I’M NOT CUTE I’M A BAD MOFO! - Комедії
This entire album is a freaking metal masterpiece
Except for the, you know... Lack of bass and absolute disrespectful treatment of Jason....
@@Eisenheim1191100% true but still one of the greatest albums
Everything before Black is a metal masterpiece
True dat
The beast Metallica album
Yeesss I'm a drummer. Lars has amazing footwork. Some people trash him. He is perfect for this band🤘🖤🤘
I'm not a drummer and I back Lars fully. Without Lars it'd just sound like any other fast metal band. IMO
I think Lars was brilliant on this album, a feat he unfortunately has never equaled. I think what most disappoints me about him is how he can achieve greatness on one album and be complete rubbish on another (St. Anger) and also his live struggles during parts of the 2000s. What is the reason for his inconsistency - lack of practice?
@@atides33 always looked to me that he had really bad elbow issues
@@atides33could be, lack of practise. Or alcohol. But he is a much better player he gets credit for. Worst thing about Lars is he can be a dick to people, even band mates around him. And lets not talk about the drum sound on a certain album😢😂
Oh come on, he does not have "amazing footwork". He's serviceable at best. If you do some digging you'll find interviews from studio assistants saying a good chunk of production time on AJFA was spent cobbling together drum takes.
I agree though, he is perfect for Metallica and is often a great driving force. Where he really shines is song arrangement, which he does on every single Metallica song, and is quite good at.
I love watching young folks rock out to the stuff I was rocking out to as a teenager in the early 90s.
Definitely one of Metallica's better thrash/rock tunes! Stoked you enjoyed it so much!
Metal is truly an assault on the senses. It wakes you up, pumps you up and makes you feel alive. I blast thrash metal during my workouts
Back in my 20s in the 80s I went to a Metallica concert and I was in the front row. I couldn’t hear for at least 2 hours after we left lol My friends and I were laughing so hard because we’re all screaming at each other and we went to some pancake house to eat and the waitress came up to us and said “How was the concert!?” LoL we were so high we just died laughing and then we were thinking how did she know!? 🧐
So we asked how did you know!? She said “You all are wearing Metallica shirts and everyone is screaming at each other! Before that I guess we thought we were talking normal!? 😂
It was fun and very loud!
Well to the Metallica family! I loved your review! You have a great year in pinpointing this as a masterpiece song. Most Metallica fans have kind of revolving favorite songs. But for a lot of fans, that know all the songs, this is a common favorite.
As you go through your journey, however, you’re going to be blown away by how many songs blow you away.
Again, welcome to the Metallica family! It’s nothing but love and appreciation of each other and Metallica.
Thanks for the comment ! And every time I listen I’m blown away so I can’t wait for more songs. :)
Always loved the phrase "Shortest Straw has been pulled for you".
Really worth watching Lars (the drummer) playing this for Guitar Hero mo-cap. Really highlights how tricky this timing is. Sidenote: He has said he never felt like a good drummer until this album
Technically, the musicianship is impressive. The vocals are gritty, somewhat angry and hard to understand but, that’s heavy metal. That drummer literally drove the whole performance. Hard to ignore his power and the energy required to sustain such rhythm and the level of energy required. I’m no heavy metal fan but yes, Metallica always gives their fans what they crave. Glad to see your notification
. Hope you, your lady and your sweet, little princess is doing well. Hugs
what about the two guitars that are playing during the song and one of them that does a solo we left that out
@@fredtelloalso left the part out about Metallica not giving their fans what they crave for the past 30 years lol
My favorite from this album. Badass tune. MEGADETH song Lucretia next. Take No Prisoners is killer also.
You got it exactly right. "as we grow me learn". Cheers, man.
Thank you :) cheers!
Seen them perform live 3 times and Lars is awesome behind the drums. Good at his craft and a good entertainer too. This was the album that made me become a Metallica fan way back in the late 80s.
And justice for all.. every song on the album, awesome! 🎉🎉🎉
I cant wait for you to listen to Welcome Home Sanitarium!
Kill ‘em all album is great too.. I go crazy to every song on that album! Timeless treasure from the early days of Metallica! I specifically love four horseman, and seek and destroy. Those are my two favs on that album
Only song I refuse to listen to is anasthesia
I love black album when i started to metal in 1995. I really really love album. When i discovered this album i really surprised. Oh maaaan. This is my new favorite album.
Man I really enjoy watching your mind going as you go through these songs that were and are very much apart of our being. Songs that carried myself and so many through so many dark times then gave us the will to keep fighting! But to watch you grow and your mind expand!! Keep moving on in your Metallica path!
Greatest album in history right here. A total masterpiece of music🤘🤘
Great reaction!! Please check out their instrumental, Orion which features original bassist Cliff Burton. You'll love it!! I just saw them live in Arlington TX this past Aug 18th & 20th (it was a 2 night show) they were ABSOLUTELY AWESOME as usual!! They performed for at least 2 hours each night, different songs both nights and that is one of the songs they played!! It was EPIC!!! Man, I screamed, shouted and sang so much and so loud that I blew my voice out and I wasn't able to talk much above a loud hoarse whisper 3 days later! Absolutely worth it!!!!!! Consider this, all the guys are either 60 or pushing 60 y/o and they ROCK just as HARD now as they did 24 years ago when I saw them for the first time in 1999. 🤘Rock On!🤘 Kelly
I saw the show in NY I’ve loved then since I was like 12 and I can’t tell you how I loved how they’ve grown with me.
this whole album is like this song. check out some more stuff off it
That coffee reference is perfect. I don't even drink coffee but still
blackened and dyers eve from this album please coolest songs on the album
Welcome to the family, bro! You are one of us now! Thank you so much! 🤘
Underrated song asf so fucking heavy and the solo is fucking great 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Do more from justice for all album. Just subbed. My favorite album.
I just saw them twice in Arlington, Texas last week. In the pit. My 15th and 16th live Metallica shows. I’m still bruised up pretty bad. It was my birthday weekend and my fiancé bought me a “Shortest Straw” shirt the day I got home from the mayhem. Subbed 🤘🤘🤘
Now check out "...And Justice For Jason" where you can here the bass guitar in the mix. Great reaction. 🇺🇲
you should hear Fixxxer or The outlaw Torn
If u want yo hear only instrumental music from thet, check "Orion", "to live is to die", "the call of ktulu" and "suicide and redemption".
This song was wrote for Cliff Burton. The original bass player that died in a tour bus accident. Sad day for music. Rest in peace Cliff you are missed. Cliff pulled the short straw.
Did they actually confirm this?
Ummmm , NO. Kirk and him flipped a coin .
But hey , keep making up BS to try to look cool ......
@@whatizreality0124You got it wrong too lol they actually drew cards for the bunk. Cliff drew the Ace of Spades, aka "the death card", and I believe Kirk drew a 10 or something.
Cliff didn’t write this song, and he didn’t really write any songs from Justice actually, To Live Is To Die is most likely crediting him for the sake of it being about him Cliff didn’t write anything on shortest straw
100% BS and you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to spread this feeble lie. Did you even read the lyrics? They would never write something like this about Cliff. When they were handing out brains somehow you drew the shortest straw and have been trying to think with it ever since. 0/10 comment is bad and you should feel bad
Check out "Spit out the bone" From one of their later albums. Song doesn't give you a second to relax.
Love this reaction man, one of my favourite songs from Metallica.
I felt the way you were swaying in the second part to the off beat notes and then right back to the chuggy groove 😅 that was epic and exaxtly how that part is supposed to be experienced 🤘
It is awesome to watch you become a head banger.
You should watch metallica's documentary "Some kind of monster". They show a kind of messy part of their careers. But I loved a quote from Lars Ulrich saying that they created aggressive music without negative emotions. This is what separates Metallica from all/most other metal bands. They are not devil worshippers, they are just channeling aggression in a way that energizes you.
Now you gotta do Disposable Heroes bro. Will blow your freaking brain.
If you want to see a great show of them live, Harvester of Sorrow 1991 monsters of rock.
Possibly my favorite Metallica song! A killer!
hey! you can find separate instrument track on youtube:
u can search "shortest straw guitar track\drum track\vocals track"
u can hear certain things when the instruments are separated
Thank you!
I’m not going to lie, I had to fast forward this a little to the solo, I couldn’t wait. I don’t see a lot of reactions to this song, and it’s my favorite solo. This is probably my favorite Metallica album, too.
I get what you’re saying about the pauses. I used to play in a band that did a lot of pauses. Honestly, it gets easier the more you do it. The more the band practices the more in-sync you get with each other. I don’t know how the magic works, but it definitely feels like magic.
😂😂 I don’t blame you for skipping , this solo still has me rolling
…And the justice for all album is a master piece. First album I ever bought when I was 12yo in the early 90’s🤘🏼
While watching the first few minutes of my dude’s reaction to this song, I couldn’t help but say to myself…. “First time?” 😅
Loool
@@TooBlunt you just earned yourself a subscriber. Good stuff my boi
❤️🙌🏿 thank you for the feedback and for subscribing pal 🙌🏿
Hugs my man 😘 love your reactions 😍
Drummer here. Yeah, it ain’t easy. Even more changes than normal. I couldn’t just sit down on the kit and play the whole album. I love the whole thing. Injustice is unfortunately still relevant today. The “justice” system”. 🤨
you said it. lars is a god!
Metallica is generous with their music videos. They share way more than any band I've seen on UA-cam.
And they don't copy strike. Now UA-cam... that might be a different story.
Thanks mom and dad! Too damn funny!
Love your Metallica reactions.
You really need to watch a video of him playing that Guitar. its amazing! same for the drums
one of my Metallica favorite songs
Great reaction! Loved it!🤘🏻
The best Metallica album made..in my opinion...the deeper meaning behind this album is exactly how most of America feels
It’s kind of funny that you are giving Lars (Drummer) mad respect, reason I say that is because for years he has been criticized for being off beat and everything else under the sun. As a fan of Metallica I appreciate them all.
I suggest you 'The Day That Never Come' ..from Metallica
Fun
Great job !
welcome to the metal world ,,the best music of real musicians ,,new suscriber too, good reaction
Welcome to the world of metal and guitar-oriented music.
I recommend: Megadeth "Good Mourning/Black Friday" - Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? (1986) and Five Magics.
Enjoy!
Seatle Blackended
Check out S&M by Metallica the abulm is with the San Francisco Phil harmonic. Now take Metallica and add a symphony live
Thanks mom and dad😂 you’re fularious! I can relate being 5’5” and shrinking as I pass 50😢
😂😂😂
And when you think that they created this in their early twenties. Go check a live performance of this song if you're curious about how they do this
I love Sandman!
Key members of Metallica:
James Hetfield - Lyricist, Rhythm Guitarist, Songwriter
Kirk Hammett - Lead Guitarist, Guitar Soloist
Lars Ulrich - Drummer, Songwriter
Bassists for Metallica:
Cliff Burton - Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets (additional credits on ...And Justice for All)
Jason Newstead - ...And Justice for All, Metallica (coloquially known as "The Black Album), Load, Reload
Robert Trujillo - Death Magnetic, Hardwired to Self-Destruct, 72 Seasons
Notes:
James and Lars met and formed the core of what would become Metallica in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. Guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist Ron McGovney later joined them as the band progressed into 1982. After seeing the bassist for the band Trauma one night at a club, James and Lars were determined to get him into the band, but he would only agree to join them if they moved to San Francisco. They agreed and as Ron was looking to leave the band anyway, Metallica made the move and added Cliff as their new bassist. The lineup remained stable until mid 1983 when, while on their way to New York City, Dave made his presence in the band unbearable with his heavy drinking and savage violent behavior. So upon reaching New York and contacting Kirk through a mutual friend, Dave was sent home on a bus while Kirk was flown in to take his place. This brings us to the full starting lineup on the band's first album, "Kill 'Em All" - James, Kirk, Cliff, and Lars. (Amusing side note, the title for their first album was originally supposed to be "Metal Up Your Ass" but the record lable they were recording with wouldn't allow it, and an off-hand remark from Cliff became the genesis of the album's finalized title.)
The quartet were a solid force of nature from the outset, filling ever expanding tours until the release of "Master of Puppets" in 1986 saw them opening for Ozzy Osbourne in the US and headlining their own tour with Anthrax in Europe. A dark night on the road after a great show in late September turned into a nightmare as their tour bus skidded, flipped, and rolled, throwing Cliff through a window only for the bus to land on top of him, killing him, and sending his band mates into a raging spiral of grief. They barely had time to take Cliff's body home and bury him when they were pushed to take on a replacement bassist in order to finish out the tour. Three weeks after Cliff's death, Jason was selected to take his place.
The band seemed to struggle at first, but they did settle into the new arrangements, skyrocketing into mainstream success rapidly with each new album. Everything seemed stable until early 2001 when Jason announced that he was leaving the band, which sent the others reeling. James went into rehab for several months, and with no bassist, producer Bob Rock filled in for the recording of "Saint Anger" (though he was never officially recognized as a band member, more of a "session musician" kind of role) while the entire three year turmoil around the band was filmed and turned into the infamous "Some Kind of Monster" documentary film. As the band completed the new album, they auditioned for a new bassist and found Robert to be more than up for the challenge by opening his audition with the song "Battery", probably Metallica's fastest and most brutal song to play, easily keeping pace with the band. Robert has since proven time and again his worth and remains a solid and steadfast member to this day.
Old school plenty of good tunes enjoy
Awesome reaction!! Would love to see you react to “Sound Of Silence” by Disturbed!! 🙏♥️
This whole album is brilliant! There is not a single song that gets skipped. I wore my first copy out! I'm going to have to go through your video list to see which ones you've done already before I make suggestions.
Funny... You mentioned satanic. Yeah, people thought I was. I always played them "Creeping Death" by Metallica. It tells the story of the freeing of the slaves in Egypt, from the perspective of the final plague released on pharaoh.
😊
Love love love watching someone experience and thoroughly enjoy their MetallicA journey! So much material to discover!
So waiting for your head to start the hair whips lol .... lets the dreads fly brah. Lol
Well done... i like their black album. I wasn't really a fan untold i heard their S&M album ( them backed by a 57 piece symphony orchestra). Then i went back to some older stuff. One tip on head bangen, start slow. Too many times ive had whiplash for a week. Just sayen...
I like your show I love Metallica but you should start mixing in Black Sabbath one of my favorites is In To the Void
Lars is usually off beat lol, there's probably a bunch of studio work here and wood sticks.
And after he started using aluminum drumsticks he gained more of a delayed thud sound.
Too funny😅😅😅
Pantera
How tall are you?
This album has the most aggressiveness, attitiude, fuck the man mentality out ofnl all their albums. Just needs more bass. The solos, drums, guitar and vocals are all in your face and angry.
math-tallica
I love you, buddy. Yeah…this album’s awesome.
Great reaction. You didn't miss a thing, except maybe the bass. All metal fans know about that one. Lars (drummer)gets a little too much hate. If you wanna hear some mind-blowing drums, check out Mario Duplatier from Gojira. ua-cam.com/video/fCf-27sbEFU/v-deo.html Lyric version as well. Cheers!
Dammit, im late... just letting you know this is one i don't know...
Lol no worries brother
Lars is a good drummer and a legend in his own right…but he is not the best metal drummer out there.
as for who’s who in the band:
James Hetfield - lead vocal / rhythm guitar
Lars Ulrich - drums
Kirk Hammet - lead guitar
Cliff Burton / Jason Newsted / Rob Trujillo - Bass
James and Lars are the only original members left. Kirk replaced Dave Mustaine (of Megadeth) during the recording of the first album, Kill ‘Em All. Cliff replaced the original bassist, Ron McGovney who quit after the first year due to tension with Lars and Dave. Cliff was on the first 3 albums before he was killed in a bus accident while touring for Master of Puppets. Jason then replaced Cliff, before leaving to work on his own projects. Jason was there for a covers EP, a covers complication album and 4 original albums between 86-01. the band then recorded St Anger without a permanent bassist, letting producer Bob Rock fill in. that didn’t work very well, so they hired Rob and Rob has been there since. 3 full albums, an EP, a disastrous crossover concept album as the backing band and a live album later…and still counting.
Metallica in a nutshell.
Try not to bang your head, its impossible.
listen to the bass isolated 😑
Lars Ulrich is the drummer in Metallica, and he'd be the first to admit to you he's not the greatest drummer!! You want to hear a great drummer, Listen to Rush. Neil Peart is the Percussionist/Lyricist. Song - Freewill Album - Permanent Waves, from 1980. Yes, there is a difference between a Drummer, and a Percussionist... Neil is a Percussionist. But also a Drummer. Are you confused yet? Just listen to Rush, and it will all make sense!😉
Lars isn't actually very good when you compare him to every other drummer in this era of metal. 😂
There’s a reason they’re the goats
just wait til he hears dyer's eve...
