo many good songs but folks hate on it due to the....interesting mixing which kind of gets worse the louder you listen lol. Still one of my favs though.

This song is rarely mentioned amongst Metallica greats, but it is. It has real chills not unlike The Unforgiven. They've done good stuff since, but in my opinion this is the last truly great Metallica song ever released.
